Hey y'all!
I Love my Truck! I have a Ford Bronco XLT. Although it is older ( I like to say it just has character!) and is a little rough looking, I just LOVE it! I also have a Chevy Blazer, I like driving that around town.
Chargers are great, and I love Pontiac TransAms. Esspecially Black. Yes, I am also a Knight Rider fan!
Does anyone have this problem: You just can't help it, when you see a nice looking vehicle your head turns!

That is cool! I have tried cross-stitching (if I am thinking of the right one!) a couple times, but I can never get it. They always look like I was doin' them in the middle of a tornado! I give you a lot of credit, I am sure they turn out really nice!!

I don't know, Julie, that is a good question. How old is John as compared to Mr. Foxworthy? I guess that I just figured John didn't go to college, just because he went on to do the Dukes of Hazzard after highschool, when he was 18. So, I appologize that I can't help you with that one. But, it would be funny if they did know eachother.
Roger, that sounds like my dad! I can see him doing that!!!! Can you even shoot dove? I guess I was thinking it was illegal. I don't know, but if you have to go out hunting for your lunch, piegeon is pretty good!

I am surprised that NBC is so proud of the Knight Rider show! I mean, I can see being proud of the original, but .... YUCK! I din't like the remake one bit!
Okay everyone, If you did like it, I apologize if I am getting carried away. I hope that you have a great time watching it! And that is great that you enjoyed it, but I still like the original better! KITT was funny, likeable, nice looking, etc... and the new kitt was (in my opinion) boring, almost creepy, at times disgusting, and he talked too much and acted too little!
Okay, I best try and calm down again! You all should get awards for having to listen to me whine about the new Knight Rider!

First off... I never thought I'd ever get to meet any of the cast members. That was so cool! He is such a nice, down to earth guy, and in some ways does remind me of the character, Cooter. I was delighted to hear that he still had the Cooter like accent!
We went a little early, so the line was relatively short. We only had to wait 5 or 10 minutes to get to actually talk to him and his wife. She, too, is a very sweet lady. I was laughing a little bit at Ben because he was talking to a couple in front of us who had a little baby girl. Ben was all excited and was going on about how cute the kid was, and saying he loved taking his picture with pretty girls like her, etc... and his wife saw me laughing a little because I was surprised that being a big actor, he would take the time to be so friendly. Well, she saw me enjoying that, and it looked like she started laughing a little, too.
My sister could barely compose herself in line. Her knees were a shaking, and I can only imagine how high her blood pressure went! She had to grab me just to stand!
Okay Roger... into the details, now!! We only talked a couple minutes. But he was saying that he was the one who made up the "Crazy Cooter CB Talk" and that he jotted it down on an old envelope, and that envelope is in some museum. But he signed my sister's 7th season of the Dukes DVDs and a General Lee shirt. He asked our names, and started singing a little bit with my sister's name in the song. (He actually sings pretty good!) Then he did his Crazy Cooter CB speech but inserted our names in it. "Breaker 1, Breaker 1 might be crazy but I ain't dumb, Crazy Cooter comin' at ya. Laura, Lindsay, Y'all home on the Hazzard Net? Come Back." That was AWESOME! Then we got to stand next to the General Lee and got our picture taken with Ben. While the picture was being taken, he said "Eat your heart out, Bo Duke" and laughed. After all that, he gave us a hug, gave a couple compliments, and off we went. That is when Laura stared crying because it was so special to her. I almost started crying because she was so happy! That was a great day!
Has anyone else ever met any of the cast members?
Oh, I know what you mean, Roger, Ben was saying how the Dukes really is a family show, and you can tell that he is proud to have been involved in that! I am really glad I got to go.

I drink strictly Apple Juice at the Boar's Nest, though I have to press the apples myself 'cause they only sell buttermilk! Oh yes, Roger, I did see Laura Duke pourin' a little Eggnog in her buttermilk. I will attest to that! I hope that you two didn't scare Christine away. It seems she left the post for awhile. I am sure you two did a thorough job of scarrin' her out of here! I apologize Christine, if you are anywhere to be found! Khee! Khee! Khee!

I will agree with you that no one can replace the originals, they cant even in my heart. They should have left the dukes alone after the two reunion movies...what was done was done, the dukes needed a rest. And yes Roger it is sad about what they have to put in movies these days just so the younger generation will watch it. It sickens me. But, like I said, I did find some good points and saw through to what the directors were trying to tell us with how the characters acted, etc, and to some of the epsiodes they referred to, or at least tried to refer to.
The original dukes, like you said Garrett, is an irreplaceable cast but at least the actors got to have fun being who everyone whos a duke fan has dreamed of being or being like. Whether we like the movie or not.
The only thing I really wish they wouldn't have done was made Jesse's character the way they did. I was so mad when I seen that I began cussing myself! That was not what a patriarch of a family should be like! Denver Pyle probably turned over in his grave.
I know Im making this post turn out to be a contradiction! or atleast sound like one! But Jesse and Rosco were really the only two characters I didn't like. And Cooter too, they really turned him into...well...I dunno what...but at least SOME characters knew what they were doing. I mean, I absolutely loath Jessica Simpson, but she did have Daisy's character, in my opinion, pretty much down. (minus the part where she's talking about rosco and boss trying to find the steele)
Well, Ive spoken my piece on it, heh.

I'll make you a deal. Let's see who can resist posting on this thread longest, you or me. If you accept, please post "I ACCEPT" and nothing else on your next post. As soon as I see you have typed that in, I won't post on this thread anymore. Maybe we can slow down the momentum of hard feelings that seems to be building.
This would set an example to everyone else that this thread has been overdone and should be put to rest. However, the bottom line is that the nature of a thread like this is to voice an opinion and if you and I boycott it with a personal contest, we'll have to accept that we can't change other people if they want to participate

How come when ever a person talks about liking the movie or has something positive to say about it, it always turns into a complaintfest? There are numerous threads where that has happened and most likely it will continue to happen. Why don't "those" people adhere to "Ignore it and it will go away...and if it doesn't, don't click on the thread" ?
Think what you want of me , I could care less. I don't start threads or post much on here because of this BS. I have a very proud member of Hazzardnet for a long, long time and will continue to do so. But when it comes to reading the same crap over and over it gets tiring when people start to post about how they hated it or it isn't Hazzard or what would Uncle Jesse think, blah blah blah...I don't care if anyone hatd the movie that is YOUR opinion.
Why do always have to start a new thread debating the movie? Like I said there are too many of these, at least that is my opinion. How many times can you "debate" and "respectfully" throw dislike to the movie?

I saw Laura Duke and Roger Duke in the same post and couldn't help but look at the post!
Thank You both for letting your true Duke side show. Although I agree (quite strongly, I might add) with both Laura Duke and Roger Duke, I hope that I don't offend either TXZ045 or bwgath when I say that I am not sure what you are seeing when you watch the Dukes, but that is not the type of thing I walk away with when I watch an episode of the Dukes. Anyway, I thought that this was for fans of Catherine Bach, not to post such degrading things about her or her wardrobe. I am sure that if she read that she would feel quite hurt and upset that this is what some of the fans are focusing on. If you have to focus so hard on Cathy, please focus on her nice smile and great personality!
