  1. Hey y'all! My name is Tom, I'm 21 and I live in Johnstown, PA. I work for a contractor and do all kinds of construction work. I've been a member here on the Hazzardnet forums for a little over a year now. I've been a big fan of the Dukes ever since I first watched them, when CMT put the show back into syndication. I was hooked from the first time! I have all 7 seasons on DVD....I ain't real big on collecting merchandise from the show, even though I do have a few things, and I would buy more if I see the right things or something that is a really nice collectible. And I kind of have the Dukes of Hazzard and Hazzardnet and these forums to thank for meeting the love of my life. It was over a year ago, when I met my girlfriend/fiancee' Desiree by accident, on the Hnet forums. After talking online and exchanging pictures, and then calling each other we fell in love instantly. After a while, we planned to meet, with our parents, to make it safe and it only got better from there after. Now we live together, and we couldn't be happier. We'll never forget how we met, because of the Dukes and these forums, it was truly a miracle and meant to be. But anyways, I always look forward to talking to new Dukes fans, so feel free to PM me, or IM me, just as long as you TALK and I'm not making all the conversation! Later, y'all! (Please keep in mind, I'm not encouraging everyone to use these forums as a dating service. What happened to me, was purely fate and by accident!)
  2. It would be awesome to be a Duke cousin, and live and work on the Duke farm. Not to mention to get to drive the General Lee! Yeehaw!
  3. That's awesome! Me and my girlfriend are looking into getting a dog in the spring or summer....that would be great if we got a basset hound and named it Flash! lol
  4. You know, I always wondered about the Duke's clothes and the reason why they rarely changed. Was it because so much of the budget went towards the car stunts, that they had to spare the Dukes a bigger wardrobe? Or was it intentional, to make the Duke's appear to be poor?
  5. Season 7 is a great season. It is probably the worst of all of them, but it's still a great season. You could tell that some of the story lines were kind of corny and that the writer's were running out of idea's. For example, "The Dukes In Hollywood". That one really didn't fit in too well in my opinion. And by far, the two worst episodes of the Dukes EVER, are "Robot P. Coltrane" and "Strange Visitor To Hazzard". I mean, what the hell were the writers thinking? But other than that I enjoyed most of the season. One of my favorite's are in it...."Happy Birthday, General Lee", it tells the backstory of the General!
  6. I know the CB in the General Lee was a Cobra for sure. I just can't remember the model. It was like x87 or something.....I'm not sure.
  7. I always wondered about this, too. Terry Lee's voice definitely doesn't sound like a little boy. It sounds like a woman, trying to sound like a little boy. Maybe they did dub over the boy's voice. The only thing's I could think of is that he was the only kid actor they could get at the time and they didn't like the way his voice sounded, or didn't think it sounded young enough for the character he was portraying. So possibly, they had to record over it. Maybe he was older than he appeared to be. That would be a question to ask John, Tom, or Cathy. They might know.
  8. You're right. The car is a Plymouth Roadrunner, but I'm not sure if it's the same year as Daisy's was.
  9. No, I think the brown-haired girl's name was Sam, and the blonde was Tinker, but I could be wrong.
  10. You're right. The episode is "Days of Shine & Roses." And yes, it is a blooper. It's in the part where Bo and Luke are tailing Rosco during the race, and they're trying to stop him from making Jesse lose the race. I forget which part it is exactly, but I know it shows Bo in the General from a front view, and you can see Luke fall into the passenger seat and just finish slamming the door shut. Just barely!
  11. This is definitely one of the best episode of the Dukes! For a show like the Dukes, that was kind of humorous, this episode had a lot of emotion in it, and it actually was sad, in a way, because the actors made the death of Bo and Luke so believable. The scene where Rosco delivered the bad news to Uncle Jesse....it was pretty darn sad. And I'm a guy! lol The best scene out of the whole show, was when Bo and Luke scared Rosco with the "ghost" of the General. That was awesome! And, of course, Boss was up to no good like usual, blaming the boys for stealing his watch! This episode was Dukes, at it's best!
  12. I believe the longest jump was over the river in Double Sting, and the highest was onver the train in Granny Annie.
  13. I think one of Luke's funniest quotes is: from Luke's Love Story: Amy Kreevy: Let me show you what the opposite sex can do. Luke: Oh, I know what the opposite sex can do, I just do think a car is the proper place to do it!

  18. The General drifted around Hazzard Park and Bo cut sideways in front of Cooter's garage, screeching the General to a halt. All three cousins climbed out and approached Cooter who was working under the hood of an Impala. "Hey y'all! What's a shakin?! Y'all look like ya just saw a ghost.." Cooter stated. "It ain't what we saw, but what we didn't see, Cooter!" Luke said. "What are y'all talkin about?" asked Cooter. "Uncle Jesse's missing!!" Bo exclaimed, "Have you seen or heard anything of him today?" Cooter lifted his greasy ball cap, and scratched his head, looking shocked as well,"I reckon I saw him pass right in front of mah garage just as the sun was a peekin out, and I was lookin out that there window, wakin up. He was really high tailin it outta here, looked real concerned bout somethin." "Which way did he go?" Luke asked. "South, headin outta Hazzard," Cooter said. "Let's go.....as far as we can.....we can't leave Hazzard County" Luke yelled. Bo, Luke, and Daisy, hopped in the General, and burnt rubber pulling out of Cooter's garage, followed closely, by Cooter in his yellow tow truck. They all headed off in the same direction as Jesse did earlier that morning. "I can't imagine why Uncle Jesse would take off like that, without leavin word about nothin..." Cooter pondered over the CB. "It's buggin all of us, it could be somethin bad....either way, we gotta find out, if we're lucky, we'll pick up on his trail soon, up ahead," Luke said into the mic. Balladeer: Y'all reckon they'll even find a trace of Jesse? Balladeer: In the meantime, Jesse was makin his way through Hatchapee County, to the joint where he agreed to meet up with his ol' ridgerunner pal, Popcorn Pete....
