  3. From Yahoo! News - Tue, 20 Feb 2007 07:48:29 GMT Most GW graduates earning a degree in political science are more likely to aspire to take center stage at a debate than to take on the silver screen, yet 1999 alum Shane Morris has transferred his passion for politics into a big-screen career. Morris, who got his big break last summer by writing the prequel to the 2005 "Dukes of Hazzard" movie, started out at GW with a love for politics. More... 9. HazzardNet has its own MySpace page now, too. Feel free to add us to your friends or link to us in your profile. http://www.myspace.com/hazzardnet
  10. So, I ran across this little gem online tonight. What I wanna know is if they're Men Without Hats, how can they "Dress real neat from our hats to our feet"? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QZ6buZy6L4 We can dance, we can dance.. everybody look at your hands. So, how would you characterize the Safety Dance moves? Devo ballet?
  11. Now that we have a new forum and can do such neat things as add smilies and avatars easily, I'm putting out a call for folks to nominate and/or submit smilies and avatars for inclusion in our forums for everyone to use. One good place to find smilies is http://www.mazeguy.net. If you find one you like there, simply click on it, copy the code they provide in the box above the list of smilies and post it in this thread for us to take a look at. I am in the process of making some avatars for everyone to use. If you're graphically inclined, feel free to offer some of your own creations for others to use. Obviously, we don't want to go too overboard with smilies and avatars, so if there are a lot of good ones, we might have a poll to whittle it down to a manageable number. Have fun!
  12. Well, even though I've been around cyberHazzard forever, this forum looked very lonely without any posts. So I thought I'd get things started. Hi, I'm Meadowmufn and I'm a Dukeaholic. I own this place and run it with my good buddies MaryAnne and Brian. We're members of the Coltrane clan, so why this place is still in operating order is a mystery to anyone who knows us. Despite our best efforts to sabotage it, HazzardNet continues to thrive (and play tricks on us, I might add), leading us to suspect that it has become a sentient being in its own right. So, welcome. Sit yourself down and enjoy our little slice of cyberHazzard.
  13. Well, we COULD do that, but what other merchandise out there would you talk about cheat codes, strategies, and shtuff like that about? I think we'll leave things as is for a bit, let folks get used to the new forums. And then, well... who knows. We might consolidate. We might add more! MUAHAHAHAHA. LOL.
  14. We are imposing signature rules to improve the user experience on our boards. Some sigs are too large and cause viewing problems. Please edit your sigs to the pixel limits indicated in the control panel. Some sigs include links to external sites. If you want to include links to an external site, that's what the homepage field is for in your profile. Some users have been posting several useless messages that add very little to the discussions in order to get links to their site through their sig. This is considered spamming. Users who do this will have their sig disabled and unviewable in the forums. As a general rule, we do not allow links to external sites in the forums because we have had to deal with tons of spammers posting inappropriate links. This IS a family site and we HAVE been contacted in the past by upset parents whose kids have found inappropriate links in our forums. If you want your site reviewed and a link placed on our links page, contact us and we will be happy to review your site for placement. If you want to link to a cool DOH related video or content, or just something amusing that you think other folks will enjoy, please contact us and get approval first. If signature rules are not followed or inappropriate links are posted in the forums or in your profile, you will be banned. Thanks for your understanding and compliance.
  15. Sorry about that. Please try again. I made some changes to the avatar settings. Let me know if you are still unable to see the boxes to put the link or to upload your avatar.
  16. The method of setting your avatar has changed. After you login, choose UserCP->Edit Avatar and put the URL to your avatar or upload your avatar. I would suggest hosting your avatar remotely on Photobucket or a similar service cuz you never know if we'll accidentally delete the avatar folder. Things have been known to spontaneously combust around here. Just ask MaryAnne.
  17. We have updated the forums to new software. We've imported the old forums, but you'll all need to recreate your avatars. There was some sort of glitch with that operation. Sorry for any inconvenience. We hope you enjoy the new functionality! Please let us know if you encounter any problems with the new system.
