    Looks like you found them.

I'm not a huge fan of change, but I really like the more prominent use of the mid-blue in various places. I also see we're back to circular avatars, but I don't even mind them this time around. Thanks for keeping us up-to-date, MM.

I'm not a huge fan of change either and, believe me, I just about had a mini-coronary when I realized I'd have to do the theme from scratch. But, I think it turned out better (and easier) than last time. I like the mid-blue too. I wanted to break it up a little more than just orange and dark blue.

I think we could do with some sort of box around each post if that's possible. At the moment it's difficult to see where one post finishes and the next begins.

The only other thing I've noticed so far is that the HNet banner only seems to go about 3/4 of the way across the screen.

Everything else looks good. Thanks, MM.

Yeah, those are the 2 things I haven't been able to figure out yet, but I'm working on it.

  3. Just to follow up... I got the final pathology report from my procedure. It says "no neoplasm identified". I'm pretty sure that means I'm still cancer free. Yay! I have a follow up with my doc on the 23rd to go over everything. I have an echocardiogram coming up on Monday and I think after that, hopefully, that should be the last of the medical tests/procedures for the rest of the year.

My brother has had medical issues throughout his life, and had half been expecting to be told to stay at home and isolate. He never was, and has been working in a food store serving the public since lockdown started. Some of his colleagues are only just starting to return to work now.

I hope all goes well for you next month, MM.

Thanks. My oncologist is cautiously optimistic that I'm still cancer free.

Now we found out our niece has it too. We suspect a lot of family members did but they have all recovered from their cold-like symptoms so it looks like things are improving. My wife goes back to work tomorrow and I'm officially off quarantine tomorrow too but I'm still avoiding anybody else for another week just to be safe. Besides, I'm retired now and don't have to go anywhere. While things are improving for my family I feel the pain of other families that are just getting started. Keep us updated MM on your test.

I probably won't be tested until mid-August (my procedure's on the 20th). I'll let you know how it goes, though.

My wife is practically fully recovered but I've taken a turn for the worse. Last night I started to develop chest congestion and it got bad fast. My cough is only moderate but my chest is real heavy....just hoping to stay out of the hospital at this rate. I hope it doesn't get worse. This is day 7 and I only had mild chest congestion the first 2 days so I thought I had dodged that bullet but Covid is a real trickster. Chest congestion is the most dangerous part of this thing so the big challenge is here.

I'm sorry to hear your family has COVID-19, Roger. I've known a few others who've had it and they say that about a few days to a week in, you start to feel like you're getting better and then it just slams you. I hope you and your family get over it real soon.

Just about everyone in my family is at high risk due to diabetes and autoimmune diseases, so none of us have seen each other in months except through photos and phone calls. I have a procedure coming up next month to check if I'm still cancer free, so I have to get COVID-19 tested several days before the procedure.

  7. I remember when people used to give the benefit of the doubt, forgive someone's mistakes, and gave second chances. I sometimes give 5 or 6 chances, against my better judgement. I am not a fan of cancel culture. I call it The Church of the Perpetually Outraged. That's a difficult way to go through life. I just don't have the energy for it.

I just found out they arrested 5 people. There was some kind of drug deal gone bad and a girl got beat up in the middle of it all. I'm not sure where the guy who knocked on my door fit in. Usually the most excitement we get in my corner of the sticks involves animals.

I was listening to police band the night of my last post, when there was supposed to be even a larger crowd down the street. Seems some kid tried to sell a stolen gun to the security guard at the weed shop down the street. He said he wanted to kill a cop and get into a shoot out with them. The guard called the cops and they chased him down the main drag. They stopped him and recovered the gun without incident. Guess the kid really didn't want that after all. I forgot how interesting it was listening to police band. Last time I did that for an entire evening was back around when Dukes was still originally airing.

  9. The PD in my hometown in CA got word looters and rioters were planning to hit the mall 2 blocks from my parents' house. It's one of the largest malls in the US and just underwent a $280 million renovation. The PD blocked all entrances, exits, and streets around the mall with buses, garbage trucks, shipping containers, and wrecked cars. They had armored SWAT vehicles and fire trucks inside the perimeter. Seems the looters decided there wasn't anything worth looting there last night.

I'm a bit concerned. My best friend just moved there. He doesn't have a Charger though so I suspect he is fine

There's a little town a mile down the road from us that had trouble last night. Fights, a few shots fired (no one hit), large crowd. Business owners standing out in front of their businesses armed to the teeth. Larger crowds are expected today. County sheriffs are heading in to support and National Guard is on standby. Oof.

  11. I'm sorry to say, the law finally caught up to them Duke boys. Saw this while monitoring regional police activity because we had some looting and a small riot about a mile from our house.

Numbers still going up here in Pennsylvania. Think how happy everybody will be when this mess is over.

Word is, we're starting to flatten the curve here in Washington. I hope that continues and the rest of the country follows suit soon.

It's good to hear you're doing well Muffn' but I'd step up my hunt for another job, if I were you, because the place I used to work for, never replaced anybody, when they quit or got fired and they were out of business in just a few years. THAT'S why they never replaced anybody! They saw that their business wasn't doing well and they kept costs down and saved money by not hiring anybody. After a while, they had just a handful of ppl and then they just closed.

Well, you've probably done business with the company I work for (I'm a hardware engineer), they currently employ over 800,000 people (and hiring in other areas as fast as they can), and many people are ordering essentials through their website right now, so I doubt they'll close down. ;) I'm sure they'll eventually hire more people for my team, but not before more people leave with a lot of domain knowledge. Which is kind of ridiculous because the team I'm on tests all the hardware that the website and other company services runs on and is arguably the most important team in the company.

    How are you doing Muffin'?

We're ok here still so far. In our morning meeting for work (almost everybody except those with essential business in the office are working from home), someone mentioned that we're starting to flatten the curve here in Washington. Hopefully, the rest of the country will be following right behind us soon.

So far, I don't personally know anyone who has gotten COVID-19 (at least not a confirmed case, just suspected cases that they recovered from) and I hope it stays that way!

    Y'all stay safe and healthy.

Take a number and wait your place in line.

    Aww, shucks.

I've missed you guys, too. Work has been unbelievable lately. People leaving in droves and they're not hiring other folks to help and so our workload keeps increasing and our workforce keeps shrinking. A lot of people sick from stress. I'm looking for another job because I can't stand this much longer.
