  1. HA Ya know, some sheep jokes will offend some people. Those are the people I love to offend with sheep jokes though... Speaking of moderators...Mary Anne, do you have any good sheep jokes? http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/Scott225/sheepwav.gif
  2. Did you hear they found a new use for sheep in (whatever state)? Wool. Where do you get virgin wool?? From ugly sheep Oh boy, I could go on... And by the way, Jessica was not blocking the view of the General Lee. Just her NOSE was.
  3. Sheep jokes, huh? Boy I got a few of them. Jokes...not sheep. Where ya from again Bananamedia? There's always goats. Just don't pick the ugly ones...someone's always watching!
  4. yaaaaawn.... All I gotta say is to the nay-sayers is "DON'T GO SEE THE MOVIE." We all understand that it's not the way it was. I'm sure if we could all go back in time, snatch up the original actors and afford to pay them what big-time actors would call for, then (and maybe even only then) will some people be happy. But again, I'm sure one small thing would not be the same...and boom...more complaining. I'm in it for entertainment. Since November I've been in it for the entertainment. A few autographs and a bunch of pictures didn't hurt either...but it was fun. If you wanna complain, then ask why Dean Jones and Buddy Hackett ain't in the new "Herbie" movie. How about the new "Honeymooners"? Weren't they white at one time? I say, SO. It's entertainment and I will go see them both. I forgot about the "Longest Yard". Not too many people complaining about that one. Hmmmm. Richard Kiel (Jaws from 007) wasn't in it. Still made millions and lots of entertainment. War of the Worlds? Bewitched? Batman, 007, Superman? Different actors? HORRORS! The chemistry will still be there, one way or another. You may have to squint real hard, but you'll still enjoy it. In the movie industry, everything revolves around money. If WB could have afforded Danny Devito to play Boss Hogg, then it woulda happened that way. Of course he may have been TOO short for some people. Then here we go again. I'm shutting up now. I apologize for the ramblings. The only thing else I've got to say is, my two kids are driving me nuts about the movie's starting date. They will be there on opening day. Hmmm, something must be right with the new cast.
  5. I'll tell ya...living here in the Deep South, it's still hard to fly the flag. Some in this forum know what I do for a living so I must remain PC at all times (as difficult as it may be sometimes). I had to tell a guy that it was of his best interest to remove and stow his 3x5 flag flying in the back of his truck. It's ok just about everywhere you go but the area we were in would just invite hatred towards his beloved truck. (It would get torched!) But look at what happened to some firefighters up North. Some firefighters actually got offended by flying the AMERICAN FLAG on their fire truck!!!! If some people get offended by that...well...just look at the next image. I could go on and on but I get a little flustered with this topic. So I'm shuttin' up. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/Scott225/tailgating.jpg Darrell, props to ya, brother! It must be difficult explaining that tattoo to New Yorkers without them having negative connotations.
  6. This was about the only one I found. I have a few personal ones but they don't really capture the aura of Roscoe. His sideburns are a little beyond Elvis. But I was told he needed a new character trait to be remembered by the younger generation. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/Scott225/doh-2.jpg
  7. Brad, you still Da Man.
  8. Where ya from xstitchgirl? Wasn't it fun out there? Too many people though.
  9. Expect some Kid Rock, too. Maybe... if he had any part of this movie... I'm not sure.... I wouldn't know...
  10. Around here I've been alleged to be a possible "insider" (thanks Mary Anne). I have seen a lot going on with this movie. I, as everybody else, can only hope it'll be a good movie. I do know the action scenes will be the best I've ever seen. My only complaint is finding out the secrets of Hollywood and being there during filming. It took literally ALL day to get the BIG jump through downtown Clinton. And it was cold. In the movie you'll only see about 15 seconds of it. It's cool don't get me wrong, but I think I'm gonna be analyzing the movie as I watch it on the big screen. Darn. I might have to see it more than once!
  11. All I gotta say is...some people have way too much time on their hands. A lot of cool info in this thread, but, wow! My brain exploded on the third or fourth reply!
  12. None of the radios in any of the cars worked. Similar to the horn. None of the cars had one. The music and the horns were added during post-production. On a side-note...only one G.L. had a horn prior to production. It was quickly removed because all of us were alleged to have honked it more times that many. It apparently got old to several crew members so it was removed and placed "elsewhere". It wound up on the GoCar. Where it probably still is. Hmmf
  13. The guys over here at Mopar Collector's Guide is doing a three-part story on the new movie. The cars will be talked about in great detail with some awesome shots. Some secrets may be revealed, but I didn't hear that. Their magazine is national so look for it on the shelves real soon. The third part is scheduled to come out after the movie release.
  14. T-Man, I was introduced to Photobucket.com a while back. It's easy to set up an account and run from there. It's really come in handy in this forum since I seem to be too illiterate to be able to post an image within this text box. (Thanks again, Brad) There are other sites to go to other than Photobucket but I was snagged by its simplicity. By the way, keep up the digital work. I got my degree in Graphic Design but don't really use it too much anymore in my job description here. I'm still paying for it, dangit, but I ain't using it, 'cept for in here...
  15. Brian, I gotta link to the new poster (that someone made...). This was my projection, like someone said before: it'll be ALL Daisy. Maybe one day the car will be more important to our kids than a pair of shorts. Granted they are very nice shorts...I have to be nice...the mrs is right behind me! http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/Scott225/DOHposter.jpg
  16. I do believe big brother is watching us...not so much the cast but the filmmakers. Warner Brothers has people everywhere.
