  1. Well its been real cold here:( I finally had a chance to pull the General out for a few pictures. I was going to drive it around but now we have snow. Before I really play with it I am going to have everything checked out. It has lots of metal welded underneath the car for the jumps I am sure. The car has the original tag from the builders of the Generals. Here are a few shots of the car. P.S. you can see the graffiti still on the taillights from the movie scene.
  2. Its here! I got the General Lee yesterday. It looks better than I thought. I had to put door locks on it and a front molding and rubbed the car and its done. I am going to have a mechanic go through it because I want to drive the heck out of it:D I drove it and the steering was a little swirly but it is cool. It has a roll cage that is serious. Here are a few pictures as it was snowing a little yesterday.
  3. Well it just came in and I am at work:( Cant wait to get home and take a look. I may put a plate on it and take it to the bar:escape: LOL. The girls love when they see the General:p I will shoot some pictures of the car tomorrow and post them. This week I will drive the car to where I have my first to reunite them and a few photos.
  4. I have never been to a Dukesfeast myself although I may go very soon. There is something about a car that was prepared by WB. Each car is built up different for use in different scenes. For instance, my car had air tanks in the trunk so when they were on gravel roads, rocks would kick up higher. I am excited, my recent General Lee is going to be delivered to me tomorrow. I will post some pics. Heres my car along with others on set. After this my car was gone throught by Warner Brothers and fender is fixed.
  5. Thanks for the kind words Brian. I understand there are 17 TV cars out there under contract. There are a fewer movie cars out there maybe half that amount. I was lucky to have a chance to own a WB car because really it was being in the right place at the right time and being that I already had a history of owning movie cars. You are right I think most people who own them are not so much into the money, they love the cars. Its a triple wammy for me. I am a Mopar guy, a movie car guy and a Charger lover. i was at the Woodward Cruise and talked to two other General Lee guys. We all had lots of fun discussing the cars together.
  6. Here are a few more. These are the only three cars that WB sold with tittle. One was a smashed up car.
  7. We are all blessed in a certian way. Maybe I took this the wrong way because it has happened so much in the past where people have said things like " oh it must be nice" or "I wish I were you" etc. They dont realize when they are drinking beer and watching a ball game on Sunday or maybe at thier cottage for the weekend, I am at work. Anyway lets talk General Lees:lol:
  8. No worries. Here are a few more shots of the General Lees
  9. "a General Lee. Of course some people are blessed with more money to be able to afford one" I have not been blessed with more money I worked very hard in life. I also dont have a wife and kids and I dont throw it away. "What you say is true about 17 of the 23 or 24 TV series survivors, they are still under a contract which is very restrictive but that is to keep those guys from making tons of cash buy selling pictures or charging to see them and stuff like that." My cars have nothing to do with Wayne Wooten and I am glad for that. Never met the guy myself but I dealt with WB direct and they told me specifically I can do whatever I want with the car. "It is our car so you have the right to show it and make money if you like." All week on Woodward I let kids sit in it and take photos and never charged anyone. Did you consider that maybe the original cast didnt get a cut of the movie or a cameo appearance and that could, ( not saying it is) be the reason for them not liking the movie.
  10. No worries, nothing to debate. I never heard that a car that was bought by Warner Brothers, built by Warner Brothers as a General Lee and screen used as a General Lee then sold by Warner Brothers to me as a General Lee isnt a General Lee:lol: In fact it is the most valuable General Lee around givin documentation title says WB right on it. If it was anything else other than a General Lee I wouldnt be getting the big offers to buy the car. P.S. Is the 1989 Batmobile not a Batmobile? Think about it.
  11. I am lucky but I didnt get things easy unfortunately I put alot of years in working hard:-? You do get to hang out wth interesting people.
  12. Well all I know is there are definately some perks in owning a General Lee. I told her it was a movie car and she sure didnt mind:lol: Its amazing the attention you get by having a 01 on the side of youre car.
  13. The same company who built the General Lee TV cars are the same people who built the movie cars and that is Warner Brothers right? So really a General Lee is a General Lee. When I drove down Woodward at the cruise and people saw the window sticker that says WB, they didn't care if it was a movie or TV car. Movie cars were also built better. TV cars have tough restrictions on them where you have to go along with whatever Wayne Wooten says. I know people who sold their GLs because of that. Who wants someone in charge of your car, not me.
  14. It was in the opening of the Dukes movie. This is the car that was smashed between the two farm veichles. It was also the car that they sprayed grafitti all over so it played a cool part in the movie. It has been fixed and on the way to my home. Here are a few more pictures of before.
  15. I thought about what if I sell the General Lee and said I would not have one. That was devastating:cry: I then knew of another GL and called the guy up to ask him if he was going to sell it. At the time he wasnt but we talked a while and then he said he would. We discussed the car for a week and I had a friend drive down and look at the car for me. It needed a few things nothing major. We made a deal and this is the car. It used to look like this
