Hazzard Heartbreak

Recommended Posts

Later that night though, it wasn't getting any better for Lori. Her worry for JJ and that young fellow grew with each toss she made in the made. Deciding enough was enough, Lori slowly drug herself up out of her light slumber, quietly walking downstairs to sit on the front porch, she didn't even know if they made it home that night alright or not!

~~

In which, they didn't, because they hadn't even left the pond yet. The place that Matt had picked out especially for the two to spend a quiet evening together, he just sorta let the time slip away as he still made no effort to put the car in drive and take her home. The poor boy had no clue had much trouble he was in as it was.

Something wasn't right Jesse could feel in his big toe. He knew wasn't Luke the hospital would have called if something happen. So had to be one of the others. Jesse got up out of bed and checked on the others. Quietly he open the door to the Bo's room and saw Bo asleep. Next he went down the hall towards the girls' room. Quietly he open door looked in he saw Daisy asleep on her bed, but JJ wasn't there. Quietly he shut the door and went towards the bathroom thinking that she was there, but the door was open. Now Jesse was starting to get worried it wasn't like JJ to stay out all night.

Jesse looked at the wall clock for what felt like the millionth time that night.

"Where is that girl? Don't she know it's past 3am." mumble Jesse to hisself.

Growling lowly to herself, Lori went back in to the house. Climbing the stairs to her room, Lori vowed that if she found the two lovers she'd put an end to their romance real quick. Changing into her jeans and a comfortable t shirt with her levi jacket pulled on, Lori went back down stairs hastily, almost running outside to Midnight Rider. Climbing through the window, Lori started the powerful motor up, putting it into reverse, going out in search.

Lori though, was already hot on their tail. Knowing exactly where all young lovers went to after a date, as she use to be one of those youths, She quietly shut off the motor, stopping enough feet away not to be seen. The black coat of paint that Midnight Rider was helped her even more. Sitting up a little in her seat, Lori eyed the other vehicle watching it for any sudden movements.

Moving a bit closer to her, Matt smiled. Though, he caused the car to move a little, it being noticeable to Lori.

One to jump to conclusions, when Lori saw the car move, she immediatley thought the worst and climbed out of Midnight Rider. Pulling out her bow and arrow set she notched an arrow up and crept up to the car. Knocking on the window, Lori drew the arrow and held it on Matt.

When Matt rolled the window down he came face to face with the sharp tip of an arrow's head an enragingly peeved off woman on the other end of it.

Lori kept the bow and arrow pointed at Matt in a deathly matter, she meant business.

"JJ...it is 3 in the morning and you're still out with a boy...you know that goes against Uncle Jesse's rules, now whether or not you two did anything is questionable..but you still broke Jesse's rules...I suggest you go get in the car and wait while me and lover boy here have a talk..."

Well, Lori couldn't really see how she opened the door, considering Midnight Rider's doors were welded shut as well. Anyways, Lori un-notched the arrow she held on Matt, growling lowly from her throat.

"Boy you best wise up and start usin' ya danged head.."

Stalking away, Lori headed back to Midnight Rider. Putting her arrow and bow set in the back she climbed in through the driver's side, starting the car up.

Lori got to her feet as soon as JJ caught her. She was tired, sleepy, and about as restless as a foaling mare.

"Thanks...she ain't lying Uncle Jesse...I can sense it."

Lori had a way with sensing other people's feelings, she could sense if there was danger near or if someone was lying or telling the truth. Being born and raised in an indian tribe really paid off in the long run she always thought. So, using her, the Dukes or Davenports had an easy time with seeing which child was lying or telling the truth about their "late night study sessions".
