Hi folks! MaryAnne here with this week’s top Dukes headlines….
First Dukes filming news….this piece is a bit dated as the filming has now wrapped but Cinema Confidential visited the set of the Dukes and spoke with Bill Gerber, the producer of the movie. A worthwhile read Dukes fans!
Second…as mentioned above, filming as wrapped on the Dukes of Hazzard. Jessica Simpson has left the state (to some folks relief apparently….)
The jet engines of Jessica’s Lear (I’m assuming she has a Lear) were barely cooled down when Rollingstone.com reported she would be joining with Willie Nelson on a duet for the Dukes sountrack (HNet Editorial: THIS should be interesting). However, they have not selected a song yet.
Here’s one final story on the filming of the Dukes. Folks, this is what they mean by being in the right place at the right time. Patrick White landed a one line shot in the Dukes film. (Link to story no longer works.) (HNet Editorial: We hope his part isn’t cut! Read on to find out why.)
Meanwhile, Tom Wopat is singing his little heart out in the “Over the Rainbow” concert series showcasing the songs of Harold Arlen. As a listener of 30s/40s music, a lot of the titles I recognize. This stuff is a far cry from the “Where or Where Are You Tonight?” song from Hee Haw. =)
Don’t forget folks, we’re less than two weeks way from D-Day! February 25th, the Dukes of Hazzard returns to television on CMT! =) Make sure you check out the press release below if you haven’t already. Or maybe ya just wanna read it again. Khee!
