  1. Thank you Hobie. I read this on my phone and then forgot to post it on here. Pretty steep consequences, but at least they have all season to work themselves out of it. Who's the snitch though?
  2. Well race number two of the season and race number two of the season that I missed. Sorry to disappoint y'all. But it looks like a rough race for Chase Elliott, so maybe it was for the best. Starting at lap number three when Martin Truex Jr who hit Austin Dillon who collected several drivers including Chase Elliott. Of what it looks like, every time he raced towards the top ten, he'd get hit again. Sounds like an exciting race. Daniel Suerez won the Atlanta race. I'm including a link with the final results. Hopefully it shares the play by play as well on the side of the screen. I am sorry it's not very descriptive post about the race. Atlanta Motor Speedway Race Results, Lineup | Official Site Of NASCAR
  3. Back to NASCAR...we are racing at Chase Elliott's home track in Atlanta. Hopefully that'll bring him the luck he needs to find his way back to Victory Lane. I remember years ago when John Schneider gave the opening command there or sang the National Anthem or both. It's been awhile, but I was excited when it was him. This year's race will be Sunday at 3 ET on FOX. Also a couple of cars from Stewart - Haas Racing had parts taken for further inspection. Any penalties that may come from that will be handed out later. Here is the article. Parts confiscated from Stewart-Haas Racing's Nos. 10, 41 cars | NASCAR
  4. Thank you for the reminder, Hoss. I totally forgot about that.
  5. That commercial never gets old! He did another commercial like that to a guy who was criticizing him and that commercial and how real or fake it was. It was just as great. (You'll have to watch it on youtube by clicking on watch on youtube, I guess. LOL)
  6. Thank you, Roger. That means a lot to me. I saw a clip of Jeff Gordon walking in the infield area after the race and looking to go to Victory Lane. He looked so happy and excited. It was great to see.
  7. He retired a few years ago. He was a commentator on FOX for awhile before taking a bigger role at Hendrick Motorsports. Once Rick Hendrick retires and steps away, Jeff Gordon will take over Hendrick Motorsports.
  8. Well y'all beat me to it. I missed it as I was at work and then had my Zoom meeting after work. I am glad for the updates from y'all. I don't have access to record it. Sadly Chase didn't do it and Jimmie Johnson finished at the rear...but it was great to see the 24 car back in Victory Lane! I miss Jeff Gordon in the 24 car...always will. But Bryon is doing a great job keeping the 24 car up front.
  9. Today's Xfinity race had been postponed due to the weather and will race on Monday. Hopefully the Cup series will have better luck. Even though I won't be able to watch it either way. LOL Go Chase Go!
  10. You are right, Skipper.
  11. You are right. I am horrible at math.
  12. Well I do believe the stage has been set for the start of the 2024 Daytona 500! After forever...it's finally almost show time! Joey Logano got the pole position last weekend and they had the Duel races I believe yesterday. I missed it all, but Jimmie Johnson was able to race his way into the race while JJ Yeley will be missing the Daytona 500. Bluegreen Vacations Duel 1 at DAYTONA Race Results, Lineup | Official Site Of NASCAR Duel One results Bluegreen Vacations Duel 2 at DAYTONA Race Results, Lineup | Official Site Of NASCAR Duel Two results DAYTONA 500 Race Results, Lineup | Official Site Of NASCAR Daytona 500 starting line up Daytona 500 will be on February 18th at 2:30 ET on FOX. Sadly, I will miss it but will be keeping an eye on Chase Elliott as much as possible. February 18th will mark 22 years since Dale Earnhardt Sr passed away at the Daytona 500 race from a racing accident. I was never a Dale Sr fan or his aggressive style of racing, but that will be a day and race that I will probably always remember. I think that's the only race I watched that year. It rocked the NASCAR world for sure and it changed a lot of safety rules. The HANS device (The device that holds the helmet to the driver) was optional during that time (Dale Sr chose not to wear the HANS device) and it is now required that all drivers wear them. HANS device helps prevent the driver's head being thrown into the steering wheel or something like that. I remember being in school and doing a report on it after the accident. LOL (Everyone probably had no idea what I was talking about. HA)
  13. Thank you. I appreciate that. You all are the best. I had a hard day at work today and on my break they were playing a Toby Keith song and it almost made me cry. It just hits hard now that he's passed. But he's not suffering any more. He had an interview a few days or a week before he passed away saying that he was in a good spot with the Lord and it got iffy back a bit and that he was good with whatever happened. If he died or lived. It made me feel good hearing that (heard it before he passed away) but also does bring comfort knowing that he was OK with whatever happened and that he had a good relationship with the Lord like that.
  14. Now your playing baseball and NASCAR...sweet!
  15. Though, it's one that I like. Better is always good!
  16. Yes it is...since he can't have much of a worse one than last season. LOL. Great way to stay positive, Roger .
  17. Exactly how I feel...and have since the end of the 2023 NASCAR season. HA!
  18. Thank you Roger. He will always have a special place in my heart as will Denver and Waylon. I am sorry for your losses. You have some big losses close together. That's extremely hard and have been thinking of you. *HUGS*
