  1. Today
  2. I wasn't expecting the reunion to be on a British morning magazine show. BTW. I converted your link to an embedded video - I think more people are likely to watch it that way. Here's David Soul on 'Top Gear':
  3. Garrett allows a bit of excitement as the finish line comes into view several feet ahead. He glances behind to see his competition momentarily and as he looks ahead he hits a bump and cusses out loudly and regains control of his car. With the finish line coming he feels his passenger tire going flat. Frustrated, but not giving up, Garrett pushes the gas pedal farther down to force his car to go faster in hope of making it to the finish line ahead of everyone else.
  4. A cast Reunion between Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky), David Soul (Hutch) & Antonio Fargas (Huggy Bear)
  5. Thanks for the info! Sitcoms are typically not my kind of show, but I occasionally watched episodes of a few when growing up (such as Growing Pains & Facts of Life). In the U.S. for a full season, usually 22-24 episodes is standard for original network (CBS, NBC & ABC) shows, including sitcoms. However, sometimes if shows premiere later in a season they will have less episodes. DOH premiered about halfway through that TV season (January 1979), so Season 1 only had 13 episodes. Nowadays though, cable network & streaming shows usually have only around 10-13 episodes a season. Rick should have stayed on DOH.
  6. Roger wow! Me too. I didn't know Ol' Red was that old either. 😲
  7. Hoss wow! 😲
  8. Goodbye
  9. Jesse comes around the final corner and looks at the long home stretch to the finish line. Garrett is in the lead. Hobie is right on his back bumper. There is a gap between Hobie and third place Skipper. Emma Tisdale is neck and neck with Jesse, now quite a ways behind Skipper. This thing will be over soon folks. Unless something changes dramatically Skipper will finish 3rd. But 1st and 4th are anybody's guess.
  10. I've been up all night. Had a reaction to a shot. Can barely move my arm and couldn't get comfortable no matter how I laid. It felt like Mike Tyson was punching my shoulder all night.
  11. I had no idea that 'Ol Red was that old of a song. I'm not much of a Kenny fan but I'll admit that Islands in the Stream was (and still is) amazing. And I'm not the only one who thinks so. As I recall it was number 1 on country and rock charts for a long time. One of the most successful songs in history.
  12. Jesse Duke INVENTED a new type of fuel in High Octane.
  13. Boss J. W. HICKMAN

    Cletus

The show that Rick left for was "Amanda's". He played the chef, Earl Nash, at Amanda's by the Sea - a hotel run by Bea Arthur's character Amanda. The show was based on the iconic British sitcom "Fawlty Towers", but was cancelled after 13 episodes. The show also starred Fred McCarren, who was Neil Bishop in "The Big Heist". "Fawlty Towers" famously (at least on this side of The Pond) only ran for two seasons of six episodes each (six episodes is the standard season length for British sitcoms), and they were four years apart due to the stars/writers getting divorced in-between. Here's the first episode of "Amanda's". I assume by the picture quality that it hasn't been released on DVD or repeated lately. Rick appears at just over eight minutes in.

    Kenny Rogers

Kenny's version isn't the original, although it is the version I like best. Ol' Red was written by James "Bo" Bohon, Don Goodman, and Mark Sherrill, and first recorded by George Jones in 1990. Kenny's version came out in 1993 and Blake's version in 2001.
  16. I just found out something. A song I like. Blake Shelton sings Ol' Red, I just found and heard original. I never knew it was a Kenny Rogers song. 😲 Looks like the only change Blake made was "Ol' Red will have you treed by the morning sun" Kenny sings "Ol' Red will have you treed before the morning comes"
  17. Yesterday
  18. No, I was referring to Brian Coltrane’s original comment that Rick Hurst had left DOH to do another series as well, that also got canceled.
  19. I'm being unduly influenced by the spirits.......so please forgive the spelling!
  20. Do you mean Sonny Schroer 's other series?
  21. I'm about to indulge in my last 3 AB's for a LOOONG time......have to prep for my hernia surgery....hopefully I can get back on the wagon soon after....BEER wagon that is!!
  22. Oh not the DVD. I get it now. He means Adult Beverage he means. I saw him mention that before a few times.
  23. You obviously haven't read any of Hobie's previous posts.
  24. Agreed…they should have had more episodes with Enos & Cletus together, especially once Rick Hurst’s other series didn’t last. But, at least Cletus was back in the reunion movies.
