Garrett Duke

Garrett watches everyone up front with dismay. Even with everything but the best under his hood and in his tank, it wasn't enough to out run everyone's shine they seem to be using and drinking.  
Thinking of their drinking, Garrett gains a little confidence in knowing that he should be able to outsmart them being sober. and begins to think of other options before he notices a side road on the  right and he quickly turns right onto the bumpy and rough road that is surrounded by trees and weeds. He holds onto the steering wheel tightly as he is bounced around with his foot all the way on the accelerator.
Following the trail around curves and fallen branches he makes his way around a curve to see the opening that leads back onto the track everyone is on. Hoping for the best, he pushes the accelerator down and feels his car jolt forward before he is thrown back on to the track, right next to everyone else!
"Surprise!" he yells out his window as he inches ahead of everyone.

"What the -" Garrett lets his sentence drag off in surprise at seeing Hobie flash by him before he straightening up in his seat and aggressively forces Spittin Cobra to forward at somehow a faster pace. "So this is how ya wanna play?" he hisses as he charges alongside Hobie.

Looking back in his rearview mirror he sees everyone getting closer as he fights with Skipper.  Looking back at Skipper he is impressed by the manpower and speed of his car.  But what everyone doesn't know, is that he has a souped up Jeff Gordon engine under his hood. The same engine that brought Jeff Gordon to the checkered flag and championships many times.  "See ya later," Garrett shouts at Skipper as he presses the accelerator to the floor and Spittin' Cobra flies ahead and Garrett cuts Skipper off again before rushing ahead. 

Garrett felt guilty passing Jesse as he saw the dirt bike on fire, but seeing he was ok, he floored the accelerator to the floor only for him to hear the dirt bike explode behind him. He contemplated going back to check on him as it seems as he has already lost the race. He was angry and disappointed in himself, but he knew he was racing the honest way without using alcohol from anyone else. Just the best gas he had gotten. Pure NASCAR gold gas that he had gotten when he gotten Jeff Gordon's engine.

With seeing Jesse was Ok gave Garrett another surge of adrenaline and he shoved his car faster forward. He was never one to give up on a race until it was over.

"Ain't no way no boat is gonna beat Spittin' Cobra!" he states as he aggressively fights his way besides Skipper. Garrett forces a smile at Skipper and a wave while yelling out his window at Skipper, "Nice move!" With that he goes off track a bit to gain some momentum before weaving back on track to cut Skipper off.

He braces himself through the rough terrain and swipes left to miss a fallen log before the path abruptly turns back onto the road and Garrett laughs to see Hobie several car lengths behind him now.

"Hello Garrett!" (Waves at him.) "This interesting since we both have Mustangs." With that, puts the hammer down and races after Garrett to get the lead back again.

Now that Uncle Jesse sabotaged the Minnow and Skipper is no longer towing it, he's rid of the excess weight, and jumps Dry Creek and cuts Garrett Duke off stealing 1st place from him.

and your favorite baseball team is the Pittsburgh Pirates. 

Mine is also! If it's a professional league I'm a Pittsburgh fan, OSU for college, Celtics for NBA and LA for WNBA

I was just teasing Garrett. He's a Cubs and Bears fan. I'm the Pirates, Steelers, Penguins fan....Timberwolves fan in NBA. 

Confederate Railroad was the first concert I was able to go to and I had enjoyed every moment of the concert. They were a great band. Now each time I hear them on the radio, I think of that night I went with my mom.
I have been to many more concerts since then. I have seen Billy Ray Cyrus and John Micheal Montgomery at least three or four times each. Even been on stage with Billy Ray at the last concert I went to. The best concerts I've gone to (not including any concerts or shows at the four Dukefests I've gone to) have been Kenny Chesney with Keith Urban and Dierks Bently (several years ago), Keith Urban with Little Big Town, Brooks N Dunn (Twice) Brad Paisley and Toby Keith would be my favorite three shows I've gone to. Alan Jackson with Martina McBride were great, but could have been better if they had a better sound to it - they were in a football arena and you couldn't understand them when they talked. Toby Keith was at the same place and had the same trouble as well.

Well I'm sure for most of you, I don't have to say who's my favorite driver. But I'll put it here for the newbies. 
My all time favorite driver is Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson. I do like Dale Earnhardt Jr as well.  My favorite current driver is Chase Elliott. I'm all for team Hendrick.

Garrett glares angrily as Hobie passes them and pushes angrily on the accelerator and aggressively passes Hobie to regain first place yet again. 

Garrett seeing Skipper attempting to edge closer to him, Garrett waves out the window and applies more pressure to the accelerator to make Spittin' Cobra, his car, to jump ahead more. 

While everyone is distracted, Garrett easily passes them all with a sly smile. Staying focused and serious on the race will definitely be on his side.  He shakes his head and smiles in disbelief as his competition is literally left in his dirt and getting smaller in his rearview mirror. He can smell and taste victory ahead of him as he knows what's on the line and he will do everything that he can to ensure he protects his win streak.
