Luckily, they've abandoned the gimmicks in F1. There's now an extra point for the fastest lap (so long as the driver finishes in the top 10), but that's about it. Unfortunately, this truncated season has been a bit one-sided - Mercedes collected their 7th consecutive Constructor's trophy yesterday, and Lewis Hamilton is about 99% certain of winning the Driver's trophy, but that's partly because Ferrari have had to make undisclosed changes to their car which left it off the pace. There was a little trial and error before they settled on the current qualifying format, but at least they dropped the one-season-only double points for the last race a few years ago.

You'd have to be blind and deaf not to see this coming...23XI racing going to be a Joe Gibbs Racing satellite team https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/10/30/michael-jordan-bubba-wallace-denny-hamlin-23xi-racing-aligns-with-toyota-joe-gibbs-racing/ Mike Wheeler to be crew chief https://nascar.nbcsports.com/2020/10/30/mike-wheeler-will-be-crew-chief-for-bubba-wallace-michael-jordan-denny-hamlin/ Chase Elliott punched his ticket to the 'final four' round for the Championship by dominating Martinsville yesterday leading 236 laps. Ryan Blaney finished 2nd, Joey Logano 3rd, Brad Keselowski 4th, Kurt Busch 5th, Alex Bowman 6th, Aric Almirola 7th, Clint Bowyer 8th, Kyle Busch 9th and Matt Dibenedetto 10th. Kevin Harvick, although winning the most races this season, did not make the 'final four' cut. Which in my opinion is exactly what's wrong with this gimmicky playoff format. They should go to a format of if you won and or top 20 in points you're automatically in the final championship race.

  4. October and Fall in general is 'Dukes' season to me for some reason. I think its because that's typically the time of year we would venture up to the Smokey Mountains area, which means trips to Cooter's and just being in the deep south region ('Hazzard country'). The last few years working for Ben Jones at all the Cooter's stores this time of year has just added to that feeling! M

  5. That is actually something I considered! Although if we do that, it will actually be a hole into the neighboring store M

  6. Here is the current state of things at the end of October- Its really starting to look like the Hazzard garage we know. Big thanks for my awesome team: My wife Dawn (who it turns out is a great scenic painter), Walter (who it turns out is a great carpenter and electrician!), and Joe, Nelu, and Shannon who keep the store running while we tear it apart, and scare children with the construction noise! Its a particular challenge working around the General Lee- we have to be very careful swinging ladders, lumber, and paint around it.

    Hey Everyone.....

Good point. I always put my seat belt on before logging into the HazzardNet. Even if I'm not driving too fast here, there's always some other leadfoot who is.

    Hey Y'all

This forum is AWESOME and it is so good to find like-minded DOH fans! I have rediscovered the show on CMT after many years. I remember Friday nights at 8pm, where I could be found no where else but in front of the TV watching the Dukes! After all these years, it's good to see them back on TV, especially given what we call TV entertainment today. Anyway, glad to be here!
