The Charlotte Roval race was another exciting one yesterday. Chase Elliott was having a great run, winning Stage 1 and 2nd in Stage 2, until Kevin Harvick decided to use the bumper which knocked Chase's car backwards into the wall. The #9 team was able to fix the car to keep Chase running and boy did he. He was laying laps down that were as good as the leader's. A few more cautions and he was running back up into the teens. He was about to catch Kevin Harvick in turn 1 but Kevin psyched himself out and braked too late and hit the wall hard enough to take himself out of the race. It looked like Denny Hamlin was going to win the race but Kyle Larson got a great restart after the final caution and passed Denny in turn 3 or 4, Tyler Reddick and William Byron followed and gave chase to Kyle Larson. William Byron was in a must win scenario but unfortunately he used up his tires and was on the losing end of contact with Tyler. Kyle Larson went on to win his 7th race of the season and punched his ticket into the round of 8 playoffs. The other drivers joining him in that around are Denny Hamlin, Martin Truex Jr, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski.
