Here's the ultra confusing format for the all star race https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2021/04/28/chase-elliott-denny-hamlin-martin-truex-joey-logano-kyle-larson-nascar-all-star-race-format-revealed/
Good luck following this during the race.
The starting lineup will be set by a random draw. The first round is 15 laps. An inversion will take place (minimum of eight cars and maximum of 12) before the second round, which is 15 laps. The entire field will be inverted before the third round, which is 15 laps. Another inversion will take place (minimum of eight cars and maximum of 12) before the fourth round, which 15 laps. Starting positions for the fifth round will consist of the cumulative finish from the first four rounds. The lowest cumulative finisher starts on the pole, second-lowest starts second, etc. All cars must enter pit road for a mandatory four-tire pit stop during the fifth round, which is 30 laps. The fastest team on pit road during the mandatory stop will earn $100,000. The starting positions in the final round, which is 10 laps, are set by finishing positions in the fifth round. -
RogerDuke reacted to HossC in Dukes of Hazzard Fun Facts
I'm just wondering where you found this information, because IMDb.com says that Black Jack Perrill was voiced by Jeffrey Buckner Ford (as Jeffrey Ford). I can see a resemblance between the character of Black Jack Perrill and Jack Palance, but can't find any other connection between the two.
As an aside, was it just a coincidence that the game had Black Jack Perrill and 'The Meeting' in season 2 had Black Jack Bender? Boss used to run 'shine to Chicago for the latter. Funnily enough, Black Jack Bender refers to Boss as Curly, which was the name of Jack Palance's character in 'City Slickers'.

Cousin Hoss... Interestingly Black Jack Perril dresses like Curly.

RogerDuke reacted to Skipper Duke in Dukes of Hazzard Fun Facts
Sorry y'all. I have checked it out via evidence provided by Cousin HossC. It turns out, Racing For Home bad guy Black Jack Perril was not voiced by Jack Palance(Curly)from the City Slickers movies, but voiced by Jeffrey Ford. However he shares similarities with Curly such as looks and clothes. But the resemblance ends there. Also turns out that Geologist/bad guy Johnny Rob in Daisy Dukes It Out was voiced by Jeffrey Pillars(Uncle Jesse Duke)who also played Uncle Jesse Duke in Racing For Home. Not Billy Bob Thornton. Sorry about the misinformation y'all. However once again, Johnny Rob shares looks with Carl from Sling blade movie. But the resemblance Also ends there. Cousin HossC... Many thanks for investigating this for me, and setting the records straight!

Count me in Garrett. It will be an honor getting beat by such a knowledgable NASCAR fan as you.
(Of course beating you would be even more fun and that's exactly what I plan on doing)
I'm wondering if you should start a new thread and title it 2013 Fantasy NASCAR. I think folks might avoid clicking on this thread since it's title is old.
And....if you do it now the first post will be dated Dec 25! What a great Christmas present....the official start of your NASCAR league.

Wow, I gotta hand it to you Garrett. That was one very powerfully written guilt trip. The whole time I was reading it I was hanging my head in shame like a six year old who just got caught stealing cookies. I don't know if I'll ever recover from this deep seeded feeling of guilt that you have laid upon me. I may possibly be scarred for the rest of my life because of my horrible actions and your scathing accusations.
Wait a minute.....
I'm all better now....
GO DALE JR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Skipper is amazing. You can post a picture of any scene and he'll tell you what episode it is from. I think he can do the same with Gilligan's Island and Andy Griffith. A walking talking computer.

I'd forgotten that the brown truck made it to California. Cooter and Daisy use it to follow Rosco, Enos and Jesse as they look for the boys in 'Deputy Dukes' (roughly 2/3 of the way through the episode). In 'Double Sting', Bo uses it near the end of the episode to push the shack into the lake.
Is it safe to say that it only appeared in season 1?

My uncle had one on the back of a Cutlass he had for a short while. I remember the police pulled him over a few times for that non-stock bumper

I had a friend in college who had a truck with a wooden bumper!

Hi Mark B/ Scooter Davenport! Skipper to the rescue. I have gotten off the island and taken a break my 3 hour tours long enough to type this lol. The brown Chevy tow truck appears in Repo Men, Deputy Dukes, and Double Sting. It's also in One Armed Bandits, as HossC pointed out. However, not driven by Cooter in O. A. B.

Tuesday I transformed a bare concrete front porch/patio with four planters. In two large round pots at the east and west corners I planted large Elephant Ear bulbs which should get about 5-6 feet tall for a bit of privacy with a surround of Petunias which will hopefully drape over the side. In between those large pots I placed two rectangular raised garden bed planters with various flowers. Then I surrounded the area with a small plastic picket fence, it's not the size I would have chose but it's what the homeowner wanted. I'm looking forward to seeing it in a month or so when the plants have filled in.

I knew what you meant. I was just being goofy.
I was on the way to a high school baseball game this afternoon, listening to the classic country radio station and they played the Dukes theme song. I smiled at every note. And after it was over I turned the radio off to keep the song in my head. Every once in awhile you have a moment where the Dukes of Hazzard feels brand new again. I love those moments.

When I was a kid my grandfather had a truck like this. It was orange....but with no 01 on the sides.

The same truck appeared without the plank of wood in 'One Armed Bandits' (inset), but not driven by Cooter. The image below is from the Cooter's Tow Truck thread. I don't think it appeared after the Georgia episodes, so there's only three more to check!

Can anyone provide episode titles that feature Cooter's brown chevy tow truck? I believe its just season one but I could be wrong. I know its featured heavily in Repo Men, but I need to know the others.
Thanks in advance for any help!
