  1. If all we were wearing were kid gloves around here, I'm sure we'd get plenty of attention.
  2. I agree with Brian's sentiments above. MaryAnne is the glue that holds HazzardNet together, when she's not busy accidentally makin' it self-destruct. "Hmmm.. what does this shiny button do?" Khee! All kidding aside, I really do appreciate all the time, effort, and love MaryAnne puts into this site. -Mufn
  3. You gonna ship a piece o' that cake out this way?
  4. Do you have your avatar hosted somewhere else? I don't think we have the forums set up to accept uploads of avatar images. Let us know if you get any error messages so we can diagnose your problem. If you need hosting for your avatar, we recommend: Photobucket - Click here to join!
  5. Well, the nice thing about it is, since we haven't taken the lights down from last year, we won't have to go through all the trouble of puttin' 'em up again! Khee! It was kinda hard to weed whack around the animated deer all year tho' and I think some birds built a nest in our artificial light-up Christmas tree. For Easter, we put a nice easter bonnet on the Grinch and on the 4th of July, he wore a big Uncle Sam top hat. Khee!
  6. I don't know about y'all, but they're already whippin' out the Christmas decorations around here. And I thought it was strange to see Halloween stuff in July. LOL. Just 106 shopping days left! Y'all better get busy. Khee!
  7. I don't think so, if you voluntarily enter said environment. And like I said, you'd have to be a few fries short of a Happy Meal to wanna work here.
  8. And if you thought by taking this test, you might actually get to be a moderator on this website or if you actually WANT to be a moderator on this website, I suggest you seek professional psychiatric help.
  9. I can understand why there are some complaints. The same issues keep coming up year after year and some folks get frustrated that they haven't been taken care of. One of the reasons the same issues keep coming up, however, is that DukesFest is growing exponentially and it's hard to anticipate how huge it's going to be. Yes, a lot of work needs to be done. But there are just some things that can't be fixed... unless, of course, we clone the cast members so they can sign more autographs. (Not a bad idea!) LOL. There's only so many folks that 7 cast members can meet and sign for in a day. I do believe that they should try harder for the car owners. They go to much more expense than most of the other fans. But signing every car is also kind of unrealistic. That would probably take a whole day in itself. Like I said, some problems are next to impossible to solve. You'll never do it all in one DukesFest. All I can say is, if you go to DukesFest next year, set your priorities on who is the most important to meet and what's most important to see. Get there early and be prepared to wait.
  10. Well, I'd have to say another good thing about DukesFest was meeting HazzardNet members. There were some familiar faces and some new. I wish I could've spent more time with you guys. That's part of the reason I was so grumpy. I wanted to see the concert and stunt show with my fellow HNetters. Maybe we should all show up at Brian's house sometime and have a HazzardNet get-together. Muahahahaha...
  11. Hey now, you can't blame the Deputy when the lock broke on this place. She's not a locksmith, ya know. LOL. Tho', she does know her way around a lock pick... The door was just barricaded for a few days until we got an expert in to secure the premises. =) And I accept SOMEONE'S apology. =) -M
  12. Except for the air conditioned building for the autograph lines and real restrooms, I thought last year's DukesFest was better. I might have a different opinion, however, if I had gotten to see the show on Saturday night or gotten decent seats at the stunt show on Sunday. That might've happened if SOMEONE had contacted me like they said they would after the autograph lines were done. Instead, I waited around at Jimmie's line both days until he left and Cathy was the last one left in the building. The only saving grace to this trip was that I met a great couple that I had a good time with and got to spend some time with some old friends (that incidentally I had met EXACTLY 10 years ago on June 5). I don't think I'll be back next year.
  13. Oh, and yes... I posted this from my phone.
  14. I just got a new Palm Treo 650 smartphone. Woohoo! Now I can access Hazzardnet wherever I go!
  15. ROFLMAO. I think you just wrote HNet's new theme song! Perhaps I'll create a new section for fan poetry and prose about HNet itself. Khee!
  16. What lyrics (doesn't have to be whole songs) remind you of characters or events in Hazzard County? ------------------------------------------- One day I looked into my rear view mirror And comin' up from behind There was a Georgia State policeman And a hundred dollar fine He looked me in the eye as he was writin' me up He said "Driver, you been flyin'. The ninety-five was the route you were on It was not the speed limit sign."
  17. Ding ding ding! We have a winner. Johnny, tell her what she's won!.... Johnny?.... Johnny? You there? Looks like Johnny made off with your prize. Sorry.
  18. I am a pool shootin' boy My name is Willie McCoy But at home they call me Slim I'm lookin' for the King of 42nd Street He's drivin' a drop top Cadillac Last week he took all my money And it may sound funny But I've come to get my money back.
