    Hazzard License Plates

My old profile DB_537 doesn't work anymore so I had to register again. Probably because I didn't post for years. Some of you might remember me from CGLFC when it was still up. I've been working on replicas of the different prop license plates from the Dukes for a long time. At least 8 years. I have got the process perfected and found enough reference to make an accurate replica of any license plates seen on the show. I have a bunch of old prop plates from Earl Hays Press, which was the prop house used to make the plates, newspapers, sheriff car decals, and all printed paper props and labels for the show. The plates in my collection have the same style of lettering as the Dukes plates at exactly the same scale. I copied them to make some screen accurate vector graphics and cut the finished designs from vinyl. These are made in a similar way to the originals. The flat plates are primered and painted. The graphics are cut and applied to a flat license plate with a raised border. The plates are then clear coated to protect the finish. I'm looking to sell some of these to help cover some personal expenses. I can make any custom plate/number in either Dukes of Hazzard style or any other style of tv/movie prop license plate. I've got lots of reference material for many different styles of plates. I just made an A-Team van plate with one of the less common numbers, and a Buford T. Justice plate from Smokey and the Bandit. I could also make a motorcycle plate if enough people wanted one. Selling them for $30 each with free priority shipping anywhere in the US. To ensure that the plate you want is the plate you get, I will make and finish the plates prior to accepting payment if I can get a solid commitment that you intend to buy. Thanks for looking. Daniel B. Season 2 General Lee plate. I have some custom professionally printed vinyl adhesive decals for the 1978 and 79 registration decals. For the other years 1980-82, I have standard decals. Hazzard License Plates

New cutting dies for the red border pinstripe pieces have arrived. I have removed the old pieces that did not fit well on these Boss & Rosco plates, and have updated them with the new details. The curved corners are now a part of the cut, and no longer made with straight pieces that have to be bent/creased to fit. These are now almost perfect copies of the vintage original prop plates from the 1980s. The paint is a custom matched color that is not available in stores, and I have also been able to verify that the clear coat is the exact same type that was used by the prop makers for the show. Photo of my updated Boss & Rosco Plates I have set up a new Etsy shop where my Hazzard plates and other props will be available. My shop has screen-accurate replicas of the Rosco poster from One Armed Bandits, the full-size set of screen-accurate Hazzard County Sheriff car vinyl decals, and high-quality vinyl replicas of every license plate year registration sticker as seen in the show. I will be adding options for custom plates in the near future. I can currently make accurate Hazzard replica plates for any vehicle seen in the show. I have cutting dies for all numbers and every letter except for K, M, Q, V, X, and Z. (Those will be available later this year.) Original 1980s prop blanks are available, but they are hard to get, so they cost more due to their scarcity. I also have modern flat plate blanks with stamped borders, and a limited number of flat plastic blanks. For the red plates, I have dies for 'GOVT', Hazzard County, Chickasaw County, Capitol City, and Atlanta. I also have all of these options plus Savannah as printed clear vinyl decals for the later type green plates, and red HAZZARD decals for season 1 plates. https://www.etsy.com/shop/HazzardCountyProps

  4. Someone just posted in a Facebook group forum of Dukes. "What is your favorite Uncle Jesse quote? I'll start." "I ain't your Uncle Jesse!" I commented "Careful with your post. Some things he THE character said might go AGAINST standards and get you the brig." Brig= Facebook Jail if it's something Facebook doesn't agree with.

Here's a link to photos of the Boss & Rosco plates I recently made. Boss & Rosco Plates I now have all of the steel dies needed to make the plate numbers for the main characters and many of the others also. I have all of the numbers and most of the alphabet in that style except for a few of the less common letters.
