  1. KHEE! Congrats!

I dunno what tickles me more, that you 1) Wrote about Boss n' Rosco or 2) You procrastinated on thinking on it much and then turned in a winning essay. That's something Brian would do! (and Brian thinks he's a bad influence around here... LOL)

No pressure on typin' up that gold medal essay... :)

  2. Yeah, unfortunately, when I read, I'm kinda more into romances set in regency England or early America... LOL I do like some books of action though. I'll have to look into his books. I don't read much since I burned out (I was reading about four to six books a week). Right now I'm more happy writing than reading. I haven't quite recovered from the burn out.

As much as Robert Culp would have liked to have been a novelist (he did try to write one once) he was not. He was an actor. 8-)

  3. I think 6pm EST is a good idea. Since we have so many folks on here who cover darn near every time zone on this planet, (and them some of us old timers who just can't stay up real late :innocent: ) that should be a good time to start.

And yes, poor Hoss was about banging his head against the wall over tryin' to figure your name. By the way Scoot, I still can't believe you've never heard of Robert Culp...

  4. First of all, yeeehaw that TNN is comin' back!

Second, MeTV is on frequently in my house. And I even get to watch it on my lunch hour at work. LOL. Tho' as much as I like Frank Cannon if I don't get back to going for walks on my lunch hour I will LOOK like Frank Cannon before it's over with...

And lastly, I'm amazed that as we sit here in 2012 with digital cable, satellite tv and all, that we can still talk of having rabbit ears for the tv... LOL

  5. So I'll say that I did not "force" her to join. I've encoraged her and was finally able to help her on. So there was no forcing. She just said the wrong thing. So I'm not that mean of a person.

We've no doubt you're not that mean of a person. :)

However, despite what Roger said, I always favored a little arm twisting to get folks to join up. So kudos for making your friend join. LOL

  6. Welcome to HazzardNet RiotKid. Roger's right - people should be here of their own free will. You can check-out any time you like, but you can never leave!. Ah, HazzardNet, such a lovely place :).

Just to clarify tho', we have no mirrors on the ceilings or pink champagne on ice... :D

  7. MaryAnne is hardly an idiot either. More like the glue that holds this place together (when she's not tripping over power cords), also with an above average IQ.

    I appreciate that. :)

It's because we're all so smart that we're also very lazy. ;)

There's a difference between being an idiot and acting idiotic. LOL.

And I'd say we are some of the finest idiotic acting folks you'll ever meet!

  8. See, that would be the smart thing to do, so we automatically ruled that idea out. I think that's one of our mottos. "Banishing common sense since 1999..."

Oh, we've deleted whole people before. I hope their families don't miss them too much. They didn't contribute much here anyway, so it wasn't a big loss or anything. LOL. We've accidentally launched folks into the outer atmosphere when we simply meant to punt them out the door for a little bit. Of course, some of that happened before you got here, countrygirl. I recall a lot of interesting things happened when we switched forum software. Yeah, that was fun. It's a good thing I understand all the technical stuff, cuz if it was left up to Brian and MaryAnne, y'all would be using tin cans with strings to talk to each other. Really long strings. ;)

This is true and the strings would be frayed. And then Brian would have to chime in with his frayed knot joke... :D

  9. Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes. I've enjoyed this thread. Khee!

Between the 3 of us, we have well over a century of experience. Experience in loafing, tripping over the server power cords, accidentally deleting things, making inappropriate comments, harassing each other, hatching devious schemes, and other important skills you need to get through life.

Yessiree, you can't find a more experienced staff on any website, anywhere. Khee!

  10. Hilery's right, Rog, you did nothin' wrong. Remember, this is the site that has the monthly newsletter...when we get around to it. :) If HNet staff felt ashamed about any time we've ever slacked off, this site woulda shut down about a week after it was launched 13 years ago!

I understand you feelin' overwhelmed with multiple projects tho'. That's happened to many of us, including myself, Mufn and Brian. There's only so much you can do and only so many hours you can dedicate to it. It's hard, especially when there's so much you want to do and take part in. But there's truth to learning how to say "no."

But please, don't feel bad. We appreciate all you have done and do do around here as member of the HNet community.

  11. You're not imagining things! In the episode, "Repo Men" Jesse espouses the Duke philosphy of striking back at property, not at people. This is when the boys are rigging up Cooter's tow truck with the claws so they can tear the countefitters car apart. Khee!