  19. Balladeer: It was one of them beautiful Hazzard mornings, so quiet, a fella could sit and listen to his hair grow, other than the usual barnyard noises, and a sunrise soo purdy, it'd almost bring a tear to your eye. Bo, Luke, & Daisy are juust wakin up, hopin to get some of Jesse's famous bacon & grits. As Bo, Luke, & Daisy walked out of their rooms and approached the kitchen, still in there night attire, all three cousins' mouths' dropped simultaneously. There wasn't the slightest hint of an aroma, from their Uncle Jesse's country cooking. The three cousins burst into the kitchen, to find it with no Jesse, no breakfast, and even worse, no note. "Where do y'all reckon he's at?!" Bo pondered. "Uncle Jesse?!! Uncle Jesse?!" Luke hollered as he walked from room to room, searching. Daisy ran to the CB, while Bo ran outside, so worried, he forgot he had no boots or shirt on. "Jesse?! Hey, Uncle Jesse??!" Bo shouted, standing in front of the screened in porch of the Duke home. No reply. No truck, either! Bo noticed as he looked to where the old, white, pick-up truck was parked last night. Meanwhile, Luke kept searching the house, while Daisy got on the CB. "Shepherd, this is Bo Peep. Do ya copy? Bo Peep to Shepherd, can ya hear me?!" The worry started to echo in Daisy's voice, as she repeated her call on every channel. Bo searched the barn and even hopped in Dixie, and checked the back 40. "Uncle Jesse?!! Can ya hear me?!" Bo shouted the whole time, his voice starting to get hoarse. All three cousins regrouped in the kitchen after their searches. "Where in tarnations could he be?" Luke asked Bo and Daisy. "I dunno, Luke, but it ain't like Jesse to leave without sayin somethin ahead of time, or leavin a note. There ain't no sign of him or his truck anywhere! Nothin on the CB, Daisy?" "As quiet as a barn durin feedin time," Daisy started to sniffle. "I don't like this one bit. I got a hankerin somethin's up. Let's head to town and check with Cooter, an see if'n he knows anything or saw Jesse," Luke stated, concerned. The three cousins got dressed in a flash, and faster than greased lightning, they were in the General Lee, tearing up the dirt roads, drifting around every curve, speeding toward Hazzard Square.......... Balladeer: Now, y'all realize, Jesse Duke is the most honest, an trusted man in all of Hazzard, he'd never do nothin, without bein honest about it, but sometimes, when ya know your grits are gonna be lumpy, it's best to close yer mouth and chew. Where could Uncle Jesse have gone? What could be so important, he wouldn't even tell his nephew's and niece about? Not even leave a note? What is he being so secretive about? (Cue: Anyone who dares)
  20. OK, I might be stupid, but I was just wonderin, how do you get to the courthouse after the Picnic Persuasion level? Where you play as Luke and drive Enos' patrol car...maybe there's some road I'm missin, but I'm havin no luck findin it....any help would be greatly appreciated!
  21. I think your story is great! You could've written better scripts for the Dukes of Hazzard than the writers did in season 7! LOL You have the makings of a great writer...
  22. I was just curious, maybe one of yins out there knows, how come John has 20 General Lee's? I mean, I could understand maybe 2 or 3, but 20? Don't get me wrong, I think John is awesome and the General Lee is my favorite car of all-time, but I was just wonderin about it.
  23. I saw the movie on August 5 when it first came out, I was skeptical about it, but the only reason I really went to go see it was because I had the free movie ticket from the Dukes' Season 3 DVD set. I didn't think the movie was terrible, but I didn't think it was anything special, either. Just average. The acting by Johnny Knoxville & Sean William Scott wasn't too bad, but I thought their southern accents sounded way to fake & overdone. Jessica Simpsons' accent just sounded ridiculous. I understand they tried to modernize it a little bit, but I didn't care for how they portrayed the characters. None of the characters really seemed to have even some of the same traits as the original. It was atrocious how they had Willie Nelson portray Uncle Jesse! Uncle Jesse was the father-figure, the family patriarch! The man you could always trust & turn to for good, wise advice. Willie made him out to be a pot-smokin, poor joke tellin, dirty mouthed, hippie. What a disgrace to Denver Pyle. And Daisy, Jessica kinda portrayed Daisy as a dits and as some kind of stripper. The original Daisy Duke/Cathy Bach was very smart and didn't have to take her clothes off to defend herself. True, in the first episode of Duke's 'One Armed Bandits' Daisy wears a bikini, but she doesn't try to seduce Enos on his desk to get information out of him. Overall, I just didn't think the movie had the feel of a Dukes episode. Most of the elements were there, but the magic of the original was missing. They had a balladeer, the characters, the General Lee, but it was lacking somethin. I also didn't care for the profanity or the drug-related humor. Again, I understand they tried to make this movie for 2005 not 1979, but that's a slap in the face to the original, the original Dukes of Hazzard was a family-oriented show. Now, it was cool to see the General Lee again, but I didn't even think the car stunts were all that impressive. They did more spectacular car stunts in one episode of the original show than they did in this entire movie! Overall, I thought the movie was OK and enjoyable, but I probably won't be seeing it again or buyin it on DVD.
