Waylon's Wisdom in Washington

It's no secret around here that Waylon Jennings was a great philosopher. In fact, we even have a thread dedicated to his "Waylonisms".

But now it seems that the politicians in Washington D.C. are starting to notice the old balladeers brilliance. In an editorial in USA Today last week (Feb-5-10) Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey wrote a piece about the Tea Party Movement titled "Take America Back". The following sentence is a direct quote from that excellent viewpoint.

"As the great moral philosopher Waylon Jennings once said, "There ain't no right way to do the wrong thing." "

My jaw dropped when I read that and I got a big smile on my face....Waylon Jennings influencing Washington politics. Ya gotta love it.

Now, I won't get into the politics of the editorial. Thankfully we have moderators smart enough to not let the greatest website on the internet get ruined by poiltics. If anyone would be interested in talking about it, send me a PM for my opinion.

One thing we can agree on, if the folks who are running this country start to be influenced by Dukes of Hazzard related subjects, we sure have a bright future.
