  1. I saw the movie last night, and all I can say is YEEEEEEHAAAAAA!!!!!!! I thought this movie did a great job of capturing the spirit of the original. I know it was not the same, if it had been the same everyone would've complained thatg they were making fun of the classic. The jumps were awesome. The cast had good chemistry. I will definately own this when it comes out on DVD.
  2. I don't know about Bingo. I have never been Badin Road. I do know that they have new owners that bought it a couple of years ago. I have been to the other drive in that they own and never heard any bingo there. I will most likely find out Saturday night.

  4. Darrell, I agree with you completely, everyone should develop their own opinion AFTER seeing the movie. From what I read on this forum, John Schneider already had a plate of crow and complimented the new cast on a great job capturing the spirit of the show. I won't be able to see the movie tomorrow because I will be working, but I intend to be there Saturday night. It is being shown at the Badin Road Drive-In as well as the new theater in town, so I just have to decide whether I want to see it sitting in a cramped theater seat or a nice, plush, air-conditioned Lincoln seat. 8. I think I figured it out. Sorry about the size of the pics. I tried to reduce them with no luck. Can anyone help me there? Some Pics of the General: Rosco's Car I don't know what this Maxima is supposed to be, but it is on the trailer between the others and wearing Finchburg County on the door, so someone please enlighten me.

  12. I just saw those exact cars last Wednesday at a local body shop. They were both on a car hauler parked at the shop. The General was banged up in the front from the landing. I knew it was a jump car but did not know what jump until seeing the above picture. I will go back by there tommorow to see if they are still there and to get some pics if they are. I did not look at the roof because it was on the hauler, but I did notice that the General's name is still on it. I will look for the flag too.

  18. I just picked up the latest issue of Hot Rod because my 2 1/2 yr old son pointed out the General Lee on the cover. It has an article about the cars used in the movie.

  20. I know this is the wrong place to post this, but this is the most read forum on this board, so here goes. I just spoke with the guy that helps organize our local classic car Cruise-In and he told me that Deputy Enos Strate will be appearing at the next Cruise-In which is the 4th Friday of July, that is July 22, 2005. He also said that he is looking for anyone with a General Lee who could bring it. If you have a General or any cars from the show, please pm me or email me @ bubbamedic@ctc.net for further info about accomodations and directions. We are about 45 east of Charlotte, NC in the town Of Oakboro, NC. That weekend is also our Mayberry Days celebration with appearances by the Darlin's.
