The thing that puzzles me regarding the flag and this being a prequel to the big screen movie, if you watch the access hollywood video about the current movie you will see the General Lee with no flag on top but with the bright orange paint job and the same 01 font style on the door we are all used to from the series and the big screen movie after Cooter fixed up the General.

Don't know if ya'll know but the Dukes of Hazzard is now playing on the Family Channel at midnight eastern time.

That's an interesting theory that WB is trying this to gauge audience interest in determining whether or not to have the real duke boys in a second big screen movie. It will be interesting to see if there was a spike in the ratings of Smallville for this particular episode. It might be a good show, but i know that this was the one and only episode i ever watched. I don't think there is any doubt that if they get Schneider and Wopat into a second movie it will make big bucks.

Any chance these scenes and extra camera angles would be included in the DVD release? They all look like good scenes.

I thought the idea ya'll had of making a custom soundtrak was a good one. I started downloading my own off of itunes to include the songs mentioned above that were in the movie but not on the official soundtrak. However I could not find any original ac/dc songs, are they there and I just can't find them, is anyone else having the same problem?

I thought the movie was pretty cool. Seann played a good Bo Duke. Johnny was o.k., Burt was good, and the guy who played Cooter. Just sitting back and watching the General with the Rock 'n' Roll blasting in the background was awesome!

I'm glad you posted this, someone told me about it but they didn't see the date it was going to play and i've been searching cmt's website but didn't find anything. Should be pretty interesting. I hope Wopat shows up for the original cast show.

I fully expect that the success of this movie at the box office will warrant a sequel. I began thinking about a story line, I saw it mentioned that it would be cool to see the original Bo and Luke appear in the movie as villains, which I thought would be cool, but to expand upon this idea, somehow these two villains kidnap the General and low and behold we have the original Bo and Luke back in the General on the big screen. (They would have to make at least one jump of course) trying to escape from Seann and Johnny. Boy I would sure pay to see that! What ya'll think?

This is going to be a fun movie! But I have two questions. 1. Where's Roscoe? 2. It sounds to me like that was Waylon's version of the theme song, it didn't sound like Willie to me.

I was wondering if anybody else noticed, and I could be wrong, but the show the Gilmore Girls that plays on the WB and Family channel looks like it is filmed on the same set as the DOH. Maybe you all know this already but looking at the town square, the gazebo in the middle, the buildings, I'm almost 100% positive that is Hazzard County. Has anyone else noticed this?

It looked pretty bad. A dead give away were the rims. The rims on the model cars looked nothing like the real rims. Also these jump scenes had the general jumping 15 feet over houses which you could just tell was a stretch.

I suppose if Coy and Vance were the original Dukes I would feel differently about them, the show would have probably lasted longer were it not for the drop in ratings from this season, so drastic it coud not recover fully from.

I'm looking forward to seasons 3 and 4 on dvd, I could care less about season 5 though.
