  1. Okay I have to disagree with you guys here, because I've never had the problem you've been having. When you go to facebook.com it'll ask you for a first and last name, an email or phone number, then a password, birthday, and then male/female. If you just used the name Roger Duke as your first and last it shouldn't be a problem. I have two accounts one under my real name and the other under Lizzy Jackson. My Lizzy Jackson account has never pressed me for a town, workplace, different name, or school or anything like that. Sure it asks me to update my information but all you do is click the close button on the notification window and it goes away.

Another possible inconsistency: Colonial City has a sheriff's department in S03E22: The Hack of Hazzard but i thought it was in Hazzard County so wouldn't that be Sheriff Coltrane's territory?

From what I understand most county cops don't have jurisdiction in cities with their own police force. Since Hazzard, the town, doesn't have it's own cops Rosco is the police enforcement for there as well but it could be different for colonial city. I know when I'm in Cincinnati that I don't have to worry too much about the county cops because Cinci has it's own police force. Though technically it's within their county they city police has first authority.

Where I live in a named town, which is more of a collection of streets than an actual town, when we had a traffic accident, the county cops came out but couldn't do anything until the State Highway Patrol got there. Besides it's not like Rosco can be everywhere at once. Most of the time if he wasn't chasing after the Dukes he was in town.

  3. If you click the new posts button at the top it should give you a page with a couple of sections on the left hand side. The first one: By content type tells you which kind of content you want: Forums, Members, Gallery, Pages, and Calendar.

And then if you click on one it'll give you either two or three more ways to sort the kind of new post you're looking for.

For me, I keep it set on Forums and New since my last visit. Try this and it may give you different results.

Perhaps the filters you have set there are no new posts since then.

  4. So for those of you that don't already know the Quicken Loans Race for Hero's 500 from Phoenix ended like this:

    http://www.nascar.com/en_us/sprint-cup-series/standings/results/2015/quicken-loans-race-for-heroes-500.html

Which left Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, and Martin Truex Jr. in the race for the championship.

They said he couldn't do it, most people find it unfair that he did do it, but in the end Kyle Busch overcame the Improbable odds and won the Championship.

The race for the chase championship results from Homestead-Miami raceway are posted here:

    http://www.nascar.com/en_us/sprint-cup-series/standings/results/2015/ford-ecoboost-400.html

As you can see Kyle won the race and the other three contenders landed Kevin Harvick in second, Jeff Gordon in 6th, and Martin Truex jr. in 12th.

  5. Okay back to Nascar. The first race of the eliminator round I only heard the last ten or so laps on the radio. However it was also a first. Well the first time Jeff Gordon won all year. All these commercials that I keep seeing keep saying one more start, one more race for him and I'm like he still has two more races before the end of the season but whatever.

Results for the Goody's Headache Relief Shot 500 from Martinsville are:

    http://www.nascar.com/en_us/sprint-cup-series/standings/results/2015/goodys-headache-relief-shot-500.html

The race from this past Sunday, I saw like the last 30 laps or so when Keslowski was out front and then with like ten or so to go Jimmy Johnson took over and took off so the 2 wasn't able to catch him. They had a running score card on the side of the screen showing the chase standings and with Keslowski in the lead Kyle Busch was in fourth with like one point above the cut line then Jimmy swoops in for the lead and Keslowski drops down to like sixth in chase standings and Kyle's up to second like 33 points ahead. It's amazing how fast that can change things.

Results for the AAA Texas 500 from (kinda redundant) Texas (if you couldn't guess that from the name):

    http://www.nascar.com/en_us/sprint-cup-series/standings/results/2015/aaa-texas-500.html

Next race, and the last in the Eliminator Round will be the Quicken Loans Race for Hero's 500 from Phoenix will be Sunday November 15th at 2:30 pm ET on NBC.

On a minor side note, I love racing as much as the next person but doesn't it seem that it's going longer into the year than usual?

  6. Results for the Kansas Race:

    http://espn.go.com/racing/raceresults/_/series/sprint/raceId/201510180039

    Results for today's CampingWorld.com 500 at Talladega:

    http://espn.go.com/racing/raceresults/_/series/sprint/raceId/201510250041

In other news Joey Logano won All three races for the contender round.

Moving on to the Eliminator round are:

    1) Joey Logano

    2) Kevin Harvick

    3) Martin Truex Jr.

    4) Jeff Gordon

    5) Brad Keslowski

    6) Carl Edwards

    7) Kurt Busch

    8) Kyle Busch

Next week it's on to the Goody's Headache Relief Shot 500 on Nov 1st, at 1:15 ET on NBCSN.

  7. So last night it just wouldn't stop raining in Charlotte so they postponed it to Sunday at Noon.

Pretty quiet day over all with mostly one car accidents bringing out the cautions.

