  1. I didn't like the students I went to school with (that was the only thing I didn't like about school). The subjects were okay, I did graduate high school with honors. If I could turn back time, I would have went to a private school with fewer students (it was a new school established a few years ago in the big city). I enjoyed my college years a lot better. I live in Canada, so what I refer to as college is actually a technical college. What people in the U.S. refer to as college is actually university in Canada. Most high schools where I live (Eastern Canada) have only grades 10-12 attending. Junior highs have grades 7-9. The school I went to had grades 7-12 attending. So, BoDukeGirl, don't give up. I'm now self-employed, it was a dream that I had for years and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm the only person working in my business and I have no plans to have anyone working for me (I can't trust anyone anymore).
  2. Actually, that particular cast photo was taken in season 3, when Sonny was doing 'Enos', the series, and Rick was playing 'Cletus'. There's no way Sonny was ever in that cast photo. Jessi Duke, I like that picture of Tom that you have for an avatar. Can't wait for December 5! 8)
  3. Seeing since season 7 had only 17 episodes, maybe Warner Bros. is planning to release both reunion movies and other extras to make up a four disc set. The episodes alone make up three double-sided discs, with three episodes on each disc. We won't know anything until Warner Bros. releases any information to the TVSHOWSONDVD site.
  4. Just picked up my copy of season six today! Haven't watched it yet, but I might watch the extras first.
  5. At least Tom and no one else was hurt or injured. There have been too many drunk-driving accidents killing innocent people where I live. The SADD (students against drinking and driving) clubs in the high-schools in my area have been staging mock accidents to show students that it could happen to you; whether you were driving under the influence; whether your driver was under the influence; or whether the driver of the other vehicle was under the influence. Some of these kids felt that these mock accidents were playing with their emotions while others still think it can't happen to them. I think the SADD clubs are doing the right think, hats off to them.
  6. Speaking of Simon & Simon, rumor has it that the first season may be released in September on DVD. Universal hasn't made the official announcement yet. It may be out the same day as season 5 of Magnum P.I. and season 5 (the final one) of A-Team.
  7. Only two left for the May 24 finale - Taylor and Katherine. I personally think Taylor is a show-off and Katherine has a phony smile.

    Season Six

Julie, I found this statement on Amazon's site on what the extras are: Back Where We Started: The Real Hazzard County: tour the original Hazzard County in Georgia with Ben "Cooter" Jones and Sonny "Enos" Shroyer General Lee: The Legendary Charger: the history and design of the awesome automobile Hope this helps.
  9. Here's a couple of shows coming to DVD in the next coming months that I want to add to my collection: I Dream of Jeannie (season 1, March 14/06) The Facts of Life (seasons 1 & 2, May 9/06) There's some other shows that I want to collect sometime, but not right now: The Brady Bunch, The Jeffersons, All in the Family, Gimme a Break, Soap, The Partridge Family, The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
  10. I'm pretty sure he did. I remember watching him on Cybill and he had a little boy with his second ex-wife that was named Luke.
  11. They even have the cover art posted and it seems that they're going back to double-sided discs:

