  1. The Smurfs were a portrayal of communism which was the reason for smurfette portraying the communal woman.
  2. I had heard there was a steeple on the Boars Nest now. I wanted to see more of GA while going to Dukesfest 08 but we didn't have enough time.
  3. I do watch this show however it is a bit on the cheesy side, both my father in law and my son have a hard time with the car transforming into an F150 and we all wondered how it managed to get out of the ditch on that episode. There's just not much these days that the whole family can set down and watch.
  4. Welcome to the forum, which kind of correct are you building your General, a Georgia or Cali car?
  5. That's cool, I bought that same hat at the mall in 2005, the guy tried to sell me some stuff to spray on my hat to preserve it, I said that I was going to work in the garage with that hat and he thought I was crazy, that hat now has grease and oil stains all over it that way it's in true Cooter style.

    Welcome to the site!
  7. I appreciate that link, it had some good info on him, he will be missed for sure.
  8. That is funny,I seen that a couple of months ago on there.
  9. I also started watching it when it came out because of seeing that it had John in it and I just got into watching it.
  10. I googled it and there was a car show there for three days and James Best was there with his cruiser and they said there was a General Lee and Daisy's Jeep. I don't know if that's the same thing but that's what I turned up.
  11. I couldn't even finish watching it, I don't even know if I made it half way through, well I know I didn't. I borrowed the DVD from someone during my last deployment in Iraq and as hard up for entertainment as I was I could not watch it.
  12. I was there both days so I am sure I probably did see you onstage then.
  13. I just wanted to say hello. I found this forum today through google and after checking it out a bit I decided to register. Just a little about me my name is Mike and I am in the Army stationed out at Ft. Riley Kansas and am originally from outside Kansas City Missouri. I am married with three kids, two girls and one boy. This was our first year at Dukesfest and we all had a blast. I've never been able to go to one before due to deployments and training but I'm working in a non deployable job right now so it was nice to be able to actually plan a family vacation. I work on my Dukes memorabilia collection here and there when I got some money. Ok well didn't want to bore you too much just wanted to introduce myself before chiming in on post.
  14. This year was my first dukesfest, I'm in the military so it is hard for me to plan a family vacation but I am working in a non deployable unit for the time being so I took advantage of it and finally got to go. I hope that there is another one next year as that will be the last year I have in this unit (it's only a two year hitch) I did hear allot of talk of this being the last one though especially from people who had been to previous dukesfest. I am hoping that this was a ploy to draw more people and sell more merchandise.
