  1. Hey Ya'll Havent posted in awhile, was just checking out the reviews about the new Dukes movie and I gotta tell ya, Im really getting tired of all the bashing. I dont care what these people say about the new movie, Im gonna go see the movie and have some fun. Just the fact that the General Lee has finally made it to the big screen is exciting enough for me. The original cast and show will always be my favorite, but im still looking forward to the new movie. Take care ya'll...
  2. I wouldnt mind seeing a nice 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner in the movie....same chassis as the General Lee Charger and still a nice looking car...I think would go great with the other movie cars.
  3. You know, Ive been a dukes fan for 26 years now and still to this day when I see The General Lee take to the air, It still thrills me like Im 10 years old! Thanks for taking the time for making this "mini movie" and im sure Alan Jackson would surely get a kick out of it! Thanks again!
  4. The more im finding out about the movie, The more im getting excited about it! 2005 is gonna be a great year for The Dukes of Hazzard and its fans. Thanks Mr. Reynolds for telling WB where its at.
  5. Don't worry y'all, from the information I have been gathering, It seems like we are in for a real treat. The producers are trying to make a movie that is fun just like Smokey and The Bandit was, so lets all take a deep breath, relax, wait for the movie come out and I think all will be well in Hazzard County. Take care y'all....
  6. Speaking of tail lights, did you know that some 1968 Chargers were used in the series also. The 68 Chargers had four round tail lights and a front grille without the center section and slightly different front fenders. The Warner Bros Mechanics fitted the 68 models with the 69 taillight assemblies and 69 grilles and there you have it.
  7. Yes sir, I am positivley sure that model cars were used in the final season of the Dukes of Hazzard. I dont know if you have any of the final season on VHS but if you look closely at the jump sequences, you can defenitley tell that the cars are models. They dont have any suspension whatsoever and they land like toys....I guess the budget was getting tight in the last season. I think they were having a hard time buying Dodge chargers too. After all they went through 309 1969 Dodge Chargers. Thats alot of General Lees.
  8. Sean William Scott playing Bo looks a little crazy to me in these pics.... kinda like he missed his morning medication....
  9. Hey Ya'll, I have to agree about M.C. Gainey playing Roscoe. I only saw one pic of him, but this dude looks like he can spit nails. One thing is for sure, The new Roscoe aint gonna be playin around with the new Duke boys! You can also bet on Burt Reynolds playing a more meaner and maybe sometimes silly Boss Hogg. I really think the powers that be are going to make these characters for the new movie way more serious. Johnny Knoxville said that they are making a "more macho" big screen Dukes movie so in many ways this movie will be way different. I have to admit im not really happy about these changes, but I really want to see a quality movie made. As far as the new General Lees, they look really awesome so we wont be disappointed in the area of the General. I have to be honest here, Im really waiting to see the General Lee and the other cars in the movie!!!! And to "Dukefan", all i can say is this is one of the nicest places to be on the net and we are ALL true Dukes fans here, I value everyones opinion, so Im willing to listen to anyone give their thoughts on the new movie. Thsis is one place where we can truly all get along. Take care
  10. sounds like a plan to me...travis would do a great job....but the original song, id like to hear it somewhere in the movie.....
  11. If Jessica sings some songs for the soundtrack, she better get her "twang" in gear....Oh god please put some honest to goodness country singers on this album!!!!! Hey ol' Waylon we miss ya buddy!!
  12. Kid Rock may just do the theme song for the movie....He is a big Dukes fan like us and he does own a General Lee.......I saw it on TV. So most likely if hes singing "good ol' boys" at his concerts...he might be running it by his audience to see how they react to it....so I say its highly possible that Kid will do the theme song....take care ya'll
  13. I think the new movie will share some differences with the TV series and I think we as Duke fans will be suprised maybe even shocked at what we see in the big screen movie. In all honesty, I feel that Burt Reynolds and Willie Nelson will be the "glue" that will hold the new movie together. I heard the new movie has a budget between 45 and 50 million dollars so we can expect awesome stunts, and a high quality movie otherwise....take care ya'll
  14. From what I have been hearing ya'll, we are going to see the build process and painting right down to the Confederate flag on the roof and the 01 on the doors in the movie so we can actually watch the General Lee come to life! I really wish diamler Chrysler Corp. would build a actual 2 door rear wheel drive Charger for 2006 with some styling cues from the 68 and 69 chargers. Sorta like what Ford did with the new Mustang. If they build a 4 door Charger, I'll be heart broken. Take care ya'll...