Bad days for Jimmy Johnson and Matt Kenseth. Kenseth couldn't stay away from the wall and got into it hard a few times eventually taking it to the garage after leading over 100 laps at the beginning of the race. Johnson on the other hand broke his engine, though I wasn't quite sure how and lost an oil belt taking him out 60 or 70 laps to go.

Also hard day for Dale Jr. He was another one who couldn't stay away from the wall.

Jr hit the wall due to oil or fluids on in one of the corners which brought out the eighth caution of the day. During that caution the first two cars stayed out, the first car coming down to pit road was Kyle Busch. Then for some stupid reason Kyle Larson turns down at the last second and Kyle Busch turned back up onto the race track and the two got into each other spinning Larson around and causing a bit of damage to both cars. It looked like of Larson hadn't turned down or if Busch hadn't turned up their strategy would have worked but Larson was also right at the commitment cone and both hit the cone when they collided. Both served a penalty for hitting the cone and Busch served another one for being too fast entering the pits.

Sam Hornish Jr. lead for a while then gave up the lead with 34 laps to go to pit after staying out for more than 60 laps. He surrended the lead to Joey Logano who lead 227 laps.

Quiet day for Jeff Gordon just grinding away and staying out of trouble.

    Results:

    1. Joey Logano

    2. Kevin Harvick

    3. Martin Truex. Jr.

    4. Denny Hamlin

    5. Kurt Busch

    6. Carl Edwards

Next week it's on to Kansas City, Kansas for the Hollywood Casino 400 at 2:15 Et on Sunday October 18.

  8. Okay, time for another update.

    http://www.nascar.com/en_us/sprint-cup-series/standings/results/2015/AAA-400.html

This leaves Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin, Kevin Harvick, Joey Logano, Carl Edwards, Martin Truex Jr, Kurt Busch, Jeff Gordon, Brad Keselowski, Kyle Busch, Ryan Newman, Dale Earnhardt Jr all in for the contender round.

Jimmy Johnson, Jamie McMurray, Paul Menard, and Clint Bowyer were all knocked out of the chase.

Up next it's the Bank of America 500 from Charlotte on Saturday the 10 of October on NBC at 7 pm ET.

  9. There's an episode where Waylon says something about Bo being on the high school football team. I think they were training for something or other but I really have no clue. I was thinking it's in the episode where Luke fights Catfish but it's not since I just saw that one.

Am I making this up or was it actually in an episode?

  10. Okay time to update again.

    The Brickyard 400 from Indianapolis:

Pure Michigan 400 from Michigan (obviously):

    http://espn.go.com/racing/raceresults/_/series/sprint/raceId/201508160006

    And finally last week's race

Irwin Tools Night Race from Bristol:

    http://espn.go.com/racing/raceresults/_/series/sprint/raceId/201508220016

This weekend is off and next weekend they will be racing from Darlinton at 7 pm on September 6th Live on NBC. I find this very weird because September 6 is the day before labor day in the U.S. and there's nothing going on this weekend.

The chase standings as they sit with two races left until the contender round are according to Nascar.com and ESPN.com :

    1) Jimmy Johnson, 4 wins and 792 points

    2) Kyle Busch, 4 wins and 433 points

    3) Joey Logano, 3 wins and 865 points

    4) Matt Kenseth, 3 wins and 753 points

    5) Kevin Harvick, 2 wins and 908 points

    6) Dale Earnhardt Jr, 2 wins and 819 points

    7) Kurt Busch, 2 wins and 713 points

    8) Brad Keselowski, 1 win and 793 points

    9) Martin Truex Jr, 1 win and 771 points

    10) Denny Hamlin, 1 win and 712 points

    11) Carl Edwards, 1 win and 666 points (I was almost afraid to type that)

    12) Jamie McMurray, 0 wins and 696 points

    13) Ryan Newman, 0 wins and 683 points

    14) Paul Menard, 0 wins and 674 points

    15) Jeff Gordan, 0 wins and 672 points

    16) Clint Bowyer 0 wins and 655

The next back from that is Aric Almirola with 620 points.

Three big names out of the chase this year Greg Biffle (19th), Kasey Kahne (18th) and Tony Stewart (27th). However there are still two races until the contender round of the chase and any one of them could still win a race so we'll have to wait and see.

  11. But it wasn't his fault he had to sit out 1/3 of the races. It was Nascar's fault. If they had put safer barrier all around the race track it never would have happened. Yes I know he's taking a risk by getting behind the wheel but it's up to Nascar to make sure the tracks and the cars are as safe as they can be. Anywhere that a car traveling more than 100 miles per hour can hit a wall that wall should be reinforced to absorb most of the hit.

