Paul R. Baxley 1923-2011

It was only a month ago that the HazzardNet community expressed condolences on the passing of Peggy Rea. It is with sadness again that we offer condolences to the friends and family of Paul R. Baxley, the incredible stunt coordinator and stuntman who helped to give the General Lee wings to fly. Paul passed away March 4th at the age of 88. His stunt career spanned several decades and numerous films and television shows.

RIP Paul

In Memoriam

The HazzardNet community wishes to express its condolences to friends and family of Peggy Rea, who played Lulu Hogg on the Dukes of Hazzard. Peggy passed away February 5th. She was 89. Peggy started her acting career back in the 50’s and is best remembered for her role on the Dukes of Hazzard and also on the Waltons.

She will be greatly missed.

Also, with the recent passing of Peggy, HNet Staff was alerted that actress Neva Patterson, who played the memorable character Swamp Molly in the episode of the same name, passed away December 14th, 2010. She was 90. Neva had many memorable roles throughout her lengthy career, perhaps best remembered as Cary Grant’s fiance in “An Affair to Remember.”

Another great performer who will be greatly missed.

RIP Peggy and Neva.

Happy New Year!

As we race towards 2011,  we can’t help but glance in the mirrors once last time as 2010 falls behind us.

And count the fillings in our teeth.  Was that a rough road, or what?  2010 was a bumpy enough ride to shake everything loose.

Fortunately for Dukes of Hazzard fans, 2010 had its share of good news.

CMT brought the Dukes of Hazzard back on the air.   Warner Bros released “The Dukes” cartoon on DVD.

And here at HazzardNet, we managed to break through a roadblock,  jump the creek, and land on all four wheels.   We collected a few dents and dings along the way, but we’re happy to see Route 2011 ahead.   We’re glad to have you with us for the ride.

Look for our Year End Yap & Wrap Newsletter in the next day or two.  Meantime,  celebrate New Year’s Eve safely, and Happy New Year from all of us at HazzardNet!

Merry Christmas!

On this Christmas Eve,  we send our good wishes to all our friends, neighbors and cousins.  May the warmth and cheer of this special season be with you and your family.    Thank you for being a part of our community.

Merry Christmas, and God bless!

Sincerely, the HazzardNet Staff,

Meadowmufn, MaryAnne and Brian
