  1. Thanks for the invitation but I won't be going that way anytime soon. We went to Niagara Falls a couple years ago but didn't go on the Canadian side because you need a passport now. In the meantime if you're ever west of Buffalo and cross the Pennsylvania line let me know.

It looks like Boston is going to be cold for the World Series.

Yes it certainly does look like they might freeze.

Funny you mentioned Pennsylvania. I went through just last month on my way to Myrtle Beach, SC.

Usually take an annual trip to Myrtle. Absolutely love it.

Although it's unrelated to the MLB playoffs this year, I'm reminded that 2013 marks the 20 year anniversary of Toronto winning their last world series, courtesy of Joe Carter's iconic home run: http://jayshub.org/2013/10/23/20-year-anniversary-of-joe-carters-iconic-world-series-home-run/

  2. I don't like or dislike any of the two World Series teams so I won't be paying much attention. I don't like watching sports without someone to root for.

I love Toronto. I've been there three times. Once in the early 80s, then again for my honeymoon in 1996 and on Aug 15 1998 to witness Roger Clemens strike out 16 batters. That was the only time I've ever seen a MLB game that wasn't in Pittsburgh.

I don't like cities but I sure liked Toronto! The Blue Jays are my favorite team in their division. Unfortunately they didn't live up to their expectations this year.

All three times when I went there I went up the CN tower. The day before the Blue Jays game I attended the dome was open for another game so the view from the tower was breathtaking. And, oh yes, I yelled Roger the whole game since he's the only Roger in baseball. LOL We had the cheap seats but I moved behind the plate in the last inning and was only one person away from getting a Jose Conseco foul ball.

    Heh, that's awesome Roger!

Next time you're in Toronto, give a holler.

You'll almost always find me at the Blue Jays game!

  3. I absolutely love Duck Dynasty, and you guys are right, they certainly do love their Dukes of Hazzard with all the references scattered throughout the show!

    It's definitely hilarious and entertaining.

In fact, if any of you are familiar with Twitter, Willie Robertson's Twitter handle is @williebosshog, so that should tell you something right there!

  4. Well We won!!! Warner Brothers is now saying the Confederate flag is going to STAY on the General Lee and saying the original story was"inaccurate" about banning the flag from future model kits or Die cast. Sounds to me they are just covering their arse from a potential big boycott and loss of possible revenue judging from the outcry on the net IMO.

This is great news! Glad to hear that everything is staying the way it SHOULD.

  5. I've been absolutely glued to my TV set.

Being from Canada, I don't get to talk to too many folks about baseball, as its more of an "American sport".

Of course, we do have the Toronto Blue Jays (and I'm from Toronto!) but seeing the way our season went was just awful.

    But that's besides the point.

    Anyone been watching the playoffs?

This year they have been amazing! I think that the Wildcard games, division series and championship series have all been the most exciting ones in recent memory.

If anyone wants to talk baseball, hit me up in this thread! I'm obsessed.

  6. At the beginning of this year, Tom was doing a Q&A session on Twitter and so I took the opportunity to ask him a question relating to the Dukes of Hazzard and what he took away from it. I know there is the thread about Tom's attitude towards the show and that some of it might be negative, but I think his short answer still says alot... That he took more away from the relationships he developed with the cast and crew than the actual show itself.

    Hope you guys enjoy!

  7. It's really great to have you back John.

    That's a sweet picture of a GL pick-up truck.

They had a General Lee riding lawn mower on Duck Dynasty.

Hey, the General is.....and always will be....... the most famous and recognizable car in the history of this old planet so it's no surprise folks like to imitate it!

    Yeah very true!

I actually saw the Duck Dynasty mower too LOL.

    Loved it!

  8. Hey guys,

It's been awhile. I used to be around here on the forums quite a while ago, and unfortunately I sorta lost touch with HazzardNet because I've been so busy over the last year or so... You know how it is, life changes happen and sometimes your world gets twisted upside down! Well anyways I'm back, and missed the community (names John btw, as I'm sure everyone doesn't remember... its been awhile!).

    Anyways enough with that.

I had to laugh at this. I was driving to pick up some beer the other day, and spotted this in the parking lot.

TALK ABOUT A MAKESHIFT GENERAL LEE!

sorry about the picture... but I was driving!

I'll see y'all around, and look forward to getting back in touch with everybody :)

    Keep it 'tween the ditches!

  9. Fair enough!

The only "bloopers" or "mistakes" that make it onto the screen that I ever catch are the completely obvious ones, like when Bo and Luke alternate being in the front seat of the General in the same driving sequence, or when a sound doesn't get edited out or something... Just the random ones. But it's neat to see when people can post screenshots like that of random things that just shouldn't be there, LOL.
