  1. Luke looked at everyone who were now gathered outside the Boar's Nest around the General. He pushed the talk button.

"Did she say who they are?"

"Yeah. Fellas name is "Bomber Billy" and his sister Sandra, who goes by Switchblade. Apparently they's stunt people too. They're curious about ol' Max. I tell ya, ya think there was a half price sale a Rhuebottoms or something with all these folks comin' into town!"

Luke laughed. "She mention anything else about them?"

"Naw, that was it. Remember y'all, all that land's over by the Chickasaw border. If you head over there, you best tread carefully."

"We will Crazy C. Thanks for the info."

"Anytime. Hollar if ya need me."

"10-4." Luke dropped the CB mike back into the General.

"That reminds me," Rosco said. "Another piece of news for y'all...Vicki just got married in Chickasaw. To Hughie Hogg."

"Man this just gets better, don't it?" Bo said.

"If Vicki's not careful, she's gonna git caught in a crossfire," Daisy said.

"Which means we need to get movin' quick," Luke said. "You better git a hold of your cousin, Rosco."

    The Sheriff nodded.

Luke looked at Bo, Coy and Vance. "We got some scoutin' work to do, so let's get going."

    (Cue anybody! :) )

  2. Rosco came out of Boss's office and found the Dukes (Coy and Vance included....they'd been pulled from the ditch and brushed off) along with Daisy at a table. He walked over.

"Bad news, bad news, I think we're in trouble."

    "What's going on?" Luke asked.

"Mad Max just broadcasted on the CB for me and Boss to stay out of his way while he's looking for Hughie."

"You know, if it weren't for all these out of towners that are running around here, I'd say let Max and Hughie go at it," Luke said. He then shook his head. "I've got a feeling there's something bigger going down."

"So what do we do?" Bo asked.

"Well, as much as I ain't too keen on saving Hughie's hide I figure if we can get him out of the way for a little while and find a way to neutralize Max's posse, then we'll let them two slug it out. But we're gonna need some reinforcements tho'..." He looked up at Rosco with a grin. "Reckon that cousin of yours in California could help us out?"

"Khee! I bet he'd be delighted."

"Awright, here's what we gotta do in the meantime....." Luke's voice dropped low and he shared his plan with his cousins and the Sheriff.

    (Next! Khee!)

  4. While all of Hazzard seemed to be turning into Hell breaking loose, Rosco and the Dukes boys traded notes. They were able to confirm a few things:

    1. Vicki was back in Hazzard...even if she had just escaped into Chickasaw. And if Vicki was back that meant Hughie wasn't far behind.

    2. Mad Max Davenport was back in town, and had apparently brought a lot of friends with him.

    3. If Max and Hughie were to meet up at some point.....eeeeek...

"Daisy told us on the CB that she saw Dewey in town too," Luke said.

"Yeah," Bo concurred. "Does Boss know that?"

Rosco shook his head. "No, I don't think he does. I wonder just how many of Boss's kin are gonna show up?"

"Not to mention Cooter's totally wacked cousin, Max," Luke added. He looked at Bo. "Ya reckon Cooter knows it's HIS kin that's causin' a good deal of the ruckus?"

"If he don't, he's gonna find out right quick."

"Listen fellas, maybe Hazzard's in for something that we all need to be prepared for."

Luke nodded. "Yeah. Why don't you follow us over to the Boar's Nest. Maybe we can find out some more over there from Daisy."

Rosco nodded. A moment later the General and patrol car headed down the road to the Boar's Nest....

    (Next! LOL)

  5. Boss sat in his Boar's Nest office and looked at his pocket watch with a scowl. "I shoulda known better than to try to make a deal with Dukes. What the heck is keeping Coy and Vance??" They were a good 20 minutes late to their appointment.

If that wasn't bad enough, somebody went and bombed his caddy, along with somebody's patrol car. Figuring things could only get worse, Boss picked up the CB mike. "Rosco! You gotcher ears on? Over..."

Rosco was still tailin' Vicki in her Corvette. "That's a big 10-4 lil' fat buddy! Khee! Over."

"What in tarnation are you up to out there? Over..."

