Doctor said I got some bad news
the cancer has spread theres nothing more we can do
We prayed and then we headed home, We knew for months
there was something wrong,
It was getting harder for him to hold on
His year long battle was coming to and end
He knew that we were there for him, hard to imagine our lives with out him
Cuz we want to put our arms around his neck,
and look in his eyes so blue,
and say Honey we dont regret,
A single day we spent with you,
We want to tell him that we love him so,
and will until the day he dies,
It aint that we cant let him go,
We just want to say goodbye
His every breath is weaker than the last.
The doctors say that he’ll soon pass.
These last few months have come and gone away
Its heartbreaking to know that he can’t stay
We tell him stories about the life we've lived,
From the racing days to the old kicks,
We had tears in our eyes on the sunny day we held his hand and he said Goodbye
But, we want to put his arms around his neck,
and look in his eyes so blue,
and say Luke we wont forget,
a single day we spent with you,
We want to tell him that we love him so,
and will until the day he dies,
it aint that we can’t let him go,
