Country Singer's Name in Daisy's Song

Hi All,

I bought seasons 1 and 2 on DVD.

While watching Season 1 and Daisy's Song, Daisy is talking to the sleazy record executive about how her voice sounds like two country singers. The second singer's name that is spoken comes out as "Loretta Lynn", but the characters lips when speaking don't seem to indicate the words "Loretta Lynn".

Does someone know what happened? Did the Dukes have to change the name as the original person did not want their name mentiioned?

Thanks,

Hi,

Thanks for the responses. I thought it might be Dolly Parton as well, since I believe in the 1st episode they talk about Daisy idolizing/wanting to be Dolly Parton.

I thought they mention Dolly's name in other episodes, but perhaps they cracked down on it after the first show.

Thanks~!

I agree with you about whomever it was/is flipping out over it.

I like how before stars hit it big, they are humble. Then once some of them cash in they turn into pampered and entitled people who have no use for certain things. More or less I made my millions now leave me the heck alone.

But say It was Dolly and say she was on the cusp of hitting it big, wouldn't she have wanted the attention or mention of her name on a TV show to help draw interest/intrigue?? Just goes to how that $$ does change certain people.

Maybe the artist (Dolly or whoever the name was suppose to be) liked the idea but her manager, record label etc didn't. Or maybe the singer never got the message about such an offer, and it was decided by who ever recieved the communication.

With it being a brand new show where anything was possible, someone in charge might not wanted to have taken a chance to be associated with a product that wasn't going to be around long.