"Well right now I'm tailin' a lil' red Corvette....hmm...wasn't that a song? Anyway, I'm tailin' this Corvette that just rolled in from Chickasaw. Over."

    "So? Over."

"So?? I'll have you know that I know that Vicki is in that car and if Vicki's back in Hazzard yer lil' piglet of a nephew known as Hughie can't be far behind! Over..."

Boss groaned. He was right. Things were gonna git worse.

"Well you keep tailin' her then! And if you see Hughie, so help me, you haul 'em outta Hazzard, ya hear?" Boss clicked the talk button again. "Over."

"That's a big fat affirmative! I'm gone! Over."

    (cue anybody!)

  6. LadyD's comment about chats got me thinkin'....we haven't had a fanfic chat for like a million years! LOL

In the past, the Saturday around 8pm eastern (5 pacific) seems to work pretty well.

I'm gonna suggest we try for this Saturday the 27th startin' at 8pm. Also, let's try another chat on Wednesday the 31st startin' at 8pm. There's no closing hour...I figure the thing can go on until there's one person left standin' in the chat room. ROFL.

Don't worry if you can't make one or both chats. I wanna see how well these two chats go and perhaps we'll set up something on a more regular basis, and different time slots. Remember too..you can set a date and time for chat as well. =)

Whattya say folks? Wanna chat? LOL

  7. "Oooh jit!" Rosco watched the car come to a sudden stop and sit there for a moment, dust swirling around it. They obviously seen him and he grinned. He had somebody's attention.

When it started moving again, he kept his eye on it, watching it approach the county line at a more subdued pace. As it got closer, he identified it as an early 70's red Corvette. The car rumbled past him and he looked straight into the cockpit, noticing two men and one woman.

The woman looked familar and upon seen the license plate, Rosco had a positive ID. It was his neice, Vicki.

He clocked the Corvette doing exactly 55. But he followed anyway. No lights, no siren, just an annoying white speck in the rearview mirror of Corvette. Rosco snickered. Vicki may have been his neice, but it was time to dispense some justice....

    (cue...anyone! :) )

  8. She could prolly have both a car phone and CB, afterall car phones have been around since atleast the mid-60's. :)

Yup, watch out on the Silverado. Kristy drives a 2000 model (black I believe) and Dixie Duke drives an '86 short bed with a lifted suspension (what a kewl lookin' truck. Khee!) 8)

I thought Vicki had a Corvette?

  9. After settling the dispute of the repair bill for the patrol car....actually, after leaving Cooter and Boss the settle the dispute over the repair bill, Rosco dutifully headed back out on patrol. He had seen the cloud of dust caused by Max Davenport's semi's and knew where they were heading. Boss had mentioned the sale of 20 acres about a mile and half outside of town. Rosco wondered why Max Davenport had decided to come back to Hazzard now? The Sheriff recalled the incident between Max and Hughie Hogg and the whole mess that involved the Dukes as well. And if what Lulu said was correct, that Max was only here for a visit...what was with all the trucks and the purchase of land and the mobile homes comin' in....

Overhead, a plane buzzed. Rosco looked up through the windshield and saw the blue lettering on the underside of the wings. "MAD MAX DAVENPORT, STUNTMAN."

    And the plane.

"Mad Max...Crazy Cooter...I wonder if they got a cousin named Louie. Looney Louie. KHEE!" Rosco giggled at his own joke. Flash barked, not necessarily amused.

"You didn't like that one darlin'?"

    "WOOF!"

"I thought it was pretty good...."

The patrol car continued along the dusty roads of Hazzard County. Eventually Rosco found himself heading towards the Chickasaw border. He sighed, realizing he was going to have to turn around. He figured maybe he'd stop at the Boar's Nest, seeing as he wasn't that far away. He slowed down and was about to turn the patrol car around, when a cloud of dust on the other side of the county line caught his attention. He turned the Plymouth Fury around, pulled to the side of the road and stopped to look in his rearview mirror, seeing the car coming closer to the county line. Whoever it was, they were sure hell bent on getting to where ever they were going.

    (Cue anyone)
