GI marathon all weekend on Sundance. Started at 8 am today. They're almost done running the 36 Season 1 (1964-1965) b/w episodes. Onto the color episodes 37-98 Season 2 (1965-1966) and Season 3(1966-1967) pretty soon.

I just had a thought for this HazzardNet Skipper forum. I could start posting in here the season number and episode name I am doing each day. No photos just text. You know my Flickr is done. Have to pay to upgrade it for more uploads. Cannot pay.

I have showed a friend shots of Alan Hale's Skipper hat buttons when they are gold n he still insists "No. Only black." I even told him this too.
I got it straight from a former Lancaster former employee Patty. "We used mixed buttons for Hale's hats for that show. We used black, gold, brass and bronze too. Not always black."
Right from the horse's mouth and he still don't believe it.

Skipper:"Oh that Gilligan! He never does anything right!" Mary Ann:"What's he done now?" Skipper:"Look at the way he washed this plate." Mary Ann:"Well, it looks clean to me." Skipper:"What's that spot in the middle of it?" Mary Ann:"THAT is your breakfast!"

I remember the Farrah poster with her in the red top. She was married to Lee Majors at the time. He starred in the Six Million Dollar Man. Talk about Power Couples at the time..wow.

I always get it backwards.

Something I learned about political correctness (I didn't capitalize it since it's so stupid), is that eventually it will collapse under the weight of its own ridiculousness.

I wish I could say that I thought of the line, "collapse under the weight of its own ridiculousness", but that came from someone far more intelligent than myself. It's so true.

I got a big smile on my face when I logged in and saw that iconic picture. Thank you so much MM. You have done so much to promote the Dukes of Hazzard, you should be in that picture too.....as long as you're not blocking the view of Daisy.
Seriously though, we love you and appreciate all that you do and all you have done for so long. Your friend Jimmie Best is in Hazzard Heaven smiling down on the HazzardNet.

I know what you mean Skipper. Society is making it politically incorrect to be a tough guy. This won't be good in the long run.

You know how everyone is so easily offended by things these days? Waylon Jennings made a joke about it a long time back before it got this way. In live versions of Mommas Don't Let Your Babies Grow Up To Be Cowboys he reversed the lyric to "Mommas Don't Let Your Cowboys Grow Up To Be Babies" lol. Very accurate to how things are these days.
Bout that joking lyric reversal:
What did WJ know that we didn't?
Seems like he knew at that time how things would end up.
