  1. I can't wait until the finished car is revealed. Is that a 4 wheel drive Delorian in the back of your shed? Cheers Brad
  2. I noticed the other day but forgot which episode (somewhere in series 3) & the post that was just added on Facebook has a screen grab of Luke sitting on the bonnet of the General & the bottom of the nudge bars aren't attached to the car. It's just welded on at the bumperbar. Cheers Brad
  3. Happy birthday MaryAnne. Those Monday birthdays can be great if you don't have to go to work. Cheers Brad
  4. I'm watching 'Hazzard Connection' & I just noticed that just after Luke drove the slammer car off the back of the transporter (right near the end of the episode) that it shows a close up of Luke in The General then cuts back to the red slammer car. Cheers Brad
  5. Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone has heard any rumors about what happened on the show, whether it was about the cars, what happened on set or others related to the show. One that I heard a few years ago I used 'torment' my Chrysler mad friend with, was there was a field where all the retired Generals were parked, just rusting away (we know this isn't true of course). Another one that I read about was there was a General at the bottom of one of the ponds from filming that is still there. Does anyone else have any to add? Cheers Brad
  6. Thank you Roger. It was the best birthday yet, my wife had an ultrasound on that day & we got to confirm the gender of our unborn child, I think my son was just as excited as I was. Cheers Brad
  7. I'm looking forward hover boards, you can buy replica ones & also that colorful hat as well. I read somewhere that the Mayan calendar didn't include leap years, so in theory if you take that into consideration, their calendar finished about six months ago. Cheers Brad
  8. I received a birthday email from Hazzardnet the other day & I wish to say thankyou. It was a nice surprise in my inbox. Cheers Brad
  9. I finially had some time to watch series 3 again. In 'The legacy' right after Cletus drives his car through J.D Hoggs's sawmill (which looks a lot like the Boars Nest, with a different facia) is where in the scene after you see the crew members shadows on the ground. Brad
  10. The second bike would take some getting used to riding. Brad
  11. Also found a Dodge Monaco(?) matchbox car in police paint job. So everyone can encourage their kids to re-enact their own DOH adventures. Brad
  12. Here in Australia there is an attachment like a 'trailer' for bikes to carry young children on the back. Just imagine your bike frame with only the goose neck, the top bar, the seat, & a bit of frame the the back (3rd) wheel. The trailer's gooseneck attached to the actual bikes seat pole. Sorry for the vague description, I hope you understand. Brad
  13. Just to add to my previous post the 1970 charger with the blower also comes in orange. My son just spotted both chargers in the toy store & bought them so now he can have his own DOH fun. Brad
  14. I got my son a hot wheels 2011 poster the other day & that car is on there. There is also a 1970 charger with a blower poking through the bonnet (black like in fast & the furious). I went looking for an Australian hot wheels car, it took me 13 months to find one looking at every toy shop I could find. Good luck & hope you find one. Brad
  15. Before I had even finished reading your post I was going to suggest a mini. It would look great in orange with a flag on the roof (other than the union jack) & 01 on the doors. Either car you have chosen would be a good 1st car. Mini's have tonnes of aftermarket parts available (can even buy brand new bodyshells) either way it would be a good idea buying a 'Haines' repair manual for whatever car you buy to help with increasing your knowledge on how to do basic repairs if needed. You will do great in your driving test! Brad
  16. They look like wire wheels with a '3 pointed' knock of wheel nut. In a similar style as a Jaguar E-type. Sorry no idea what brand they are though. Brad
  17. I've just finished watching series 1-5 since early January & found a few mistakes that haven't been mentioned yet, but I've forgotten them so I have to rewatch to see them. But somewhere in the 3rd series there is a long shot of the general driving (in the country) towards the camera & becomes a close up & you can see the film crews shadows on the ground. Also somewhere in the 5th season, in a couple of long shots there are a couple of interesting buildings in some driving scenes out at the ranch. I'm going to rematch them again to confirm which episodes they are. Brad
  18. I can't say that watching Dukes has influenced me wanting to drive like that. But doing an advanced driving course can help people to understand & drive according to the road conditions. In over 10 years of driving legally & being in the motor industry for a similar amount of time. I can admit have only had one accident, my car, dirt road slowing for a corner & rear tyre just nudged the edge embankment (less than 1ft high) loaded four wheel drive, doing less than 35klm (22 miles) resulted in a twice roll over back onto it's wheels no injuries to any passengers & I wasn't driving recklessly, but later found out the stretch of road was notorious for 4wd fatalities. The point I'm trying to make is only driving 'dangerously' or 'recklessly' in controlled environments. Sorry to hear about your cousin Roger. Brad
  19. Great to see The General is number 1 but as an Australian it is also good to see The Interceptor made number 9. Another 'cult' b-grade movie that was made over here back in the late 70's early 80's was a movie called 'Running on Empty' which had a rather nice 1972 Ford Falcon phase III as the hero car, an early 70's Challenger as the bad guys car & a rather mean looking 1957 Chev as the other hero/finale car. Brad
  20. Good luck with that Roger, I hope you last the week. Cheers Brad