  17. That slide was done by Kevin Scott. Master stunt driver (look him up, I bet you've seen his work before).
  18. Not that I've seen the movie or anything like that (...), but I think SWS did a very good job in the flick. Both Duke boys' accents seem to be authentic. Daisy's? Well, let's just say she's been up north somewhere too long. I don't see her in too many more Southern-style movies. Willie is the coolest...played the part very well. It's still Uncle Jesse, but with a newer approach. (don't worry, he did do it justice). Too many cast members for me to say here, but, you'll all have a good time.
  19. Capt. Redneck...you are not wrong in your assumption. I met him at the wrap party before I even knew he was in Con Air. Of course I watched Con Air shortly after that night and almost didn't even recognize him. He musta got ahold of some of our Cajun cookin' down here. That stuff has a tendancy to balloon one's middle section (ask my ex-wife...shhhhh) But a super guy! He's good people. Besides the fact that he was hitting on my wife, we were all hanging together. Actually you wouldn't have even noticed he was a big Hollywood type. He mingled with the best of us rednecks down here. (not much of a dancer though) I think you'll like him as Roscoe. He's got the part down, but he does add a little sense to him. Roscoe's not the COMPLETE idiot he was anymore. As far as me being the insider, naaaahhhh. BUT, here's a little inside info. And it's gonna make a few people angry in California. Check out the magazine "Mopar Collector's Guide" for a 3-part series of the DOH movie. The mag is printed here and the staff was incredibly helpful in procuring muscle cars for the movie. The DOH people don't want any of this info leaked out prior to the movie opening but I guess some people are impatient. Some cool shots will be printed (again...shhhhh) http://www.moparcollectorsguide.com/ I'm shuttin' up now, y'all be good.
  20. For dear old Roscoe... (MC Gainey bumbleing in the background) http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/Scott225/doh-2.jpg (back when ALL the cars were "new") http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/Scott225/18wheeler5.jpg (got this one hangin' on the wall) http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/Scott225/roscoscar.jpg
  21. .........."... Oh and those jump scenes are CLEARLY CGI, its just progressed to the point where most people can't tell... The jumps are similar to the climax one in the remake of Gone in 60 Seconds... You really can't blame them for the CGI, its not like there are thousands of Chargers lying around anymore... Oh and anyone else notice how the OLD crown vics are the ones used in stunts, love the producers!".......... Okay, I had to reply! I gotta stick up for my boys. The ONLY CGI done as far as stunts go is small items to remove. Dummies were placed inside the cars during jumps to show driver/passenger placement but were later removed via computer and digital actors were put in. You won't be able to tell, even if you watch it over and over again. As far as the interstate jump being CGI...I won't argue it any but I will say wait till the DVD comes out. It's ALL real. It'll drop your jaw. And as far as old Crown Vics being the only sacrificial cars...trust me, many new models were trashed. One in particular had a huge hydraulic ram mounted lengthways inside the car to shoot it up into the air. I won't say what scene but look for a bow and arrow.
  22. All I gotta say is, get over it. Anybody will knock anything to shreds, that's their right. On this particular site, we are pretty much all for the movie and ready for it to hit the big screen. It hurts my ears listening to people complain about the small stuff, but on this site there should be no complaining. I strongly believe even the people that talked smack will eventually see the movie one way or the other. They'll rent it and watch it while they're alone in a dark living room and go, "COOL". My only complaint is I watched the filming every weekend and helped with many aspects. To know how the stunts were done and how long it took for each stunt to be done and...well, you know...I'm afraid I'll be analyzing the movie at every frame instead of enjoying the meat of it. I guess I'll just break down and get the DVD so I can see it over and over. By the way, the DVD is going to be the best! For all the extras I mean. I think a majority of the money to be made on this movie will come from the original DOH generation. From the link I attached, is where the rest will come from. My 11 year old just watched the trailer again for, like, the 50th time. He's loving it and that fuels me even more to want to go see it! I foresee this car/movie/cast will generate millions in toy sales alone. We'll see. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/Scott225/goodoleboy1.jpg Oh, and Traveler? You da man.
  23. A balladeer? Did I say balladeer?! Uh oh... Okay, there might be one. shhhhhh
  24. I'm just so happy. Just another step closer. The movie buzz over here faded a little from waiting so long, but now....I have a feeling that all the nay-sayers who wanted to "boycott" this film will eventually see it. Curiosity will overcome them and they will realize how silly their idea sounded. Anyway, I'm still being impatient on the movie release!! Believe it or not, this link shows the interstate jump car. It was privately owned, sold to WB's and bought back (never for street use---papers shredded). This photo was taken in preparation for the BIG jump through the town square (in the trailer). This was the second sling-car used and worked very well on the interstate...after a couple of mishaps. This was a really nice mishap. The video of that will be released in August also. As per the Public Relations Gestapo. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y10/Scott225/flipped11.jpg Note the crumpled up GL in the background? That's the first GL used in the film. The opening sequence of the movie, that GL is frozen in mid air as the balladeer speaks. Of course after it continues on its flight, it lands perfectly/without a scratch/keeps on driving. This photo showed what REALLY happened to it when it landed. Again, a beautiful mishap. (It was a rustbucket anyway)
