  1. Quote MaryAnne post #323 (Friends and neighbors, I think we can call this one a wrap. Ya think? )

(Not speaking for any one else, yeah! I've done some really bad writing through the years. This round robin and another with Kristy are my favorite. Thank you, everyone!)

  2. But if ya did that, the rest of us would be left in the dark on these matters.

The car "Traveler" in the movie "Moonrunners" was a stock car owned by the Hagg cousins. It was a 1955 Chevy. It was kept to the racetrack and wasn't used in any of their highway antics.

There's a rough copy of Moonrunners on YouTube, for any of ya'll curious. You can find part one here:

    Moonrunners Part 1

Thank you for the movie link!

  3. For all of those who have been around here a while and maybe some new folks that can shed light on this dilema... Why is it, I feel old? Does anyone look in the mirror and go, Gaaaahhhh! in the morning and say, 'Where did the time go?'.

I talk to people younger than me all the time and they tell me they love the Dukes but can't tell me a thing about the show. Yes the Dukes of Hazzard is Iconic we all know and are greatful, but as a fan of the orginial, do you ever get that longing, mid-life crisis feeling of 'I wish I could see John and Tom as Bo and Luke again!'. I guess I came up with a solution answer to my own question, 'Pop in a DVD'. But then when it's over you have that Napoleon Dynamite voice, saying, 'Gosh! I am so old..."

Just a reflection here in the perverbial pond of life... Tossing a pebble in to see the ripples it may create or will it sink into the bottom of the pond without hardly a sound?

Maybe I'm having "Cabin Writer's Fever"....

    Who knows...

Hooo.... hooo! Rosco P. Coltrane... That's Who!

*laughs* I crack myself up... into tiny peices. Ooo one fell on the floor. Opps, made a mess.

I guess is would depend on a person's life experiences and what they're experiencing currently?

  4. Sept 12th changed other relatives & my lives forever.

Found out I'm going to be a grandma at age 38 in May 2012. An hour later I got a call that FIL was on life support. He passed away 4 days later, Sept 16th

Life hasn't been the same since, I miss and love all you here at Hnet!

  5. Link - New England Dukes Website

Link - Paul Harrington's tribute to Glenn

I met Glenn, his mom, brother Edmund at 05 Dukesfest through another DOH friend. Saw them and Edmund's kids at 06 Dukesfest. Amazing family to spend time with, I wish everyone could have meet them all!

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends as they deal with the loss of their loved one. RIP Glenn.

    Typo - it was Dukesfest 06 & 07.

  6. Condolences to Christopher's family, friends, fans.

Calderone, its really nice to see a Coy and Vance site, thank you!

Very sad news. Chris and his family are in my thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.

Wish they would say what had happened and not leave us hanging like this wondering what had happened to him. Guess it shouldn't matter. It is sad anyway it happened. Must be very shocking and upset to his family and friends. :(

Obituary - does not list a cause of death.

What I read on his FB memorial page -

    Link -

I think he died in his sleep of natural causes?

This interview is from or to promote The Hollywood Show Feb 2011. Haven't listened to it yet. Not exactly sure what is said.

Thank you Mufn, MaryAnne & Brian for sharing Bryon's message on the main page.

  7. Just like when news of Peggy Rea's death broke earlier this year, there only seems to be one source for this story at the moment. Wikipedia and IMDb don't have anything about it yet. Sadly, the Peggy Rea story proved to be true, and I suspect this will too. This has been a terrible year for losing cast members. It's almost worse that the story breaks on the day that Jimmie is celebrating his 85th birthday.

Condolences to Christopher's family and friends.

Wikipedia and IMDB can be edited by anyone, please do not consider those as valued news sources. They can be helpful sometimes. Link - John's unofficial fan club Facebook page, Hazzardnet member John's No 1 Fan posted John's response to the passing of Chris Mayer.

Chris battled with his "demons", he started to do public appearances again and was suppose to get married in the near future.

RIP Chris, thank you for being a part of the Dukes Of Hazzard community.

  8. Ray Kohn's Dukes of Hazzard Stunt Show will be in Valparasio Indiana soon. I'm not sure of the date but I think it's Wednesday or Thursday this week.

For more information you can google Valparisio Indiana Fair or Ray's site Northeast Ohio Dukes.

If anybody gets a chance to go, let us know about your experience.

If you live near Valparisio, this show is a "must see." If you don't live near Valperisio, this unique show is still well worth the drive. It is gauranteed to entertain you even if you're not a Dukes fan.

(although I can't for the life of me figure out why someone wouln't be a Dukes fan)

So glad to know that royalties are going to the DOH cast & crew.

  9. September 16, 1927 - June 23, 2011

Years before Sorrell Booke starred in Dukes Of Hazzard. He was on 2 episodes of Columbo. "Swan Song" in 1974 with Johnny Cash. And "The Bye - Bye Sky Hi I.Q. Murder Case" in 1977 that DOH guest star Carlene Watkins was also in.

Rest In Peace Mr. Falk aka Lt / Detective Columbo

  10. Okay, the award for Smarmy Answers goes to MaryAnne. I shouldn't be surprised. :D

Chet, you asked what my score was? Dude, I wrote the quiz, that should speak for itself.

For the rest of ya'll - the higher the score, the better ya did! Thanks for participatin'.

Coming soon - the HazzardNet Moderator Qualification Exam!

    Brian

Link- is the HazzardNet Moderator Aptitude Test, the aforementioned exam?