If Target or Best Buy doesn't have them on the shelves, you probably can get either store to order it in for you to pick up (it beats paying shipping and handling charges that Amazon offers). I got all of my MASH DVD's at Wal-Mart (you can try there too). I have seasons 8 & 9 added to my collection. Seasons 10 & 11 (the final two seasons) are due in June and December 2006 respectively.
  13. You're in luck, 'Murder, She Wrote' - the complete first and second seasons are available now. The third season comes out March 14. The first season of 'Hill Street Blues' comes out January 31. Please register (free of charge) and vote for your favorite shows you want on DVD at: http://tvshowsondvd.com/ Here's some other mystery/action/dramas currently out on DVD: Knight Rider - seasons 1 & 2 (season 3 on January 31) Magnum P.I. - seasons 1 & 2 (season 3 on January 31) A-Team - seasons 1 & 2 (season 3 on January 31) Quantum Leap - seasons 1-3 Hunter - seasons 1 & 2 (season 3 on January 3) Miami Vice - seasons 1 & 2 Columbo - seasons 1-3 McCloud - season 1 McMillan & Wife - season 1 Starsky & Hutch - seasons 1-3 Charlie's Angels - seasons 1 & 2 (season 3 on April 25) Quincy - seasons 1 & 2 Dallas - seasons 1-3 (season 4 on January 24) T.J Hooker - season 1 Hart to Hart - season 1
  14. I saw 'Walk the Line' about a month ago with my parents. It's popular in my hometown theatre, just about every showing was sold out. I recommend seeing this movie if you're a Johnny Cash fan (like myself and my parents). This would be a good movie to add to my DVD collection when it comes out. I also like 'Coal Miner's Daugher' with Sissy Spacek (haven't got the DVD yet).
  15. I take back about what I said about the Coy & Vance episodes, they weren't as bad as I thought. I actually enjoyed them, but no one can replace Bo & Luke. Vance kept calling Daisy and the other girls 'Sugar'.
  16. You all may want to check out: http://tvshowsondvd.com/ Here's an update on what you all have requested on DVD so far: MacGyver - seasons 1-4 are available Hardcastle & McCormick - season 1 is being released in Canada only in February, 2006 (you can import it to the U.S.) Rockford Files - season 1 is available Knight Rider - seasons 1 & 2 are available (season 3 is due January 31, 2006) King of the Hill - seasons 1-5 are available Lost - season 1 is available O.C. - seasons 1 & 2 are available Saved by the Bell - the complete series. the complete College Years, and the complete New Class are all available
  17. Anyone got their season five sets yet! I got mine, the funny thing was that the Wal-Mart stores in my area had them out a week early (I think there was confusion because the movie came out last week and the 5th season was due the week after). Anyway, I just finished watching it last night. Now all we need is some news for the final two seasons.
  18. It's from the season 2 episode 'The Dukes Meet Cale Yarborough'.
  19. Hey Bryan! The patrol cars in High Octane were 1973 Plymouth Furys. Check out this site under Vehicles for a listing of all cars used in seasons 1-3. http://www.tilleysdukes.com/index.html
  20. I'm suprised no one has mentioned these two mistakes in 'Jude Emery'. In one scene, Luke calls Daisy 'Annie' by mistake. In another scene, we hear Daisy speaking to Jude, but her lips aren't moving.
  21. I just posted the extras in my above post, but here they are again for your information: Hazzard County Stunt Team: Reunited And In Your Face! - The original stunt team pays homeage to Paul Baxley. Cooter's Place: Keeping The Dream Alive - Ben Jones hosts a personal tour of Cooter's Place.
  22. Music City Motorplex Friday, November 11, 2005 Nashville’s Music City Motorplex to host DUKESFEST 2006 by David Underwood NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- “Music City USA†will host the 2006 DukesFest on Saturday, June 3rd and Sunday, June 4th at the historic Music City Motorplex located at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds in Nashville, TN. Ben "Cooter" Jones held his fifth annual DukesFest at the Bristol Motor Speedway in 2005 attracting well over 35,000 fans. Jones, who played Cooter the mechanic on the 1979-85 TV series, held the first three DukesFest events in Sperryville, Virginia and then moved the event to the Bristol Motor Speedway for two years. The Music City Motorplex becomes its third venue. Jones describes DukesFest as "two days of world-class music, two days of stunt shows, two days of car shows and two days of personal appearances and stuff for the kids." "Nashville is a natural place for it. You got country music and cars, and, of course, Nashville is filled with beautiful girls who wear shorts," said Jones. "It's a legendary track. Darrell Waltrip ran out there and Coo Coo Marlin and Sterling Marlin and Marty Robbins. What better place to have DukesFest? The venue works so well for what we do," said Jones. He expects the entire living cast of the TV show to attend the event. "Quite likely, we will have the full cast of everybody who is living. Everybody I've talked to is planning to come. That might change, but for now . . . Tom Wopat, John Schneider, Catherine Bach, James Best, Sonny Shroyer, Rick Hurst, myself, the stunt guys and about 100 General Lees will be there," said Jones. "CMT is in Nashville and our store (Cooter's Place) is there. We just thought it a great location and all those interstates that criss-cross smack dab in the middle of "Hazzard Country." The CMT folks (CMT airs the show in reruns) are delighted by this and it will also be sort of a kick off to the Fan Fair week." The CMA Music Festival 2006, know in the past as Fan Fair, is scheduled for June 8 -11 in Nashville. More information about the sixth annual DukesFest will be released soon. Check www.CootersPlace.com and www.MusicCityMotorplex.com for updates.
  23. I finally saw Tom's Smallville episode. I couldn't keep my eyes off him, he still looked sexy at 54 and still is sexy in plaid shirts. I think the Dodger Charger he was driving looked to be a 1968 model.
  24. My favorites: Bo, Luke & Daisy - Just Good Ol' Friends; Dukefest; Building the Legend; and the BBQ. The commentary between the Duke cousins was good too!
