  1. Is this going to be a prequel to the film or are the trying to forget the film? If its a prequel we're going to have to look at the beat up General with the dull orange like in the begining of the movie. I do like the concept.
  2. This is just a guess, but I think you're best bet is on TV. Beyond that I haven't found anything on the net yet either. I've missed most of them on the TV too. Sorry if the opening sounded sarcastic, I just couldn't resist.
  3. Okay I realize people don't live on the forums all the time, but I'm getting a little stretched thin with one of these posts every couple of weeks. I wish people would read the other posts so they can complain there. Perhaps a Sticky post for everyone who hates the cast. Then another sticky for how the movie is ruining their childhood. I'm sorry life is rough, but your childhood and future should not be able to be ruined by a movie. Come on. Its like all of those Star Wars fans complaining that George Lucas "raped their childhood." It sounds like the Dukes are doing their job as a family show in your house. Cool. I cut my teeth on a toy General Lee and my first crush was Daisy. I've seen them all and sat through the second reunion movie. That should have ruined any fan's memories. But I watch and I still love the dukes. Hollywood will cast these movies to appeal to the 18 year old demographic. That's why we have this cast and it will be a fun movie. Leave it at being a fun movie and don't get bent out of shape. Ignore the movie if you want. The DVD's are great, watch them. As far as the ORANGE SWARM, wait until you see the movie (if you choose to) and quit saying the same things the other anti-Stiffler people have been saying for the past 8 months. Read some of the posts of the people who were on the set and see what they said. You're basing your argument on a 2 minute trailer. Just calm down and see. Sorry if this is flamey, I had to vent too.
  4. I've noticed that the people who are connected with the movie and saw the filming really thought it will be good. Maybe because they saw first hand how the story and characters will play out. Then there are the folks who are not happy because its a Hollywood revision and tend to screw things up. I'm going to the movie with no expectations. The jumps look good. The banter seems funny. I'll enjoy it for what it is, a revisionist take of the Dukes in 2005. Then I'll go home, pop in the DVD and remember my childhood. Its all good for me.
  5. I have the idea that the writers don't even know. Instead of doing background character development, they depended on the car chases. Not a judgement call, but they seemed to write new family into place whenever they needed a place to go when they were losing the farm or need a replacement cousin. I think the writers played on the large southern family too much. Now if they did do character development to the point they should have, I wonder if the family tree forks. Daisy made that joke in the first episode which makes ya wonder.
  6. I know the current seasons are selling good and 3 and 4 will do the same. I have to wonder though what will happen with Coy and Vance come to town. Will the DVD sales tank and then we'll lose releases on the final 2 seasons? Or will they not release the Coy and Vance Episodes? I'd like to have the Coy and Vance episodes. I know I'm in the minority. I definitely want to own all the seasons.
  7. I would go along with a former script writer from the show to pen the movie if you can promise me they had nothing to do with the last reunion movie.
  8. Woops! We exceed his user acount bandwidth limitations. Hopefully the link will be back up in a couple of days.
  9. Wasn't that a 2006 Charger at the beginning of the clip driving by. I may be wrong.
  10. So far we've only seen the trailer. It's possible those things might be there in part. Trailers are just eye candy. Granted the director doesn't seem family oriented, I doubt Warner Bros will let it go too far. The rumors that we've heard about Jesse smoking weed and such for example will probably be cut. I'm sure we'll see protection for daisy. Since their saving the farm there will probably be a Duke family moment. Who knows.
  11. If we had only ever saw "One Arm Bandits" we'd probably not call the show a family show. We've had all those seasons with the show knowing the values of the Duke Family. It's really difficult to pull off that same feel a 2 hour movie while keeping the impact. It doesn't help that a good majoritiy of the culture is going braindead.
  12. Don't forget the times that Daisy jumped into a bikini to distract a cop or bad guy in the original. She was a tease! From what I saw in the trailer, the new daisy is pulling the same tricks. The original Daisy was also really tough, we saw that too in the trailer when Simpson knocked the dude in the floor at the nest. The "where do i get an application" is very in character for Luke. Go back and watch the original and see how many times he has a clever one liner around a girl. I think what we'll have to get used to is modern filing techniques and dialogue.
  13. The General in the movie is a 69 charger. No reason to freak out yet. Unless they do a sequel and opt for an update. Still, isn't that the concept car from a few years back? Granted I have no clue want Chrysler is doing.
  14. I've got to wonder if Rosco's part in the movie is going to be as big as it was in the movie. The website doesn't have a Rosco wallpaper or buddy icon. All of the reviews posted here doesn't make mention of Rosco's role. Will there be a comedy duo with Boss and Rosco or will he be just a country sheriff under the main antagonist, Boss Hogg?
  15. Season 5 followed by several great episodes in Season 7 about a robotic sheriff and then an alien. Man those were great. Actually I really do like some of the Coy and Vance episodes. For real Probably season 3&4 is my favorite.
