  1. Just as I had hoped, It says it will be avalible in both rated and unrated!
  2. I think WB's new program was inpired by uneversals Direct to DVD program. This is my take on this production. At one point WB realized that goofed up and started throwing around ideas for a good Dukes movie that is along lines of what many feel the 05 movie should have been. But there is a flaw in the slaw. Broken Lizard is under contract so its Broken lizard makes the movie or no movie at all. So all the plans for a good movie got thrown out the window and this is a last effort to make a quick buck while they still can
  3. Here's another piece on the next 'Dukes' movie taken from www.moviesonline.com. ************************************************************* Why would a prequel to the big screen version of a classically early-80s TV show have a chance to be better than the first movie? Maybe it's because "The Dukes of Hazzard" movie was not received well by fans of the old television show, nor did the former "Dukes" stars themselves appreciate it. Maybe it's because the reason the movie wasn't received well was because the characters fans still love were nothing like the characters they remember. Maybe it's because Johnny Knoxville and Seann William Scott aren't Tom Wopat and John Schneider any more than they are Luke and Bo Duke, and Jessica Simpson is certainly not Daisy. Granted the Jessica Simpson sexy Dukes Music Video was a smash hit, hmmm wonder why? If you're biggest problem with the big screen remake of "Dukes" goes to that last issue of haphazard casting, then you might have a reason to think a prequel would be better than the first attempt at a "Dukes" movie. A prequel is gearing up for a direct-to-DVD release, which is a bad sign in and of itself, but it seems that all of the roles (definitely all three Duke cousins) will be recast for this version. The movie will visit Bo and Luke as teenagers who defy Boss Hogg's attempt at imposing prohibition against moonshine as the young Duke boys blaze their way into Hazzard County to defy Boss Hogg and save Uncle Jesse's farm from foreclosure. Highlights will feature the origins of the General Lee and Daisy Duke's daisy dukes. Bob Berlinger of the critcally-acclaimed TV series "Arrested Development" will direct the prequel, and it is set to begin shooting in L.A. around mid-June. The director of the first movie also worked on "Arrested Development," but actor/writer/director of "Super Troopers" Jay Chandrasekhar might not have been the best choice to direct the "Dukes" movie. Released on August 5, 2005, "Dukes" made $80 million in domestic theaters with a production budget of approximately $50 million. The stars attached, such as Scott, Knoxville, Simpson and Burt Reynolds probably accounted for a good portion of the money involved in making the movie with their salaries alone, and it might be more of a gamble than Warner Brothers is willing to take to attempt a big screen prequel with the same actors. Whatever the reason, this could make the prequel a better endeavor by proxy, given the dissatisfaction of some fans with the casting choices for last year's "Dukes" film. *************************************************************
  4. I think it looks good so far. A "prequel" was the only way that they could pretend that the 05 movie never existed. I looked up the director and he looks to have some experiance with TV shows and if you where hoping for somthing more along the lines of the show I think you will get your wish. I faith in this film.
  5. So perhaps there is some truth to the "rumers". If there is another movie Jay won't direct it and it will have a new cast. What do they mean by Prquel? In the Dumber and Dumber movie it first was when they where adults, the prequel was when they met in high school. so somthing like that?
  6. This perticular site has rumors about sequels or remakes almost every hit classic TV show or movie LOL The latest rumor is Jessica Simpson to star in the big screen addoptation of Baywatch. The site also had a romor of her playing Lucy in the Dallas movie. http://www.themovieinsider.com/news/movie-rumors.php
  7. Yee Haaa It appears as if John is fighting the system the only way he knows how by making his own car movie inspired by what he feels the dukes movie should have been. Its being produced by his own production company. He plans to put it on the big screen!!!!! Its aready a big post on CFGLFC because one of the members chargers is being used in the production. Just go the the GL form and there will be thread with pics and info!!!!! http://www.cglfc.com/main_frame_cglfc.html John has info on his website http://www.johnschneider.tv/index.php John needs the support of his fans in order to stick it to Hollywood
  8. If you missed the the Hot Rod issue about the crate camaro a company now reproduces the body of a 69 camaro convertible(there going to come out with a 69 hard top along with other classics.) In other words you can now buy everything to build a brand new 69 comaro convertable from scratch. Yeah your probobly right, most charger owners would not sell their cars to the studios. From what the DVD extras said they just went on ebay and bought a bunch of chargers. I guess the production company could buy them and make it appear as if it was being sold to a private party. Personally, I think if WB was smart, with all the rumors that charger prices wher going to skyroket when the movie was released, that they would of aready bought a bunch of chargers to use for the sequel and put them in storage.
  9. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "First if they keep making sequels us fans wont have any more Dodge Chargers to buy for ourselves and that will also jack up the price of the already very expensive muscle car." Theres still thousands of chargers and besides even if they become scarce they will start making "crate chargers" . As for the cast I think they did well at playing the parts the way the director wanted them to, but truthfully some of the charactors had little or no resemblence twords the origanals. Boss and Rosco , wern't exactly Boss and Rosco. Uncle Jesse wasn't exactly a family patriarch eather.
  10. Heres another quote "Don Schisler told me a couple of weeks ago that the word in the "business" is that another 'Dukes' film has definately been given a greenlight, but it will more than likely be a couple of years away. He said that they're wanting the 2005 movie to become a faint memory before releasing another film. He did say that he's heard that the next film will be cast far better than the '05 film was and will be closer to what the series was...family entertainment."
  11. found this on the hazzard retreat: Hi everybody. I just wanted to pass along some information that I received on Sunday after speaking with Mr. Don Schisler, the in charge of the first General Lees ever built for 'The Dukes of Hazzard'. Without me asking him about the possiblity of another 'Dukes' movie, he said, "I don't know if you've heard, but there's definately another movie in the works. Although it's probably a couple of years away, I've heard that they're going to do it right this time as far as the casting and and story goes." I know that rumors about the possiblity of another 'Dukes' feature film have posted on various websites, but Don Schisler, who still works in the film and television industry with his son, is really the the first person in the business that I've heard mention the possiblity of another movie
  12. Im willing to bet that the Super Trupers director is the one and only director that would cast Burt Rendolds as Boss Hogg. Burt was good as a much more serious charachtor, but it wasn't Boss Hogg.
  13. It has ms piggy singing "Thees boots are made for walking" At the end it shows Jessica Simpson sitting at a table Jessica says "and I thought I was the Pop star" Miss piggy replies "you wish". LOL
  14. Off topic but oh well http://funnieststuff.net/viewmovie.aspx?ad_key=QYUPVJBQFMBH&tracking_id=528882&type=wmv&path=/t/thereallifesimpsons/thereallifesimpsons.wmv I heard a rumor that there going to make a simpsons movie but it will be a carton
  15. Does anyone know when we can expect WB to release an anoucement about a sequel ? or does it just depend on weather they can get the casting issues resolved
