(Season 3 Gilligan vs Gilligan)Professor:"Gilligan, I'm afraid under the circumstances of circumstantial evidence, you are a provericator!" Gilligan:"Oh. Well, that's better than calling me a liar." Skipper:"Gilligan, that's what provericator means!"

Another hijack of the thread for a belated tribute. On March 16th we lost German racing driver Sabine Schmitz after a four year battle with cancer. She was just 51.

Despite having a successful racing career, it was her first appearance on 'Top Gear' that brought the "Queen of the Nürburgring" to a worldwide audience. The Nürburgring is a 12.9 mile track with 147 corners that's located in the middle of a German forest. Sabine was born there and knew the track better than anyone.

Here's the Top Gear Special tribute which aired last night. It includes contributions from TG presenters old and new as well as a variety of people from the world of motorsport.

Hmmm, around my neck of the woods a bugger could be just about anything. If you lost your wrench "Now where is that bugger?". If a puppy was cute "That's a cute little bugger". If you got a splinter "I need to get that bugger out."
Speaking of puppies, we're getting ours today....haven't had a dog in 5 years.

I just watched a 2019 episode of Running Wild with Bear Grylls where he takes celebrities out into survival situations. This one had actor/comedian Joel McHale. At the beginning McHale jumped into the open window of a wrecker, prompting Bear to mention him being a Dukes of Hazzard fan. Joel responded by mentioning Boss Hogg.....it's always fun to hear Dukes mentioned when not expecting it.

Thanks for posting the video, Spike. At 17:16 - "The Duke brothers' car, the General Lee...". The caption writer obviously wasn't a fan.

I laughed at the guy right at the end who said the traders were an insult to Pez community!

Skip to 16:40 to see the Dukes of Hazzard collection. I have the lunchbox pictured at 18:01.
Good luck with the puppy. Let's see in a few weeks if that bugger wears you out.
Hope everything goes good with your wife's surgery.

When the alarm went off this morning I turned the TV on to wake up and Pawn Stars happened to be on whatever channel we fell asleep too. A guy was looking to sell his Dukes of Hazzard collection. He probably had everything that was ever made for the tv series, toys, games, action figures, cars, lunch boxes, etc... even a calculator. They had an appraiser check it out and he said the whole collection was worth $1,500 so the pawn shop and the seller settled on $1,200. The most expensive thing in the collection was Daisy Duke's jeep, the appraiser said that is the rarest toy that was made because everyone wanted a general lee and cop car to wreck when they were kids, so he valued that toy at $800. That kind of sucked to hear as I had one when I was a kid and I was not gentle with my toy cars . When you're a kid you're not thinking this toy is going to be a collectible when you grow up, keep it nice as possible, you're thinking about recreating a jump from the show or wrestling move or battle etc...

His father is mentioned in "Undercover Dukes". He's one of the drivers racing in the NASCAR race and the announcer mentions him. Having a Dukes connection is all I need to pick him as a favorite.

Gilligan's Island Fun Fact: Alan Hale's black Lancaster hats and Jim Backus white Lancaster hats all had the shaper stiffening rings inside around the top like my Bluenox hat has. But they were removed for filming the 3 seasons 98 episodes 1964-1967 because with the rings in, it wouldn't look right for men stuck on an island. Except Alan Hale's Midway in Rescue From Gilligan's Island (1978) cuz Midway are made without the rings put in.