  12. Uh, well because no one else posted it here are the results for the New Hampshire 301

    http://espn.go.com/racing/raceresults/_/series/sprint/raceId/201507190010

Once again Kyle Busch won. That makes this fan very happy. For anyone keeping track he is currently 33rd in points and 58 points behind 30th in the standings. There are only 7 more races until the chase so he'll have to keep performing well to make it.

Next week (and I mean this coming Sunday) the 26th it's on to the Brickyard 400 from Indianapolis Speedway in Indiana once again on NBCSN at 3:30 Eastern.

  13. The Quaker State 400 from Kentucky under the lights.

For this race Nascar made a change to the rear spoiler and shortened the height. Drivers had been complaining that with the tall spoiler there was no downforce or grip when they were behind another car. With a shorter one there is more grip and drivers can use it to slingshot around.

The first caution at lap 19: the 98 of Josh Wise and the 23 of JJ Yeley got together and sent the 98 into the wall. Little bit of damage but nothing big. Since it was before the competition caution at lap 32 the cars that wanted to could come in and make adjustments and change tires but no fuel is allowed until the competition caution.

Lap 32 brings out Nascar's competition caution, the second caution of the night, so Nascar can look at the tires and see how they're wearing, which is a big thing with all the bumps in the track in turn one. Denny Hamlin caught speeding on pit road and was penalized so he went a lap down during this caution.

Third caution at lap 85 or so: 27 of Paul Menard hit the wall and Jimmy Johnson was having problems with the rear of his car and they were talking about adding some cross weight.

Lap 99: Kurt Busch slipped and got loose in the corner and spun himself around

Fifth caution: JJ Yeley bumped and rubbed against the wall causing debris to fly up a bit. Keslowski lost 9 positions on pit road under this caution from 1st to 10th because the front tire carrier tripped over his tire and took a tumble in front of the car. Once the jack dropped Keslowski started to go unable to see the tire carrier and bumped into him. Also because the tire only came loose when Brad bumped the man Nascar has not penalized him for a loose tire. Also during this caution Jamie McMurray was entering his pit box right in front of Jeff Gordon and bumped into the jackman from Jeff's team. Both men were unharmed due to the low rate of speed both cars were doing.

Sixth caution of the night: Dale Jr. smacked the wall and complained his breaks aren't working. The pedal was to the floor but the car wasn't slowing down. Side noet he was having trouble with his breaks all through the first part of the race, having forgotten to turn the break fans on. This keeps the breaks cool and keeps the break fluid from boiling and not working right.

Seventh caution a few laps later: it started with the 1 of Jamie McMurray bumps a little into the 14 of Tony Stewart and he gets out of the gas. That caused the 17 of Ricky Stenhouse to get into the 26 of Jeb Burton and then the 14 hits the wall as well as the 83 of Matt DiBenedetto.

Eighth caution yet a few more laps later: debris in turn four

and more debris in turn two this time for caution number nine

Caution 10 with 60 laps to go: Danica Patrick hits the wall and spins but was only one that spun some right side damage. Denny Hamlin won the race off pit road in front of Kyle Busch who has been leading the most laps so far.

11th and final caution of the night, once again 10 laps later: Kyle Larson cuts a left rear tire and touches the wall.

11 cautions breaks the previous record of 10 on that track

Not much to say about Jimmy Johnson or Jeff Gordon tonight except they ran a solid race in the middle of the pack.

Dale Jr. was plagued by brake problems all night while Keslowski was plagued by pit road problems all night but thanks to his fast car he more than makes up for it.

Kyle Busch lead the most laps tonight at  laps. He and Brad Keslowski were battling for the lead most of the beginning of the race. Then towards the end Kyle battled Joey Logano for the end. Other leaders include Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards, and Kyle Larson who lead from the pole thanks to a rained out Qualifying and having the fastest car in practice.

Also 4 of the top five cars (all but Joey Logano) are Joe Gibbs Racing teammates. The last time four teammates pulled this off was at Michigan in Aug of 08.

    1. Kyle Busch

    2. Joey Logano

    3. Denny Hamlin

    4. Carl Edwards

    5. Matt Kenseth

Next week it's on to Loudin, New Hampshire for the New Hampshire 301, Sunday July 19th at 1:30 on NBCSN.

If anyone wants to do this next week because by the time I get home it'll be over I'll appreciate it.

P.S. I don't know why that last one double posted.

P.P.S. I hate live streaming the race on NBCSN. Every time they go to commercial it just goes to a picture of their logo with a note that says "Programming will resume momentarily" with the same six or so lines of music, which after a while gets very annoying. Whose idea was it to give NBCSN the rights to broadcast the race? Why oh why couldn't they just broadcast it on NBC? It's like they don't want people to watch the race at all. Whoever's brilliant idea this was isn't so brilliant. The ONLY good part about this channel is that they only went to commercial during the cautions.

