  1. The Queen of country music turns 89 today. She's in poor health but don't believe those internet stories that say she's gone. Loretta is.....and always will be.... my favorite female singer. Her voice is as unique as a voice can get...just like her friend Patsy Cline. When you heard their voices you didn't have to stop and ask who it was. We love you Miss Loretta.

I'm feeling better now. It definitely feels good to unplug occasionally in these crazy times. Our new puppy is doing great. After about 24 hours she felt right at home. We're even making progress on potty training. It's been 20 years since we've done that. Spring is definitely here.

  3. (Season 2 The Ghost of General Lee) Maybelle Tillingham: "Operator. Operator." Daisy Duke:"Maybelle! Give me the Sheriff's station!" Enos: [checking off something] "There you go." [phone rings] Enos:"Sheriff's office. Deputy Enos Strate speaking." Daisy Duke:"Enos! You've got to come over to the Boars Nest, quick!" Enos:"I appreciate the invite, Daisy.... It's mighty nice of you. But I'm on duty right now, honey." Daisy Duke:"This ain't an invite. There are two dudes here trying to rob Boss Hogg's safe!" Enos:"They are? Oh... Well, I'll be right there!" Daisy Duke:"Please hurry!"

Some real gems in this one I love the crayon comment I bet Cody Ware got a nice talking too from daddy after the race since he caused about half the cautions.

Tempers flared and by the end of the Martinsville race some of the cars looked like they survived a demolition derby. Martin Truex jr won the race after passing his teammate Denny Hamlin and became the first repeat winner of the season. Ryan Blaney had the dominant car of the day but a bad pit stop where the front tire changer forgot to pull the air hose from in front of his car caused him to take the hose and wrench with him when he drove out of his pitbox which resulted in a penalty. He did manage to make it back to 11th place. Top 10 1. Martin Truex jr 2. Chase Elliott 3. Denny Hamlin 4. William Byron 5. Kyle Larson 6. Joey Logano 7. Christopher Bell 8. Tyler Reddick 9. Kevin Harvick 10. Kyle Busch

Ernie:"Don't worry, she ain't goin' anywhere." Phil:"Yeah. That's right. She ain't, is she?" Ernie:"Come on. Let's get outta here." Phil:"You bet."

That's a good thing to do once in a while. It also gives your eyes a break too, the blue light screens emanate are not good for the eyes long term. While walking one of the trails at a nearby park we came across a pair of Eastern Hog-nosed Snakes. The female was about 3 foot long and about two inches in diameter and was a dark gray almost black pattern. The male about 1 3/4 foot long, yellow tan with black splotches pattern. The female was very irritated that we stopped to check them out lol. I used the Seek app to identify them as we've only ever seen garter snakes at this park.

  10. I caught a blooper/mistake in Season 7 Cale Yarborough Comes to Hazzard. When Rosco makes the jump into the grain silo, the light bar/siren flies off his car. But when we cut to him sitting in the car in the silo, when he says "Alright Bo & Luke Duke! You've really done it this time!" The light bar/siren is magically back on the car as it slides down into his view on the windshield.

  11. In Season 2 Ghost of General Lee, I noticed Boss Hogg's safe in the Boars Nest office disappears and reappears during the scene when Phil and Ernie steal it while Daisy is tied up. It's there, then gone. After it shows them loading it into their stolen pickup truck, it is back again. Then when Luke busts in when him and Bo arrive, after Phil and Ernie leave, and asks her "You alright?" And she says "I am now." The safe is back again.

  12. Well, OK, so perhaps the salesman was an actor and perhaps the driver wasn't Jeff Gordon. I still like it and still think it was funny. Logically speaking, if it was a true prank, they'd risk getting sued or what not if the "salesman" had an heart attack or something went wrong or what not. And they tend to put a stunt driver during any stunt... All the same, I did like the video. Sorry Hoss you ain't gonna rain on my parade - especially when Jeff Gordon is in it even if it is only outside of the car.

  13. Hey...owe! What was that for? I was just speakin' the truth...first televised race and Cale goes and steals the show away from Richard Petty who went on to win the race. While he won the race, Cale was fighting the Allison brothers which grabbed more attention than the King winning the race. Poor Richard... Not fault you chose to like a trouble maker. Thows the nerf football back at you to hit you in the shoulder.

  15. Nobody here had better say anything bad about Cale Yarborough or there's going to be trouble.

  16. I will try not to take any offense to you speaking negatively about my second favorite driver. You're just lucky you are picking on my all time favorite driver...then I would definately take offense to it. Personally don't understand why or how so many people don't like Jimmie Johnson...but then again he is my second all time favorite NASCAR driver, so my opinion on the matter is a tad biased.

It's really unfortunate for small businesses that so many millennials are too lazy to shop local and instead just get it from Amazon because "it's easier". Wouldn't surprise me within the next 20 years the only stores left will be Amazon, Walmart, Krogers and one of the big 3 of the home improvement stores.
