    One Word Song Titles

I love the piano on this track, I could listen to it over and over. This was a 1990 hit for the Irish pop/rock band. The singer now works as a radio DJ, although they still play occassionally.
  2. Roger, it was Hobie's first post on HNet, and the first few posts are moderated and therefore don't usually appear immediately (*gives benefit of doubt*). Welcome to HNet and the trivia thread Hobie.
  3. I've just been reading Paul Baxley's page on IMDb, and never realised how many movies and TV shows he worked on. His resumé includes some of my favorites like 'Diamonds Are Forever' and 'It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World', as well doubling for William Shatner in 'Star Trek'. In fact, he worked from 1947 through to 'The Dukes of Hazzard: Hazzard in Hollywood' in 2000, which is an amazing feat given the nature of his business. What also struck me was the number of times he was stuntman/stunt coordinator on a movie or show but was not credited. It brought to mind the theme from . Seeing as Paul was stunt coordinator on 'Coogan's Bluff' he truely was "the unknown stuntman that makes Eastwood look so fine".For those of you who don't know what Paul looked like, check out 'Hazzard County Stunt Team - Reunited and in Your Face!" in the DVD extras on season 5. The following still is grabbed from there: RIP Paul (1923-2011)
  4. All four of you get points tonight, although Daney was the only one who seemed at all sure . The street number is quite prominent as you can see: The building is virtually unchanged today (as you can see on Google Maps), although the other side of the street has been completely redeveloped (click the Google link and spin around). While we're on 'Daisy's Song': Q. In 'Daisy's Song', which character does Waylon say "was born on the dirt floor of a sharecropper's shack"?: A) Uncle Jesse Boss Hogg C) Rosco D) Lester Starr E) Jojo F) Ms. Mabel

    Rosco's Patrol Car

We now have another member who does vector art, TimSherry01. He has already posted one of his artworks in the 'Signs of Hazzard' thread, and we have also been swapping artwork. Tim produces decals for model cars. His expanding range already boasts many Hazzard vehicles including police cars, some of the race cars, and the 'Carnival of Thrills' cars. This artwork exchange spurred me on to do two more patrol cars, one from the first season, one from the last. The first is an Atlanta Police car, a '76 Fury, a pair of which were encountered by both Boss and the Dukes in 'Daisy's Song'. The second is also a '76 Fury with the A-pillar spotlights like those of the Chickasaw cars. This one belongs to Sheriff R.P. "Droopy" Cathcarte of Osage County. It can be seen in 'Cool Hands, Luke & Bo' in season 7.

Fun video directed by Ade Edmondson, star of '80s/'90s British comedies such as 'The Young Ones', husband of Jennifer Saunders, and last night he appeared on TV dancing 'The Dying Swan' for charity . It looks like a collaboration between Salvador Dali and MC Escher.
  7. A classic track from The Moody Blues' 1967 concept album 'Days of Future Passed'. Although this is probably the best known track on the album, I also like 'Forever Afternoon (Tuesday?)'.
  8. Anyone else on dial-up experiencing slow load times in long threads?. I think BL's technique of going to the last page should work fine. Roger gets both points, with one to waikiki. To be precise, Uncle Jesse says "That's got to be bad meatloaf.". Luke replies "That is duck à la orange." [sic]. Q. In 'Daisy's Song' what is the street number of Starr Recording Inc.?: A) 1100 1200 C) 1300 D) 1400 E) 1500 The number is the address of the real building on Spring St. NW in Atlanta which is now Hot Beats Recording Studios.
  9. Welcome to HazzardNet :).

  10. cereal My first thought was from the first Austin Powers movie, but thought that may prove hard to associate .
  11. bread I'm sure Enos would like Irish soda bread, it's made with baking soda and buttermilk .
  12. Everyone seems to be in agreement, so it's lucky that everyone's right . Q. In 'Officer Daisy Duke' the boys have to take on Daisy's household chores, including the cooking. What does Uncle Jesse think that Luke has cooked, and what did Luke claim it actually was?.
  13. I just watched 'Officer Daisy Duke' last night. During the target shooting scene in Daisy's training, Bo, Luke and Daisy are standing by the target. Grady Byrd thinks Daisy only got one shot on target, but Luke gets out his pocket knife and digs the other bullets out of the same hole. Maybe you misremembered the target board for a sign/barricade - this is the nearest I can think of, otherwise I'm stumped for now.

    Commercials

This commercial has just started airing on TV over here. It's for price comparison website moneysupermaket.com and stars David Soul and the Gran Torino. The other guy (who is a regular on their commercials) is Iranian stand-up comedian Omid Djalili, who has also been in movies like 'Gladiator' and 'The Mummy'.

  16. yards Must be a Jack Bauer fan - why else would that number be on Garrett's mind this weekend .
  17. I never realised that Cathy and my mother share the same birthday . Happy birthday to both, and a happy St. David's Day to anyone with Welsh connections.
  18. Points to MaryAnne, Roger and Daney there. Jeannie Wilson played Mary Kaye Porter and Laura Bardsley, although she was credited as Jeanne Wilson when she played Mary Kaye. According to IMDb she was Miss Texas in the 1968 Miss USA Beauty Pageant. Q. In 'The Meeting', Black Jack Bender asks Daisy for some coins to use the payphone, hands her some money, and tells her to keep the change. What value note did he give her?: A) $1 $5 C) $10 D) $20 E) $50 F) $100
