WB maintains quality consistency with the Dukes of Hazzard Complete Sixth Season. After season 4 and 5 featured single sided discs, Season 6 returns to the double sided discs. Although this reviewer has heard negative opinions from other DVD enthusiasts about single sided discs, I happen to think they’re better in terms of keeping the packaging slim enough for the shelf near my DVD player. LOL The episodes once again look great. Crisp and clear with the digital transfer and of course uncut. The sound is very good too. I’ve picked up on some little nuiances that I missed during the television airing and my worn out video tapes. Thankfully WB hasn’t skimped on this. However, WB did skimp just a little on the packaging and it’s becoming obvious that we’re nearing the end of the line. Although there’s one more season to go, WB didn’t put much into the photos of the packaging for season 6. There’s some nice photos but much fewer than what we’ve seen in previous sets and the photo of Luke and Bo on the back of the box sitting on the doors of the General is from the first reunion movie….with younger Tom and John faces super-imposed over the bodies of the older actors. Don’t tell me WB ran out of photos of the boys that they had to resort to this?? Despite that the set contains a couple of extras… There is a feature on the General Lee that Charger enthusiast will enjoy. It discusses at some length the history and design of the Dodge Charger. The other extra in this set features Ben “Cooter” Jones and Sonny “Enos” Shroyer re-visiting the original filming location for the show in Conyers, GA. They tour the Holiday Inn where they all met for the first time, some famous spots around town where they had car chases, as well as the location of the famous first jump and the jump over Rosco’s patrol car, both of which are in the opening credits. Overall, the set as with all the others, is worth the $30. =)
