Also, all y’all between New England and Philly that’ll be watchin’ the Super Bowl next Sunday keep yer eye out for the Dukes of Hazzard trailer. This is fitting….given that the Dukes originally premeired on tv following Super Bowl XIII in 1979…. =)

Now, in the news…Back on January 8th, filming of the Dukes movie moved the to campus of LSU. Bo and Luke go to college?!? Apparently so, according to the Louisiana newspaper The Advocate. Click here for the short story.  

Movies.com has some information on the Dukes movie (nothing more than you’ve already learned here at HNet. Ain’t you glad you come here first for the news?? LOL). However, it has a MovieNation Reader Rating and the Pre-Release Buzz Factor rating for the upcoming movie is 3.93 out of a possible 5. That puts it between being worth the matinee and full price tix. There has been tons of talk within the auto industry of Chrylser’s move to bring back the Dodge Charge nameplate. NASCAR fans know that the Charger will be Dodge’s entry on the race track, making it yet another four door sedan to race. Yep, you heard right. FOUR DOORS. Chrylser has no immediate plans for a two door coupe version of the Charger. (HNet Content Manager Editorial: “Boo Hiss..”)

Frankly they shoulda done like they did with the Grand Cherokee back in 1992 and drive the car through the plate glass window. But we here at HNet were not consulted first. =) Detroit News

25 years after stirring up Friday night television with her own hand made short-shorts, the Original Daisy Duke, Cathy Bach, is in negotiations with Levi’s to market….you guessed it: DaisyDukes!  =) Check it out here…

Well, we’re going to try offering email accounts again. Last time we got spammed into oblivion, but I think we may have found a decent solution to prevent that. We are still in testing phases, but are going to open it up for registration now. We are offering very limited free accounts (to deter spammers) and subscriptions to bigger and better accounts. We are also offering email at multiple Dukes of Hazzard related domains. If you sign up for one account, you get email at all domains for that username. Pretty slick. Unfortunately, we are unable to recreate accounts for those who previously registered because we are unable to determine who all the spammer accounts were. If you choose to sign up, please let us know if you have any problems or questions during this testing period.

We would also like any feedback you might have to make the system better (i.e. sizes of accounts, features, etc).You may sign up at HazzardMail.com. The other domains that will be available are: DukesMail.com, BoDuke.net, DaisyDuke.net, DukesOfHazzard.net, BossHogg.org, Rosco.org, and Cletus.org. We may add more later, so stay tuned.
