Then there's that...I agree 100% on this. Well I guess we can't all be right. LOL. I remember Denny's first season in Sprint. He won both races at Pocono. "The Tricky Triangle" LOL. He just better leave Chase and the rest of the Hendrick boys alone. Go pick on Kyle Busch instead...4 points -

Finally started to feel good physically but had a hard emotional hit today. I turned 64 (7 days after Bo turned 64) and it hit me that I will never again get a birthday call from my daughter. I'm sure when Father's Day comes around I'll get knocked down again since she was my only child.3 points

Find something that makes you a pretty good chunk monthly for a part time job. DO NOT touch this and invest it after you have 3-6 months of your expenses in an emergency fund. from '90-2000 I made enough to pay cash for a 3 bed room 2 bathroom house and the taxes etc. When the smoke cleared I had all the money I started with plus $10,000 of my interest UNTOUCHED! I'm talking to you now in a house that was basically " Free"....I paid for it with interest and stil had " MY" money AND the 10 thousand left of interest! It took 10 HARD years though!3 points -

That is a great idea. Though I live in an apartment so it has to be monthly. I use to have a part time job and still struggled, but gave that one up when I started take college classes as it would be too much.3 points -

The Key is; 1. BE PATIENT! 2.BE DISCIPLINED 3. Design your budget to where you are able to save and invest a good sized chunk of money every week/month. This might HAVE TO include a part time job that you save 100% of your check. while living off what you make now. 5-10 yrs. from now you should have enough to pay cash for a house, cars etc. Also, once you have a car paid for, keep saving in a " Car Fund" ( a well hidden envelope) and when you have $1,000 saved put it in its own account in the bank. Then continue until you have 8- 10 thousand, then put that with what they give you for your car. It should work for a used car'!3 points -

Well as much as I would love the 24 car back in the championship ring and I do really like Byron. He's a clean and great driver and he's off to a great year...I really hope Chase Elliott starts visiting Victory Lane more often and to earn his second championship. Though if Chase can't do it...I'd want Byron.3 points -

Well...I am keeping up with my failed NASCAR fandom of 2024 and have yet to watch a race this year. They raced at Martinsville where the winner takes up the big grandfather clock. It marks the 40th anniversary for Hendrick Motorsports. Sadly Mr. H (Rick Hendrick) missed it after having knee surgery. Though his team pulled through as William Byron won, Kyle Larson came in second, and Chase Elliott finished third. Giving Hendrick the top three finishing spots of the race. Well y'all car 24 was back in Victory Lane after today's COTA road race. Too bad Jeff Gordon wasn't driving it. He use to be known as the road race king as he was good at them. But so is William Byron, who now drives the 24 car for Hendrick. Still great to see 24 car in Victory Lane. (Though I was hoping for the 9 car. Elliott needs to figure something out...LOL) William Byron bulls his way to dominant Cup Series victory at COTA (nascar.com) Circuit of The Americas Race Results, Lineup | Official Site Of NASCAR3 points -

I heard that tires were an issue at Bristol. Which is frustrating for everyone and it affects the driver's season and points. As someone pointed out that I saw...what if this were a Chase race or an elimination race and it all came down to tires? I really miss the old way of racing where it was about talent and the drivers and teams. I feel NASCAR has to put it's hands on everything now to take away from the driving and the mechanics...the Chase and the segments for example. Let it be about the racing as it use to be...3 points -

You can buy episodes or seasons on Amazon prime, VUDU, or Apple TV+. But it would be far cheaper to pick up the complete series on DVD and get a good upscaling Blu-ray player that will convert the SD format to HD.2 points -

Thank you for the congratulations, but I still have a year of car payments left unless I find money laying around. I wish I could just pay it off and be done with it (the payments. Not the car.. Dukes Meet Bill Elliott
RogerDuke and one other reacted to Garrett Duke for a topic
Staring at the bumper of the sheriff's car that lies a mile or so ahead of them, Garrett quietly tries to think of what they are doing by following the sheriff. How are they to follow him without being caught? Especially in Roy's old beat up ugly truck. What will they do when they find out where Sheriff Coltrane is going? "Dang it Roy," Garrett breaks through the silence of the truck, "this is the dumbest idea you've ever had. I mean, what made you think of following the sheriff? What you gonna do when he stops?" Roy look crazily over at Garrett before looking back at the road. "The dumbest idea I've had? What was I thinking?" Roy raises his voice, "My golden memory recalls all this being your bright idea, hotshot. The only dumb thing I did, was to listen to you and to do as you told me to do." "I know, I know," Garrett rolls his hard eyes at him, "it just sounds better saying it was your idea. Not mine." Garrett goes silent as he lights another cigarette, "What are we going to do when we find out where the sheriff is going? How are we going to find Bill and Ernie?" Roy shrugs behind the wheel as he waves his hand to wave off smoke. "I don't know. You tell me, boy genius. It all was your idea," he states, "though I do know, that I told you not to light those dumb things in my truck. They're horrible." Garrett eyes him hardly before sucking it on it once again before smashing it out and taking care of it. "I didn't realize you were so sensitive," Garrett rudely responds before falling silent once more. "Well...it is my truck," Roy disputes, "and I am doing you a huge favor by rescuing you from your hiding place and following your bright idea to stalk the sheriff. I guess I always did look good in jail house orange." Garrett shakes his head before his attention is grabbed by the sheriff turning off the road and onto a lesser-known back road and he quickly sits up in his seat. "OK now we are getting somewhere, Roy!" he points at Rosco, "That there road leads to a dead end and to those caves. I think I heard your buddies talk about that being Hogg's hiding place!" "Ah! Maybe that's where Bill and Ernie are at!" Roy naively states. "Ernie and Bill disappeared with Bo and Luke," Garrett states, "why would they take him to Hogg's hiding place?" he shakes his head. "I don't know. I don't know anything at this point," Roy answers. "What you want me to do now?" "We can't follow him. We'd be made for sure," Garrett responds, "Just keep going. They're probably going to have some pow wow of what they want to do now that they can't find Bill and Ernie." "Hmmm. Too bad we can't listen in to that conversation," Roy states before going quiet and turns to Garrett, "you'd earn top respect from your brother for that kind of information." Garrett stares at him. "I don't care for his respect or anyone's. I've already spent a night in jail over all of this. No way am I spying in on their crooked law...who already hate me enough as it is," Garrett states, "but we do know where they are at for the moment. Maybe they'd care to know that." "But how you plan on doing that? In case you forgot," Roy pauses, "your family kidnapped Bill and Ernie and are no where to be found. You'd think they'd let you in on their surprise of not showing up at the Boar's Nest as it was planned." Garrett grunts. "They don't care," he states watching the trees go by his window, "I am sure they are hiding at one of their hiding places and talking about their own plans to get Bill and Ernie out of this mess." Roy nods quietly before leaning over and grabbing the CB handle from the dash of his truck. "What are you doing?" Garrett questions. "What we should have done from the get-go instead of listening to you," Roy rolls his eyes at Garrett and switches the channel and then pushing the button on the side of the black CB handle, Roy says, "This is Roy Silas. Anyone out there on the Duke net?" Garrett eyes him as he places the handle down and Roy grins at him. "Now we wait," Roy responds as he turns onto another road and Garrett looks out his window and they await to see if they get a reply in silence.2 points -
