  1. I'd like to add a point regarding the photo "fakery"... (and to get back on track a little bit)... These days, it's quite a bit easier to assemble composites in Photoshop than it would be to set-up a complete shoot. What with digital photography's advances, it's sometimes quicker to snap the elements seperately to achieve the desired result (without having to worry about all the props being perfectly lit, positioning, etc., etc.). Even if they had shot everything at once, chances are better than 50/50 that they'd paint in a better pic of the car anyway. And I bet the actors in this promo piece were possibly nowhere near a WB movie General Lee to do it all at once. Shoot them in NY, LA, wherever, then plop 'em on a ready-to-go pic of the Charger. Yeah, the work's a little sloppy, but they wanna start a bit of a buzz now, I'm sure. It's just a movie.
  2. I thought the director - Bob Berlinger - was a TV director? Best known for his work on Arrested Development, 3rd Rock From The Sun and Golden Girls? Is he involved with Broken Lizard?
  3. Better article here: ************************************************* IGN » Entertainment » FilmForce » News Bo & Luke: The Early Years Dukes prequel gearing up. April 27, 2006 - First Batman Begins then Casino Royale and Star Trek XI. Now even The Dukes of Hazzard will travel down the "early years" path. Production Weekly reports that a follow-up to Warners' big-screen remake of The Dukes of Hazzard is gearing up. The project will be a direct-to-video prequel featuring new actors in the lead roles of Bo, Luke and Daisy Duke. No word yet if Boss Hogg, played in the original film by Burt Reynolds, will also be recast. Bob Berlinger (TV's Arrested Development) will direct the pic, which plans on shooting in L.A. come mid-June. The Dukes prequel will reportedly "follow Bo and Luke Duke as teenagers during their first wild weeks in Hazzard County. While Boss Hogg outlaws moonshine in an attempt to establish his own monopoly, the boys get into a heap o' trouble making deliveries of the now-illegal liquor for Uncle Jesse in an effort to save his farm from foreclosure, and we learn the origins of the General Lee and Daisy Duke's daisy dukes." ************************************************* Source: http://filmforce.ign.com/articles/703/703598p1.html
  4. Uh-oh, looks kinda bad... ***************************************************** The Dukes of Hazzard: The Early Years Posted by Scott Weinberg on Friday, Apr. 28, 2006, 04:13 AM Scott Weinberg writes: "IGN FilmForce & Production Weekly report that, sigh, there's going to be a direct-to-video prequel to "The Dukes of Hazzard." If visions of that really awful "Dumb & Dumberer" prequel just popped into your head, trust me, you're not alone. From IGNFF: "The Dukes prequel will reportedly "follow Bo and Luke Duke as teenagers during their first wild weeks in Hazzard County. While Boss Hogg outlaws moonshine in an attempt to establish his own monopoly, the boys get into a heap o' trouble making deliveries of the now-illegal liquor for Uncle Jesse in an effort to save his farm from foreclosure, and we learn the origins of the General Lee and Daisy Duke's daisy dukes." No casting news just yet, but the director has been named: Bob Berlinger, TV veteran who's helmed everything from "The Golden Girls" to "Arrested Development." ***************************************************** Source: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/news/comments/?entryid=318956
  5. http://s58.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=2A78JP7WAH5Y02U83LNT3EVU71 It'll be there for 7 days, starting from Feb. 8.
  6. Of course there is... just look around. Know what's funny? The DOH movie was one of the only sell-outs this Xmas around here. I had to go to 10 different stores before I could find a copy for my bro. I considered giving him my copy, but I think somebody stole it from my place at a pre-Xmas party. Lame. Edit: It's funny to see the phrases "Serious movie buff" and "a big fan of Broken Lizard's films" in the same sentence.
  7. Holy broken recorditis. I'm buyin' 3 copies. Lurn to speel.
  8. I dunno why, I guess it's Seann's delivery, but the door #3 scene at the sorority house: "Katie Johnson - holy sh*t!" And Dil's blooper from the Boar's Nest scene... "I don't care if she's your cousin, as long as she's your sister... what the f*** did I just say?"
  9. Well, the General did just have its doors stuck shut... maybe DoH II will have the boys flyin' in and out of the windows like pros...
  10. OK, I dunno where this thread is going anymore, but... 28, life-long fan, and I liked the movie quite a bit. Didn't have a problem with the updates, it made sense to do it that way, given it's set in the present. It was funnier than I thought it would be. That being said, I'm off this board for a while, maybe for good... so to all the haters, have fun tearing your hair out to Dukes 2. And props to the admins...

  12. Sorority girl, farm girl, neighbor's daughter, what's the difference? Jesse was a farmer, how good could he have smelled? He looked pretty nappy most of the time...
