  1. Thanks for posting this Skipper. These folks are all like family and whenever we lose one it hurts a lot.....especially if you are personal friends with him like Meadowmfn was. I miss him.

William Byron bookended Martinsville winning both the trucks race Thursday night and the cup race last night so he got two clocks this weekend. It looked like Chase Elliott was going to dominate as he led from the 1st lap till the end of stage 2 winning both stages. William Byron's pit crew got him out ahead of Chase after the stage 2 end pit stop and he led till the end of the race. Top 10 1 William Byron 2 Joey Logano 3 Austin Dillon 4 Ryan Blaney 5 Ross Chastain 6 Kurt Busch 7 Kyle Busch 8 Aric Almirola 9 Chase Briscoe 10 Chase Elliott The Xfinity race was the most exciting of the weekend ending with a fist fight in pit lane. Joe Gibbs grandson Ty was driving like a jack*** the whole race and at the end was moved to the outside by his teammate Brandon Jones, who went on to win the race, and Landon Cassil went to the inside of Sam Mayer in turn 3 and pushed him into Ty. Ty didn't realize it and decided to take his tantrum out on Sam Mayer. Ty hit him on the track after the race and followed him into the pits and confronted him with his helmet on threw punches after Sam took his helmet off. Both had a long talking too in the Nascar trailer.

Not to worry, Spike, thanks for keeping us updated. There are more and more names I don't recognize in the results - I'll have to try and catch a race again sometime. I was up early this morning (6am local time) to watch the Australian Grand Prix - the first to be held there since 2019. Ferrari's Charles Leclerc snatched pole position yesterday ahead of the two Red Bulls. His team mate, Carlos Sainz Jr., got caught out by a red flag and only qualified 9th. Mercedes still haven't got a handle on their new car, but Lewis Hamilton and George Russell qualified 5th and 6th behind the McLaren of Lando Norris. In the race, Carlos Sainz Jr. had a bad start and then beached his car in the gravel after only one lap. Both Mercedes cars made up places at the start, but it was Charles Leclerc's Ferrari and Max Verstappen's Red Bull that led the way for most of the race. George Russell managed to leapfrog Lewis Hamilton by pitting under a safety car. Towards the end, Max Verstappen had another mechanical failure, which means that he's had two DNFs in three races. Maybe it's karma for the way he won last year's championship! The top 10 were: 1 Charles Leclerc Ferrari 2 Sergio Perez Red Bull 3 George Russell Mercedes 4 Lewis Hamilton Mercedes 5 Lando Norris McLaren 6 Daniel Ricciardo McLaren 7 Esteban Ocon Alpine 8 Valtteri Bottas Alfa Romeo 9 Pierre Gasly AlphaTauri 10 Alex Albon Williams That's three British drivers in the top 5, a good double points finish for McLaren, and the first point of the year for Williams. You can watch the race highlights here.

Sorry I haven't gotten around to posting race reviews been really busy helping out at the wife's work catching up on back orders the past few weeks. Ross Chastain showed that he was a good student when he was AJ Allmendinger's teammate at Kaulig Racing. He pulled out the win at COTA after some chrome horn bumping between the two of them and led the most laps. Top 10 1 Ross Chastain 2 Alex Bowman 3 Christopher Bell 4 Chase Elliott 5 Tyler Reddick 6 Ryan Blaney 7 Martin Truex Jr 8 Austin Cindric 9 Erik Jones 10 Austin Cindric