  14. So incase anyone was wondering (I guess we've all been slacking on this) here are links to the results from every race between the all star race and last week's race at Daytona.

  16. This is the crazy finnish they're talking about. My opinion, don't race the No. 3 car at Dayton. It happened shortly after 3 in the morning on the east coast.

  17. Anyone who followed the 2014 Nascar results and review thread last year will know I'm a huge fan of Kyle Busch and was majorly disappointed when he hit the wall in the Xfinity race and was sidelined. News came out today, nearly three months later, and confirmed that Kyle will return to racing starting May 16th for the All-Star race after being medically cleared.  This girl is excited, barring the fact that I'll miss the race for a Red's baseball game.

  18. So the Spongebob Squarepants 400 just ended and it was yet another plagued by rain.

The first 98 laps had a total of three cautions: I missed the first one, the second was a competition caution thrown by Nascar, and the third was a single car spin, after that the race was delayed by 2 hours and 16 minutes for rain.

The next four cautions, totaling nine in the whole race, were one to two cars spinning and bumping and hitting the wall. Nothing real major to report.

Martin Truex Jr lead the most laps tonight at 95 laps and speaking of laps lead, with 15 laps to go Kevin Harvick has lead 1,000 laps (plus a few more since he lead a few after that) this season, which hasn't been done since '95 when Jeff Gordon lead 1000 laps in the first 11 races.

Logano was penalized not once but twice in the pits, first for his gas man, who was going to make a chassis adjustment, jumping over the wall too earlier, and second for entering pit lane when it was closed. In the post race interview he said it was totally his fault. He thought it was open and didn't realize it wasn't.

Side note: Erik Jones made his first Sprint Cup start during this race (he's only 18 and was taking over the 18 car for Kyle Busch while he's still out with two injured feet) slammed the wall to bring out the seventh caution and apologized to the crew stating the car got out from under him and he lost control.

Next week it's the All-Star race in Charlotte, North Carolina starting at 7 p.m. eastern on Fox Sports 1. (I will be missing this race however, as long as it doesn't rain and delay it, due to going to see a late baseball game that starts at the same time.)

  19. I'm not injecting politics or anything else. The War Between the States, or The War For Southern Independance, was NOT about slavery and had nothing to do with slavery! A cursory look at the facts is all that's needed to see that!

Could you please expand upon this?

  20. Before the race, NASCAR said drivers were cheating or doing something with the tires (I thought I read something about drilling holes in them? But I am thinking that has to be wrong and I imagined that...can't imagine how drilling holes in the tires would help them out any) and had said they would punish drivers if caught. Well Ryan Newman has been caught tampering with his tires somehow...his crew chief has been suspended for several races, he has been docked like 75 driver points, and I am sure fines were handed out as well. I really don't understand why they would go out and tamper with the tires just after NASCAR warned them about it.

Drivers, or their crew, poke miniscule holes in their tires to do what is known as "bleeding". It allows air to slowly leak out improving grip and giving them an advantage. Ryan Newman was found guilty of this. His crew chief has been fined 125,000 and has been suspended for six races.

  21. UPDATE:

The Delaware Department of Justice issued a statement Thursday morning stating that they have cleared Kurt Busch and he will not face criminal charges in the alleged domestic abuse case. Nascar however has stated that they will not reinstate them until he completes their terms and conditions for reinstatement. They refused to tell the press what those conditions were just that Busch agreed to them and that there was no timetable for the end of these conditions. There is also no indication as to if he will return to the No. 41 car this year.

Busch on the other said he was glad to be cleared and that he had known since the beginning that the truth would come out in the end and he would be working with an expert to meet those terms and conditions.

  22. update: According to @AccessAllNascar on twitter as of about five minutes ago Kyle is out of surgery and in stable condition. Also it's a compound fracture of the right lower leg and a mid-foot fracture of his left foot in the accident. - See more at: http://www.catchfence.com/2015/sprintcup/02/21/statement-joe-gibbs-racing-regarding-injury-status-kyle-busch/?utm_campaign=twitter_tweet&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitter#sthash.MukWkaM0.dpuf

  23. You're right we don't agree and we probably never will. I don't like the fact that Jeff started the fight and what he called Brad on live tv. I thought he was better that. Everyone interprets events differently. I don't think Nascar should get involved and like I said I think had it been anyone but Brad people wouldn't come down so hard on that driver. They would have called it an accident and moved on. But because it's Brad Keslowski, who is 30 years old and has only been racing Nascar Sprint cup for SIX years. SIX compared to Jeff's 21 years in the Sprint Cup.

I'm not defending what Brad did, not really, he is a hot head, but I think a 20-year veteran in the sport should conduct himself better even when frustrated.

Personally I think it happened and that should be the end of it. We'll have to wait and see.