  15. Hey Ya'll, When I posted about making "copperhead road" a song for the new Dukes movie, I honestly didnt listen closely to the last verse of the song. A major mistake on my part and I do appoligize. Although a very good song, most likely Steve Earle would not re-work the song anyway. Hows this for an idea.... Alan Jackson writing a new song or two for the soundtrack....I think his sound will definitley fit perfectly.....and also as a new Balladeer, I was thinking of none other than Hank Williams Jr. he's got the voice for the part and he is a living legend in country music just like ol' Waylon was. I would like to hear what ya'll think....see ya later Daniel
  16. Hey Ya'll Just reading these posts here and Mototerry I feel you are way out of line. I myself am rather opinionated and sometimes I feel I let myself get a little carried away but I like the folks here at Hazzardnet and I have to respect the people running this really great website. Im not a moderator or anything like that for Hazzardnet but I dont like to see good people get slammed for no reason. We as Dukes fans are excited about the new movie coming out because it is something new for the fans. The new movie will pay homage to the original Dukes in some ways, but the new movie will have to be different in some ways too. I really think Warner Bros will try very hard to satisfy the Dukes fans of yesterday while at the same time attempting to draw in a brand new audience. Please sir, give this new movie a chance, who knows....you may just like it. Happy New Year ya'll and God Bless.
  17. Me too....i was also very upset when The Nashville Network was bought out and changed to "The National Network" and now its "Spike TV".....Thank God that CMT is coming to our rescue. By the way CMT is owned by CBS and thats where the Dukes originally aired for all of its seasons......so you see, its like history is gonna repeat its self in a way.... thanks CMT.....and CBS.
  18. Thanks D2 for your post. I actually envy you and I wish I was a part of what ya'll are doing. I knw that building and maintaining all the General Lee's is a daunting task, but it must be a labor of love! take care.....
  19. I think for the big screen movie, we are gonna see a somewhat different Boss Hogg...im guessing a slightly more meaner but also funny with Burt's classic laugh. I think fans will be pleased with Burts performance....after all he is Burt reynolds.....I dont think he will disappoint us...take care ya'll....
  20. Hey Ya'll I think all of the posts here are right on the money, But I really have to go with Jesse Duke's post. Its what the Dukes are all about. Plain and simple. Hope ya'll had a had a nice Christmas!!!! See ya'll around Hazzard... Daniel
  21. Thanks for the very interesting article from the Wall Street Journal about the new Dukes movie. From reading it, I kinda see where possibly the new movie script is being written to handle the Conderferate Flag issue....thanks again...
  22. Well said GADuke01!!, We all know that there was nothing racist about the Dukes of Hazzard and the General Lee, as a matter fact, they are the exact opposite. The Dukes stood for honesty, decency, family values, truthfulness, and helping others. Look at Denver Pyle, who played Uncle Jesse, his character insisted on himself and his family to be good people and to always look out for others. As far as im concerned the confederate flag on the General Lee is a part of our countrys history and a part of southern tradition. Plain and simple. I think that the people that lash out at a wonderful show like the Dukes of Hazzard, ought to look else where at some of the garbage that is on television today. Happy Holidays Ya'll and take care....
  23. Thats a new one....I havent heard such news....i just hope the flag is left alone...
  24. thanks scott for sharing the story about seeing an actual General Lee from the good ol' days of the original Hazzard County. I wish I could of been there with ya man. i too did get to see an actual General Lee at Warner Bros in Burbank california while I was on tour of the studios. Saw a General from a distance in the transportation department . But I was not allowed to get close to the car. ( this was back in early 2001).I hope someday to build my own General Lee, but I really want to see one of the Original Generals up close....perhaps even drive em....yeee hawwww!!!! take care.....
  25. Just wanted to give ya'll a really big thank-you for your posts about these stunt scenes. I myself along with the other Hazzard folk really appreciate it! I know ya'll dont have to post this stuff but you guys are and thats just so cool! thank you again, and I just wish I was working on that movie too! take care ya'll....
