Doesn't John Scheneider owns him? He [John Schneider] teased us with him on the movie "Tres Leches" (they only showed "01").

My favorite TV cars are: General Lee, K.I.T.T., Pontiac Firebird Trans, and the Impala (Supernatural).

This list is an absolute disaster: https://www.scrapcarcomparison.co.uk/blog/the-ultimate-list-of-must-see-car-movies/

Smokey and the Bandit is number 23 while the crappy Dukes of Hazzard movie is 12? It makes no sense.

The list certainly has quite a few questionable entries. What I found weird is that the picture they used for #23 is a publicity shot of Joaquin Phoenix as The Bandit from the re-make 'Smokey and the Bandit Rides Again' which was originally due for release in 2020. As far as I can see, this reboot has disappeared without trace.

The games of Dukes of Hazzard aren't very good, except for the Xbox/PS2 one.

Burnout Paradise featured a car that sort of looked like the General Lee, the game has lots of fun jumps/stunts, but it's not a DoH game if that's what you wanted.

I just heard this sad news on the radio before I left work. They have a spot each week where they talk to a pair of American correspondents with differing political views, but both were united in their tributes to Loretta Lynn. RIP to the Coal Miner's Daughter.

    Both.

Sidenote: Hearing the grandsons of Cash and Jennings blew my mind by how much they sound alike the legends.

But as good as they were, I have no hopes they'll ever be as good as Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings. Plus, Scott Eastwood as good as he looks, he's a mediocre actor, sadly (imo).

This was funnily one of his better roles since he had little to do. lol

Scott Eastwood, Whey Jennings, Gabriel Thomas, etc need to find their own character than live off of the fame and success of their father/grandfathers. It's just not gonna work forever.

Just to add, I watched "The Last Movie Star" yesterday and it felt like a blend of an action star's life in his final years and some fiction for entertainment purposes. Pretty sad story, but touching.

The only thing they could've done to improve TLMS was use Burt Reynolds name than a made up one. It was about Burt Reynolds so even though I'm not a huge fan, I appreciate the existence of this movie/documentary.

    R.I.P., Mr. Reynolds.

This is the movie that had a really crappy cover and title, yet surprisingly I enjoyed it a lot more than the 2005 movie (not hard to beat, admittedly). Even still, it wasn't a good Dukes movie.

Smokey and the Bandit 1 & 2 are the best Dukes movies even while they're from a different franchise.

    R.I.P., Mr. Burt Reynolds.

By the way, John Schneider released a wonderful, true Country song recently than what's usually out there (pop music branded country).

    Can't say I have though I believe.

The only good part of that was Toby Keith, imo.

That being said, I'd have much rather preferred Johnny Cash instead.

The cast was great, their General Lee was faithful, but somehow it was a disaster.

I only liked the city scenes, seeing the General Lee being driven out of the garage, and Jessica Simpson looking hot back then.

This music video rocks even to this day.

I really dislike the 16.9 ratio they do when they do a HD 'remaster' of a 4.3 ratio show. You miss out on so much background detail especially in Cooters garage or Boss's office. Fox/Disney learned the hard way when they did a 16.9 remaster of the first 19 Simpson's seasons and cut off a bunch of visual jokes and subsequently went back and remastered them in 4.3 again after fan backlash.

Cousin Philip Duke... Yeah because the video game preview for Return of the General Lee on PS 2/Xbox on the Season 1 DVD set Special Features showed a plain orange roof. Just the rectangle where flag should be. But it was in actual game. But yeah these days there'd be no flag.

This is a TV Movie and I know I should have kept my expectations low, but it was pretty boring and uninteresting. Even with Mr. Schneider, Reba McEntire, and about Christmas.
That being said, I liked seeing him working on something new and McEntire looked stunning.

Thanks for the review, Philip. It scores a reasonable 7.6 on IMDb, and gets three 10/10s, two 9/10s, a 4/10 and 3/10 in the reviews. I doubt that I'll get to see it anytime soon, so I'll have to make do with John Schneider in 'The Great Santa Claus Chase', 'A Dickens of a Christmas' (from the Dukes animated series) and of course 'Christmas Comes to Willow Creek'.

Found a great one while researching Daisy's Plymouth.
From that car's final chase leading up to its destruction at Kissing Cliff, they recycled the same shot but reversed it.
I first noticed it by noticing the same body damage (rear fender above the wheel) on both sides.  When I slowed it down frame-by-frame, I was shocked to see it was the EXACT SAME FOOTAGE but reversed...and that I'd never had a clue!
First time we see it is the reversed footage.  You can see on the supposed driver's side what is Luke's arm casually on the window ledge, gripping the roof...on what is actually the passenger side.  In the subsequent shot, a millisecond later, the driver can be seen gripping the wheel on the wrong side (must've gone to the UK).
One will also notice between the two shots the rear view mirror is on the wrong side, to emphasize what we have already seen.

Now, compare the first photo with this one, taken later in the same chase scene.  It's EXACTLY THE SAME but reversed.  Even the tree, shrubbery, position of the Sheriff car, etc....

The best Dukes game isn't even a Dukes of Hazzard property, it's part of EA's Burnout franchise: Burnout Paradise

It doesn't have the flag which is part of General Lee's identity, but aside that it's pretty awesome.

    And that's Mr. Johnny Cash.
I never looked up if he was in any as I didn't want to spoil myself, but it was disappointing that I had reached the end [of the series] and he never showed up.
But hey, he made a song about the General Lee.

Yes, I've read about his political beliefs and while I don't agree with it (it goes against what our country stands for), I enjoy his character on the show.

John Schneider has a much better sense of reality and he's not a politician.

According to 'Redneck Boy In The Promised Land', Ben Jones once met James Brown on a flight to Los Angeles. James was raised in Georgia, and was a fan of the show, so he said he'd love to appear on it. The cast liked the idea, but apparently the network said "no". I guess his musical style ruled him out, but he could've sung 'It's Man's Man's World' to Daisy ("But it wouldn't be nothing, nothing without a woman or a girl"), or even 'The Boss' from the Black Caesar soundtrack - imagine how JD would've reacted to that!
